back to basics! i’m reading this whole chemistry text book because i really feel i’m lacking some fundamental knowledge. i’ve been told it’s sacrilegious to write in textbooks but i got this for free from uni and it’s got like three years worth of content in it

Despite being forced to stay inside my apartment, I luckily got my book mail before this mess started and I’m enjoying my currently readings all day long. I started with If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio, I wanted to take a break from classics and complex readings with a fast paced and intriguing mystery. I like underline and write down after sentences and words I’ve found fascinating and full of poetry for my own writing exercise.

I submitted my last essay of my 2nd year at university today! I’m someone who is very happy doing nothing all day so I’m not going to lie I’m super excited to just relax and watch as much TV as possible. I’ve made a list of all the things I might do during the summer, but for now I’m glad to be able to chill out without having an assignment looming.

Summer still comes on in waves even when we’re stuck in the apartment, it’s all open windows and ice clinking in a glass and sweat smudging my ink

well, this is it. the very last essay for the semester. once i submit it on monday, i’ll be free for most likely nine months. this is certainly a sizeable final hurdle thought - it’s the biggest essay i’ve ever had to write, and one of the most difficult subjects i’ve ever taken. i actually think the editing process over the next couple of days will be just as challenging as the first draft has been to write.

i really think its important to rest when you dont feel like studying. it’s helped with the really bad feelings ive had over the past few days regarding not doing enough, or not bring good enough. i decided to take a few days off to read, nap, make churros. i feel more at peace now.
