We had Christmas in March at PawPatrol live. Anthony’s Christmas gift from KK and Grandad Ford was tickets to see the pups on stage. He was a little in shock when the show started but he opened up with the right dose of signing and popcorn. It was dark in the theater so the pictures are a little bit grainy. Glad I was able to capture his full range of emotions.

Dempsey had his first scoop of food today. He absolutely loved eating off of the spoon. He really took to solids and will start eating them daily at day care. Big steps for little brother.

We spent this weekend in Fort Worth at the Stockyards. Anthony loves horses and we thought it would be fun to bring him to the kid’s rodeo show. He was in awe the whole show but really got excited to pet one of the main horses. After we left the colosseum, Anthony wanted to ride a pony. It was the highlight was the day. He loved riding the pony and couldn't stop laughing. We topped the day off with a cattle drive. It was a fun filled day that I have a feeling we will be repeating sometime soon.

While we were bringing down Anthony’s 6 month clothes to fill Dempsey’s closet, we stumbled upon a rocking horse that was a hand me down from KK. Anthony has really taken to horses so we knew this would brighten up his day. He climbed on it right away and started to rock. He loves his new (really old) horsey.

Our second trip to the hospital this week is an attempt to reduce the amount of ear infections that Anthony gets. He was a trooper for the procedure and the doctor said it went well. We will spend the next week or so letting him drain while fighting fever and teething. Should be Motrin filled but he will be extra lovey dovey and snuggly which is a silver lining. Hope Ant bounces back quick!

We have a big hospital week planned. Dempsey visited the pediatrician today for his 4 month check up. He is a little behind on weight but we are working to add solids to his diet to get him back on track. Our next appointment this week is Anthony’s ear tubes surgery. Big week at Presby Plano!

Dempsey is 4 months old today and is working on new stuff daily. He is tackling tummy time and figuring out how to eat from a spoon. He is taking to Anthony so much. Every time Anthony does anything near him, he smiles and laughs. We are so excited to watch them both grow up together as besties.

We headed south on back-to-back weekends to spend Carmine’s birthday with him. Brittney and Carmine share the same birthday so we doubled down on the celebration. Fun times with Matt, Krystina, and Carmine in Austin.

We had a fun weekend in Houston with family. We stumbled upon a fun kid’s plat center that may have been the highlight of Anthony’s trip. Dempsey asked Emily to be his Godmother which was the highlight for everyone else. Short but fun weekend in Houston. Cant wait to go back to see them soon.

Our first blog post of 2019 is a big “first” for Anthony. He got his first haircut today. It took a little while for his hair to grow in but now that he has some to cut, this weekend was the perfect time to get it done. He was unsure of the situation at first, but after they put Paw Patrol on the TV, he turned his frown upside down. Fun day getting Anthony’s first haircut.

We closed out 2018 at Nonnie’s house. Anthony loved playing with sparkers and watching the fireworks. He especially loved seeing the horses at the barn. He wore his work boots that Grandad bought him but Dad made sure to leave them in New Orleans when we left. We have been in Nola for a while and are looking forward to seeing our pups after we make the drive back to Dallas.

We woke up early on Christmas Day to see what Santa brought for the boys. Ant loved his chair and all of his toys. Looking forward to Christmas 2019 so that Dempsey can open gifts and enjoy playing with new toys. We spent most of the rest of the week rough housing. Love spending time with these boys!

We attended the annual Christmas Eve mass at church then went back to Grandad and Maw Maw’s house to wait for Santa to arrive. Its was a great Christmas around family and both boys loved it.

We made it to New Orleans for Christmas break and had some fun with Grandad and Maw Maw in the park. Ant loved the slides and feeding the ducks. When we got home, he asked to ride the pony so Grandad couldn't resist taking him to the barn. He loves animals so much!
