What you’re looking for won’t be found easily It grows upon the mountain in a sacred place Up beyond the clouds, in ancient ground, so they say And many men have died trekking up that away

I’d give it all to love that girl I’ll be the one to pluck that fleur

Muse A and Muse B are both on a quest to find the fabled la belle fleur sauvage, a flower which is said to contain magic which will bless any union of love to last forever. The flowers only grow at the peak of a steep and treacherous mountain, the base of which can only be reached by hiking through a very large forest, and then crossing a massive lake. Then, if you make it to the mountain, it’s a long and testing climb to make it to the top. Most who undertake this quest either give up, or never return. Now the Muses are meeting each other as they begin the journey; neither of them knows what they will face, but they both know that they will do anything to see it through.

Hearing him use the word dweeb, she couldn’t help but smile while putting her brows together in confusion. “I haven’t heard someone say the word dweeb since like 2010.” She said before letting out a laugh. “Anyways, just let me treat you. Please? It’ll make me feel better.” She said as she gave him a pleading smile, putting her dimples on full display. As the other tried to defend himself and all his snacks, Alexis quirked up a brow. A smile still apparent on her face and she couldn’t help but laugh once again once he sold himself out. “Do you even have a brother or did you just make that up? Either way, that was cute.” She mused. “And I’m not judging you for eating all these snacks.” She said before letting out another laugh.

Mason had that thought that he was feeling very resolute in turning down this goddess’ offer to pay for his snacks for him; that is, until she flashed him a pleading smile, and whatever resolve he’d had seemed to melt away like butter on a frying pan. There was simply no way that he could possibly refuse her after a smile like that. “I...alright. I guess, if it’ll make you feel better, then you can buy my snacks for me.” He agreed with a sheepish grin. That sheepish grin only widened when she called him out about whether he even had a brother, though when she told him his bluff had been cute, he flushed. “No, I actually do have a brother, but he’s not really the snacky type? He’s one of those dudes who, if he eats a single potato chip, he thinks he then has to spend the next like, five hours at the gym.” He explained, rolling his eyes and shaking his head. He and his brother Bradley really couldn’t have been more different from one another if they tried; which was probably why their parents were so proud of Bradley, while they didn’t even bother to hide their disdain for Mason. “You’d probably like him though; seems like all the ladies do.” He added with another disdainful roll of his eyes, scowling a bit at the thought of Bradley walking in suddenly, and immediately hitting it off with this super hottie, who made the girls that Mason dreamed about look like ogres in comparison.
