Bloodweave x My Tav, angst things

Tw/Cw: Suicidal Thoughts, Suicide Ideation, Self-Harm, Eating Disorders, past Sexual Abuse and Torture

Sometimes, when being intimate, Astarion gets flashbacks of Cazador’s abuse. Of course, Zion and Gale immediately stop when they see it, but they wish they could just will the memories away for Astarion not to hurt. As is, they simply do whatever they can to help him through it

He also still sometimes feels as if he doesn’t have worth past his body, since he’s been conditioned to believe that for 200-ish years

Back when Gale was with Mystra, he used to watch his diet obsessively, wanting to appeal to her godly standards. There’s still times when he starts to starve himself, despite knowing Astarion and Zion love him as he is. He can’t help it, old habits die hard

He also gets insecure about his weight (He’s chubby no I don’t take criticism). Zion and Astarion do their best to reassure him, but sometimes it’s still not enough and he ends up watching his diet obsessively again

Zion has depressive episodes from time to time. Sometimes, when it gets bad, they have to force themselves to ask Gale to put the hold person spell on them, until they can trust themselves to not do anything all of them will regret. Other times they don’t manage, and end up scratching their forearms until they bleed

The three of them don’t argue often, it’s mostly playful banter, but when they do it’s not pretty, whatever the subject of their argument may be. Astarion slips back into his mask, Zion’s mind numbs them as a defense mechanism, and Gale just feels so, so guilty. For the most part Zion is the one to resolve the aftermath, because despite their numbness they still want Gale and Astarion to be happy

On that note, Zion would do literally anything for the two of them, even to the point of disregarding their own needs, comfort and/or safety

They once let slip that, if they knew how, they’d kill Mystra in an instant. Gale tried to talk them down, and it led to a serious argument between the two. For once Astarion had to try and resolve this one. He did manage, but not without trouble. Gale still lowkey holds it against Zion they want to kill the goddess of magic

Zion often talks about their own death, or death in general, as something more good than bad, even beautiful, because their depression and suicidal thoughts have forced them into that mindset to stay somewhat sane

Once a person found out Astarion is a vampire. He ended up killing them for the word not to spread. He came back to the tower really shaken, despite knowing it was self-preservation that caused him to do that, but he still felt guilt. Zion and Gale still don’t know about it, but they have their suspicions

Bloodweave x My Tav, fluffy things

I just love them so much, I can’t help making more stuff

Post-game (I say, as someone who’s barely finished act 1 cuz I can only play once a week lmao) the three of them live in Waterdeep in Gale’s tower

Astarion has his own dedicated floors with windows that are completely sealed off from the sun so he can walk around safely during the day

Zion has a hoarding habit. They own a bag of holding with all sorts of random items, rocks, plants, feathers, jewelry, especially shiny gold coins, small pieces of wood, if they find it cool or interesting they’re yoinking it. Gale, upon finding this out, dedicates a part of the tower for their stuff to be displayed. Zion talks Gale and Astarion through all their shit as they put it up. To their surprise, there’s quite a bit. Eventually, if this continues, they’re gonna have to crate demiplanes for all this stuff, Gale thinks.

On that note, Zion picks up any small thing they think the other two might like, or that reminds them of the two. They’re met with grateful, adoring smiles most times

Zion has a draconic tail. Gale and Astarion notice they sway it from side to side often, and find that incredibly endearing

Gale is chubby, and Zion and Astarion love to cuddle with him because he’s soft and warm (they’re cat coded) (also I won’t be taking criticism, constructive or otherwise)

When Astarion was figuring out his attraction, it basically went like: “Okay, Zion yes, I can see Zion. They’re highly intelligent, cunning, charismatic, if a bit peculiar… But Gale? Gale, of all people? Ugh! Why do I have to fall for such… specific beings?”

When he tells Gale and Zion about this, they point out he’s literally a vampire spawn. Astarion sulks for the rest of the day until they invite him to cuddle, at which point he decides to mercifully forgive them

Astarion and Zion get along with Tara (and yes I know about her, I spoiled myself lmao) exceptionally well. One can often find the three of them just staring at a wall pointlessly. Tara does it because cat things, Zion because they just got lost in thought, and Astarion to unnerve Gale a little bit, in which he succeeds. “Would you quit doing that?!”

Astarion is the shortest of them, at 170cm, Zion is 180, and Gale, 190. He pretends to dislike being the little spoon, but he actually loves it

Zion’s pet names for Gale: My Wizard, My Love, My Human (affectionate), My Fool (affectionate)

Astarion’s pet names for Zion: Darling, My Sweet, Sweetheart, My Dear, Sweet Thing, My (Little) Treat, Dessert (playful), My Drake

Astarion’s pet names for Gale: Darling, My Sweet, Sweetheart, My Dear, Wizard, Gorgeous, Handsome, My Personal Pillow (affectionate, and mostly used while cuddling), Professor (playful)

Gale doesn’t really use pet names, but when he does, it’s just “My Love”, “My Dear” or “My Sweet”

Astarion mostly feeds on Zion, their blood sour-sweet in a good way, but occasionally, when he’s particularly hungry and they have no blood to spare, he’ll feed on Gale, despite his blood tasting awfully bitter

How they got together with that “waits for confession” chart? Zion finally got sick of Gale and Astarion dancing around each other and made them talk it through, which led to some revelations, and they agreed to try and work it out together (with some initial hesitation from Astarion, but he figured “fuck it, why not?”)

My Tav!!! :D

I thought I’d share how they look in-game, since drawing them can only do so much lol

If you want some additional info (+more how i see them) it’s under the cut lol

So, my Tav.

Their name is Zion, because they’re essentially a self insert and I’m very uncreative

They’re a sorcerer

They’re nonbinary (use they/them), aromantic (but still willing to be in a relationship when they find a person they feel comfy with), and asexual (sex positive tho)

(Let me explore my sexuality through fiction okay-)

They’re around 180 years old during the game’s events, which I’ve decided is more or less 25-30 human years

They’re a human-drow-dragonborn, but the human traces are very slight because their parents were pure dragonborn and a half-drow, but down a few generations of drow/drow relationships. Their most human parts are the slightly creamy colors to their cheeks and ears, as well as a small amount of almost-white hairs, mostly over their arms and legs

From more draconic features, they mainly have slitted pupils, like a cat, because it’s fun, and their teeth are sharper than average. Plus they have scales, other than on the face, on their biceps, and all over their chest area (no nipples lol). Plus sharper-than-usual nails :)

I’ve also decided they do have a draconic tail, despite that not being an option in in-game customization, because it’s my imagining of the world and I get to do what I want, I am the DM now >:3

On that note, big sucker for wings here, so… you know. They have “retractable” (part-magic) draconic wings. But, to make it less op, I’ve made it hurt like hell whenever they summon them, cause it’s essentially like speed-growing an additional body part with bone in it, then shedding it like a skinwalker on supernatural, so they don’t use that nearly at all, unless under really strong emotions, or under extreme circumstances. But, to make it more fun, their feet also turn draconic when they do that

(Ik people are probably gonna come at me for that one, but eh, I don’t really care. It’s my version of the world, after all. Besides, it doesn’t come up often so you can technically just ignore that)

They have the criminal background, and I don’t quite have their backstory fleshed out just yet, but I know they became a thief to survive after their family was killed due to debt (drow are brutal), then it became a sort of revenge thing, to steal from rich people and such

They got found out at one point, at around 150 years of age, and were hunted down, but escaped the town before they got caught and/or killed, which is pretty much like a banishment if you think about it lol

Since then they’ve just been living sorta on the run, stealing or foraging and hunting to survive, at first in the Underdark, then, later, on the surface

Twas on one of their heists for food the nautiloid got them

Now for some fun facts and other little things!

They actually dislike the sun, it makes their eyes hurt from how bright it is. Were very disappointed because everyone who’s seen it and been in the Underdark praised its beauty and shit, but when they saw it for the first time they were just like “I cannot see”

They still appreciate sunsets and sunrises though

They speak Common, Undercommon, Drowish, and know how to say a few basic phrases in Draconic/Glav (they can read the alphabet as well, just not out loud)

They’re very morally grey. Like, would sell your soul to a devil for a single corn chip with no remorse but would also immediately stand up to your abuser kind of morally grey

They can eat raw and rotten food without much consequence, because their draconic ancestry makes their stomach acid more… well, acidic, so it just melts all the bad stuff away. They don’t like rotten food tho, it tastes bad. Raw meat on the other hand…

Once they get attached to someone they will do anything for them

Despite Astarion’s lines being pretty much copy-pasted from a script, they find them endearing (until they learn about his past, then they want to hold him every time he falls back into that habit)

They have unreasonable amounts of charisma when they want (17), despite the fact they’re a total dumbass other times

Speaking of stats, STR is at 8, so they’re very lean

Their favorite animals are snakes, they just love the noodly babies

They make dirty jokes every chance they get (to the delight of Astarion and demise of literally everyone else)

They hate kids. Like, really. They let that tiefling child who stole the locket from that one guy get slapped lmao

Aside from the visible piercings, they have a belly button one as well

More Baldurs Gate 3 Doodles!!

This game has consumed my soul

Plus a bonus, my Tav as a child, something I’m never gonna finish cuz I wasn’t happy with it

Some explanations under the cut

The left one would be the equivalent of 5-6 human years old, real time around 40-50, the other between 11 and 12, so 90-100

My Tav’s a human-drow-dragonborn, but only slight traces of human genetics since their parents were pure dragonborn and half-drow who’s down a few generations of half-drow/drow relationships.

So really the thing that’s most noticeable is the somewhat creamy skin tone around their cheekbones and on the tips of their ears. That, and the almost white hair growing over some parts of their body. Even so, the both of these are light enough not to catch straight away.
