It sucks how so many people are against reptiles in racks, when that definition can be interpreted so broadly.

In most circumstances, you visualize a rack system with small tubs, paper towels for bedding and a water bowl. Y'know, what the big breeders advocate for.

However, it is also possible to have big, enriching rack systems! Lots of people have their nocturnal reptiles/snakes in tubs. It is good at retaining heat, humidity and, depending on the tub, can also provide a lot more cover than a terrarium.

I, for instance, keep my pets in a rack system I built myself. The tubs slide in and out. Not much different from keeping the tubs on a shelf with a heat mat under them.

What I guess I’m trying to say is- rack systems don’t inherently need to be bad. It can be a neat way to stack your snakes while still giving them the space and climate they need. And for what price?

85 bucks. That’s how much it cost me to build one of these beauties. Including heat tape, thermostats and some second hand hides.

In about a year I will be building an even bigger rack with bigger tubs, so my ball pythons will have climbing opportunities aswell- which frankly, is the only thing I am missing in this design.

Guys, this is serious. California could be the one chance Bernie Sanders has to take the Democratic Nomination in July. And the Media is trying to ruin it.

Hillary Clinton is falling in the polls. She’s tied with Donald Trump in some, and in others, he tops her. She’s losing. Bernie Sanders leads by double digits over Trump nationally. We need to let those know who are in California that there is some fishy business going on.

I kind of wish disney’s ~weird period~ had lasted longer. Like all of a sudden we were getting these films like lilo & stitch and Atlantis and the emperor’s new groove and treasure planet and they were so fun and DIFFERENT. Just thinking about what the pitches for those movies had to have been like is so surreal?? A little blue criminal alien crash lands on a Hawaiian island and gets adopted by two sisters dealing with social services that teach him about the value of family. An Inca emperor gets turned into a llama and john goodman helps him get back to his palace and one of the bad guys talks to squirrels. Treasure island but in SPACE. Like, on the surface, the premise for these films seem so random but they all TOTALLY WORKED IN REALLY GREAT WAYS??? idk I just really miss that early 2000s spark of offbeat creativity in Disney’s timeline.
