My opinions on the different character iterations in Trigun! (Some of these are serious…. Others less so)

Trimax Vash: My girlfriend who’s suffered more than Jesus

Badlands Rumble Vash: He’s ovulating and somebody needs to do him about it (it’s me I’m somebody)

Tristamp Vash: I like his new design solely on the basis that it was a choice Vash made to look more human, not studio orange trying to make him more fuckable. Come on. He already was.

Trimax Wolfwood: She has eldest daughter syndrome she has religious trauma he walks around wearing a suit in a hundred degree heat he’s bitchless and terrified of his girlfriend I want her

98 Wolfwood: Insane. He failed to knife fight a robot in the same episode he blew his priestly cover by shooting the same robots he failed to knife fight. This was the episode he was introduced

Trimax poses and chapter titled Desperado. Nightow said in the “Puff” Magazine interview he was a fan of the movie.

Elendira’s likeness to one of the main characters in Galaxy Express 999. Nightow also said he is a fan of the movie in the “Puff” Magazine interview.

Nightow drew some art of the Terminator, and Meryl has very strong Sarah Connor vibes in Trigun Stampede season finale.

The “Informer” artist Snow wore ripple framed glasses. The hit song was release in 1992.

The piece Nightow did resembling the Puffy AmiYumi Jet album cover from 1998.

Vash looks fearful as Knives quickly moves behind him, covers his eyes with a hand, and, smiling, shouts, "Abra cadabra!" Kaz's attic rooms in the Slat

(canon notes under the cut)

All canon descriptions of Kaz's attic rooms:

"The Slat wasn’t much [...] crowned with an attic and a gabled roof." -> most likely a room with slanted walls.

"The attic rooms had been converted into his office and bedroom." -> the attic is partitioned into two separate rooms.

"The [office] room was mostly taken up by a makeshift desk – an old warehouse door atop stacked fruit crates – piled high with papers." -> the office isn't large; considering the dimensions of a warehouse door, and that it takes up most of the space, the room is VERY ROUGHLY 4x3m (13x9 ft).

"...he walked through the door to his tiny bedroom. [Inej darted] a glance at him through the open doorway [as he] dipped a cloth in the wash basin." -> (1) the office and bedroom are separated by a wall and door. (2) the bedroom is even smaller than the office - around 4x2m maybe. (3) assuming Inej was standing in the middle of the office, she had a line of sight to the wash basin through the bedroom door.

"Whenever he sat down to try to get some work done, he’d find his eyes straying to the window ledge." -> the window has enough room to sit, and there is a direct line of sight from kaz's office chair to it.

the slat is pretty clearly modeled after amsterdam's canal ring houses. I based the room's overall set-up and position within the house on this incredible post by @arany-studio.

furniture designs and bedroom features are inspired by 17-19th century rooms. I didn't try to be very specific with the style because (a) Ketterdam is not really a direct adaption of the early 19th century, (b) Kaz is a barrel rat and his furniture just came from wherever he could get them, including the street, abandoned buildings and mansions he robbed.

there are probably more things in the room that aren't depicted. I didn't want to crowd the drawing.

The mischaracterization of trigun characters in fanfic just irks my soul. Like ppl who portray Vash as poor kicked puppy boy who's never felt a drop of anger in his life like no! That guy nearly loses his absolute shit anytime he witnesses ppl hurting each other, like the amount of times the memory of Rem is the only thing that holds him back from absolutely decimating someone is not talked about enough. Also Meryl being the groups emotional guide??? That girl avoids other people's feelings faster than mouse runnin from a cat, she has no intention of sticking around for tough emotional conversations. Also give Wolfwood his silly!!! He is a silly man with a soft spot for kids and a hard ass attitude for blonde idiots!
