Guo Jia admits he is totally into Cao Cao but it’s too late (he’s married to Xun Yu now, back off, you had your chance) 

Sima Yi breaks his own legs (by letting a horse-drawn cart run his legs over) to get out of working for Cao Cao (should totally use that myself sometime)

But don’t worry, he has the time of his life while in his wheelchair

Once you get past the convoluted mess at the beginning, this show is worthwhile because Sima Yi is a total adorable dork in here

    “Don’t worry about me, Lord Xuande’s a pretty nice guy.” Admittedly, the thought of leaving her home made Shangxiang nervous. Furthermore, it was fairly irksome to know that she was nothing more than an instrument being used in the name of politics. Even so, though it felt out of character for her, she did not particularly mind. After all, since the events that unfolded at Chibi, the time spent with the charming lord never left her mind. She was infatuated with him – if anything, that was the plus side of this political arrangement.

    Pulling away from the embrace at arm’s length, the princess smiled at Xinyi. It was touching, almost bittersweet to see someone else care for her well-being. In a sense, all of Wu was her family, and that only made it harder to leave.

    “There’s no need to get so sappy. Besides, it looks like I’m leaving plenty of capable women in my stead. You’ll be able to look after my brother while I’m gone, yeah?”

“No, she was only playing!” Sun Ce responded as he checked his arm, only making a displeased face at the stinging sensation. “It’s not her fault, it’s mine. I should’ve lured her with a larger stick or another sort of toy for play, but I forgot I left her when she was much smaller and I think she was just excited to see me again.”

He shook his arm for a moment before he left the den and headed down the hallway to where the doctors would be and he gestured for his sister to follow. Sun Ce had only returned, but in his haste to see his family, both tiger and man alike, he had forgotten to ask the important questions.

“I’ve been away for months, and I’m glad to see that things are alright. I knew our brother could manage the lands just fine with me gone!”

    She understood, for certain. The bond between the Sun and actual tigers seemed to be the family quirk, so to speak. Of course, that goes without saying that the cubs were still animals and did not entirely understand what the boundaries were.

    Nevermind that, Ce was going to live. Giving a nod in confirmation, Shangxiang followed her older brother down the hallway.

    “Yeah, good luck convincing him that, though. He still finds in his free time to doubt himself.”

“C’mon now, not so hard!” Sun Ce grunted while he watched the tiger cub (who was almost bigger than he was now) bite down onto his forearm. The teeth had certainly broken the skin and drew blood, yes, but Sun Ce was used to this version of affection. Tiger cubs were never the occasional small house cats that dropped by from time to time.

With a couple of scratches behind her ears from Sun Ce, the tiger cub released her hold and immediately flopped onto her side and in turn Sun Ce laughed before he crouched and reached to rub at her belly. The chuffing noises from the cub in response brought a smile to the Little Conqueror’s face and he stood, the tiger cub followed and gave his thigh a quick nuzzle before she ran off to play with her siblings. “I should get this cleaned up.” he noted and he ran his fingers over the slight puncture wounds. Nothing a little salve and some bandages couldn’t cure.

    “Aw geez, not again...”

    Shangxiang was simply passing by a moment before – whether it was to go practice her martial arts or grab a bite to eat, or perhaps both, she had not yet decided – when she met the midpoint of her path and Ce’s. It appeared he was playing with the tiger cubs and, as one would expect, the playing got too rough.

    “Y’know, most would blame the animal for that,” the brunette remarked, hands on her hips as her emerald eyes gestured towards the small bite. Her stance may have given off an annoyed impression, but she could not help it. This was her brother, after all – a brother who happened to be the head of an entire region.
