i'm so glad goncharov happened when it did, right before prolific public use of AI. that was pure honest gaslighting straight from the heart. real human whimsicality and trickery thru blood sweat and tears. we were a family. and we all gonched, together. you cant replicate that with any machine.

There should be a fanfic writing game called the showrunners challenge where someone writes a story and partway through someone else can play things like "actor leaves after 4000 more words" or "topic now too politically sensitive due to unforeseen world events" or "lost rights to that reference"

it just occurred to me how funny this is, like

when the terrified villagers showed up raving about mythical beasts, George was all willing to go along with it in terms of providing them shelter and food, but he had to draw the line at sending soldiers because he fundamentally did not believe them that a griffin had popped out of legend to attack their village (understandable)

and that just makes me picture a monty python-esque scene where like some village leader is like "IT WAS A MONSTROUS BEAST! IT HAD CLAWS LIKE SABERS! YOU HAVE TO SEND MEN" and George is just like "Mmm, mmm, yes, I hear you...but like, are we sure that maybe it wasn't just...a bird?" and the leader is like "IT HAD THE HAUNCHES OF A LION! THE HEAD OF AN EAGLE! IT WAS NO BIRD MY LORD!" and George was like "Like maybe a really big, kind of aggressive, scary bird though?" and the villagers were like "MY LORD, TWAS A GRIFFIN, YOU MUST SEND SOLDIERS!" and George was like "Yeah...no, I'm probably not gonna do that...but hey, how about we all go have a nice dinner, my treat, everyone get a good night's rest here...and then tomorrow when everyone is feeling more relaxed we can circle back on that bird idea again, see how it strikes you then."

oh i don't know what young adult needs to hear this but you should google what day your 10,000th day will be & set a reminder in your calendar. it happens somewhere in your 27th year. i was really bummed when i googled my own and found out i had missed it by like 2 months.

(if you missed yours too, no worries, we both get another chance to celebrate 15,000 at 41. Unfortunately you will be 54 years old before you are 20,000 days old, at which point we will have overthrown the concept of linear time anyway)

life is very cute, and you have struggled a very long time to be here, and i love you. sometimes i think we need to invent our reasons for celebration. maybe today you are 10,345 days old. or 12,345. or 8,435. maybe u should just celebrate because it is a weekday, and those are hard days. i love u , light a candle and blow it out. i'm proud of you for staying.
