Okay, I am genuinely curious: what was your first Zelda game, and were you like me in thinking that it was the only actual game and all the rest were just knockoffs?

No joke, my first game and the one I grew up with was A Link to the Past, and I remember being like seven and reading the guide booklet for Ocarina of Time and thinking to myself, "Raised by a tree? What idiot wrote this; every sensible Zelda fan knows he was orphaned and lived with his Uncle!"

#ocarina of time the 3DS version specifically #I didn’t get to play any Zelda till I was a teenager #and the trailer for BOTW was out #BOTW was going to be my first #but it wasn’t out yet and I was too curious about the series to wait #so I grabbed OOT instead and perfectly set myself up to be disappointed by BOTWs bosses lmao #the main thing that sparked my interest btw was actually the Terrible Fate youtube video #I stumbled on it once and was immediately enthralled #but I knew Majoras Mask was a sequel so I played OOT first #but yeah basically Skull Kid is was dragged me into the series as a whole #so it’s fitting he’s still my favorite all these years later
