The final bosses seriously need to stop trying to kill everyone in the world, i cannot take it seriously. What happened to just stealing the zapfish or something? honestly when i lost the mr. grizz fight i cheered and never attempted it again because i thought it would be funny to have the entire world be fuzzified forever. also because the fight just sucked. have fun being a furry everyone

i hate how literally all of the "story modes" mainly just provide backstory and barely any plot until you're right at the end (or beginning, in side order)

I think Splatoon could greatly benefit from external media (ie spin off, anime) from a story standpoint but I’m so tired of bringing it up and instead of being countered with any real criticisms, it’s “lol it’s funny squid kid game haha quit expecting unrealistic stuff” shut. No one’s trying to take away mainline Splatoon. You can still have the funny haha squid game while I can have firm world building and character development. We can have both. Please.

i started booyahing random teammates for kills even if they weren't what a lot of people consider booyah worthy during Christmas time to encourage new players and I just kept doing it out of habit. I found that doing that, 9 times outta 10, makes everyone in a random team both play better and act less toxic to each other. It doesn't work all the time but even if we lose everyone is way friendlier in the lobby waiting for the next game than if I was just booyahing wipeouts and multi kills

murch's inclusion in side order baffles me, all other characters are relevant to hero mode while murch is just. there. acht should've been blaster, their bracelet even resembles the hero blaster. also pearl's palette should've gotten the killer wail while shiver's should've gotten the reefslider

I hate how everyone took the evil Callie plot and ran with it like it was going to apply to every single future Splatoon game's story for the rest of the franchise's existence. And on the topic of an idol turning evil because they lost the final Splatfest I really hope that they don't take the frankly lazy route again and make Frye evil like some people are wanting, and that's if a Splatoon 4 is made and Deep Cut returns for it, and if Frye ends up losing the final fest. Yes, she has every reason to go rogue but it would just feel redundant and boring to see another idol (and one that had already been a villain at that) end up being the antagonist again. I think she could still break apart from Deep Cut without turning into a villain, and I want to see that utilized in a future game. I want more theories and speculative AUs around that instead.
