I know the genie is out of the bottle and you can't go back but dear GOD I hate the mainstreamification of fandom so much
I do NOT want authors or showrunners or actors to acknowledge us or talk about fanfic or fanart or fan theories! I do NOT want people asking questions of the canon creators and getting them answered (make up your own answers, like god intended!) I do NOT want companies making jokey advertisements aimed toward fandom!
I know that fandom was never entirely underground but like... I miss that fourth wall existing, you know?
At some point I think you guys need to seek out your mean asshole girl characters and fandoms outside of franchises directed toward the teething demographic.
Ruckus is the largest and lightest pup. He has dark patches on his muzzle and entire nose. He is the only male to have long, soft fur.
Chaos is the next largest male. He has the most white on his face and half his nose is dark. He is short and coarse furred, and may end up being a wire-haired pup as an adult.
Mayhem is the smallest male and smallest puppy of the litter. He also has short, coarse fur that may end up wire-haired. He has a very even, narrow white blaze that makes an upside down Y shape around his muzzle.
Shenanigans is the only female, the only black and white puppy, and the only one to lack the blaze. She is a long, soft furred puppy like Ruckus, but her hair is shorter than his.
just saw an absolutely rancid take, so here's a reminder
if you come across someone and can "just tell" they're wearing a diaper under their clothes? most of the time that's someone with a disability, not a kink
and even if it were a kink, it's under their clothes and none of your business
you literally have no way of knowing a complete stranger's health status and disabilities, and it's none of your business either way
Genuinely think that the worst thing about online discourse is how any public or semi-public displays of negative emotion are framed as manipulative.
"This person leaned on friends for support during a difficult and personal time" becomes "this person emotionally manipulated the people around them to get attention."
"This person made a few posts on their personal blog about how something triggered them or made them feel suicidal" becomes "this person guilt-tripped the people around them in order to get sympathy and not be held accountable for their actions."
Even private displays of emotion are manipulative now. Sending someone a private message to clear something up instead of getting into public drama is concealing and manipulating the situation. Keeping things to a private vent blog is deceptive.
It's all just such an absolute mess. You aren't allowed to lose your cool for even a moment without someone making a callout post about you. You can't cry in a group chat because your pet just died or make a personal post about how being spammed with harassment makes you suicidal or anything. You just have to take it in silence, and even then, that's framed as manipulative and refusing to acknowledge your supposed actions.
