it’s terrible to think about how Normal is dealing with whatever mental distress he has going on, and now he has to deal with the loss of his crush (his love?) on TOP of everything. The beautiful part of Hermie and Normal’s relationship is that they were just too wacky kids in a FUCKED up world that were still able to find solace and comfort in one another. Despite Hermie playing this “hard to get” thing, he still deeply cared about Normie and wanted to pursue a relationship with him.

And poor NORMIE, confused with the amalgamation of Willy Stampler, Hell, his friends betraying him and re-bonding with him, being the positive glue that lowkey holds that group together… and he still found space in his mind and heart for Hermie. Because he wanted to be with him, in every sense of the word. He was Hermie’s mascot, and Hermie was the performance he would infinitely cheer for. And now he’s gone, leaving behind a void because no one would help try and revive him. Now where will Normal find the time to properly grieve and allow himself to feel?
