In an electrifying announcement that will cause anticipatory convulsions through the world of metal, Bay Area icons MACHINE HEAD have announced the first leg of their 'Slaughter The Martøur Nørth America 2024’ tour. Forgoing their “An Evening With…�� format for the first time in a decade, MACHINE HEAD will have LA’s cyber-metal masters FEAR FACTORY, Sweden’s ORBIT CULTURE, and Louisville, KY’s GATES TO HELL in tow guaranteeing your 2024 starts off as heavy as humanly possible!

'Slaughter The Martøur Nørth America 2024’ will kick off with a “hometown” show for MACHINE HEAD, their first since 2020 in San Francisco on January 19th. Then the tour heads north with shows in the Pacific Northwest as well as eight shows in Canada. Other stops include Chicago, Orlando, and Houston before concluding in Los Angeles on February 24th at The Bellwether.

Iron Maiden Nominated for the 2023 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. 

Iron Maiden has been nominated for the 2023 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame among 14 other nominees. The announcement came as along with Iron Maiden are Soundgarden, Kate Bush, Sheryl Crow, Rage Against The Machine and Joy Division/New Order. It has been a hopeful that Iron Maiden would one day be nominated and today it has happened. 

The band was formed by basest Steve Harris in Leyton, England in 1975 along with Adrian Smith, Dave Murray Clive Burr and vocalist Paul Di'Anno.  The band released 2 records with Vocalist Paul Di'Anno until Samson vocalist Bruce Dickenson joined the band for The Number of The Beast in 1982. The band went on to release 17 studio albums including their latest Senjutsu in 2022 on BMG.

Finnish melodic death metal strikers MARIANAS REST have officially signed a worldwide contract with Napalm Records.

Hailing from the coastal town of Kotka, MARIANAS REST pool the full extent of their musical expertise to raise their gloomy symbiosis of melancholic melodic death metal spiced with significant doom elements to the next level. Founded in 2013, MARIANAS REST released their first full-length, Horror Vacui, back in 2016, followed by the critically acclaimed long player Ruins (2019).  With their further creative output, the Finns – with Jaakko Mäntymaa on vocals and Omnium Gatherum’s Aapo Koivisto on keys – have already proven their ability to master the tightrope act between despair and darkness along with a spark of hope.  Earlier this month, Canadian melodic power metal quartet UNLEASH THE ARCHERS announced the upcoming release of their fifth full-length album, Abyss, out August 21, 2020 via Napalm Records. Lifted by the urgent, breathtaking vocals of frontwoman Brittney Slayes, on Abyss, the band re-cements themselves as an unequalled, undeniable metallic force with their strongest album to date.

 Today, the band is thrilled to reveal a brand new, otherworldly music video for the album's colossal title track, "Abyss". Musically, the track unveils the diversity of UNLEASH THE ARCHERS, delivering one earworm moment after another. Its accompanying video, directed by Rod Scobie (also director of the band's music videos for "Awakening" and "Northwest Passage"), takes the viewer on a CGI rollercoaster ride – launching them firmly from the terrestrial plane to the celestial one.  "This track set the tone for the whole record; conceptually, lyrically, musically, it all started here. Andy came up with the opening riff back when we were writing Apex, but I knew right away it didn't belong on that record. When we finally started writing Abyss in 2019, this was the first song we wrote and it was the first song I listened to when the record was done. It symbolizes five years of hard work for us, and I think it does a great job of putting the listener in the right place emotionally to start the record. It hints at what the rest of the album is all about, but also doesn't give it all away, not by a long shot!"

LIFE OF AGONY and DOYLE (of the Misfits) Team Up for Beast Coast Monsters Tour 2020. US Tour Dates Begin on March 13 in Philadelphia, PA:

Following the incredible success of their 2019 European tour together, LIFE OF AGONY and Doyle (featuring the iconic guitarist of the Misfits) will bring their Beast Coast Monsters tour to the U.S. and Australia in 2020. The tour kicks off this March on Friday the 13 in Philadelphia, PA (full dates listed below).

The comradery between these musicians began in the mid-90s when LIFE OF AGONY first toured with the Misfits throughout America. “It was one of the most fun tours I’ve ever done,” says Doyle. “I still workout to Other Side Of The River.” In fact, Doyle would often jump up onstage to perform this LOA fan favorite during their recent European run.

The feeling is mutual. LOA bassist Alan Robert explains, “We all grew up on Misfits records and have been huge fans since we were kids, so getting to know Doyle and the guys on a personal level has been really amazing. We had such a blast together last winter in Europe, that we decided to keep the party going in the States and in Australia this year.”

LIFE OF AGONY’s critically acclaimed 2019 release, The Sound of Scars (Napalm Records), was named ALBUM OF THE YEAR by The Aquarian and took the #1 spot on Metal Hammer’s (DE) Alternative-Rock/Punk “Best of 2019” list.
