I am looking neither respectfully nor disrespectfully. I gaze without recognition of your form, and without understanding.

reminder:
anyone with any visual impairment can identify as blind ("visual impairment" describes your best possible vision WITH correction, not without)
you can't spot a blind person by looking at them from a distance, not all of us use canes or have guide dogs
not all of us have "unusual" looking eyes either
blindness as an identity exceeds legal blindness
blindness is a spectrum; 93% of the people who are considered legally blind have some residual vision, with the percentage being even higher when taking into account all blind people
there are many forms of blindness, from low visual acuity to restricted visual field to low depth perception to cortical visual impairment and so much more, we are not a monolith
blind people can use technology with a variety of accessibility settings and aids, or, depending on their condition, without any help
using braille is becoming less common among blind people, don't assume we can read it
blind people can live independently, having to ask for help sometimes isn't the same as dependence
some blind people carry a short white cane diagonally in front of their upper body, these are known as symbol canes or ID canes and are used to let other people know that they can't see well (note that these aren't used in all countries, some countries have other symbols)
not all blind people wear sunglasses 24/7, but the stereotype comes from the fact that a lot of us have problems with photosensitivity, or are tired of sighted people giving us crap for our eyes
if you feel like you're not "blind enough" to use a cane, audio description, large text, a screen reader or other accessibility aids, trust me that you are and you're not taking away from other blind people by getting your needs met, if you feel like it would make your life easier, it's for you. you don't owe anyone a certain level of suffering to use disability aids

German police are using extreme violence to evict the pro-Palestine camp outside the German parliament. The brutal eviction of the non-violent activists comes as police have banned the two-week-long camp with no legal basis. The activists are calling on Berliners to leave their place of work or study to join them in defense of their right to protest Germany's support for Israel's genocide.

Israel is setting up a complex system of checkpoints that will prevent men of “military age” from fleeing Rafah in preparation for its offensive on the southern Gaza border city, a senior western official familiar with Israel’s plans has told Middle East Eye on condition of anonymity. The checkpoints are designed to allow some women and children to leave Rafah ahead of an expected Israeli offensive, but unarmed, civilian Palestinian men will likely be separated from their families and remain trapped in Rafah during an expected Israeli assault. The previously unreported disclosure of Israel’s construction of a ring of checkpoints around Rafah underscores how Israel is pushing ahead with plans to attack the city where over one million displaced Palestinians are sheltering in tents and makeshift camps. The creation of gender-based checkpoints around Rafah would put a spotlight back on Israel’s practice of stripping and forcibly detaining male Palestinian men and children, as it faces rising scrutiny in the West of its conduct in the war. The rounding up of Palestinian males in Gaza and photographing them stripped to their underwear drew condemnation in December, with the US calling the images “deeply disturbing”. Relatives of many of the men photographed recognised them and said they had nothing to do with Hamas. Israel's military was later accused of staging footage of men surrounding weapons. “Israel considers every male a Hamas fighter until proven otherwise,” Abbas Dahouk, a former senior military advisor at the State Department and military attache in the Middle East told Middle East Eye. “It’s not a sound move. Cordoning Rafah is a daunting task and good luck separating fathers and sons from their families.”

Transcript: to that anon that compared selfcest to incest: it's uncomfortable in your opinion and that's fine, there doesn't have to be anything morally wrong with it for you to just not like it. i understand wanting people to shut up and stop making you look at stuff that you dislike, but the fact of the matter is that there's nothing tangibly wrong with sanscest because you cannot date or sex up your alternate self irl. it's pure fantasy. there's no reality for it to affect or to be compared to.
is it weird? sure! you're not wrong for finding it weird, i promise. but you should really just try to ignore it if you dislike it that much, because no amount of vagueposting and moral purity touting and hating will get people to shut up—this is the oncelercest website. and even then, sanscest is so deeply ingrained in utmv at this point that it's not just going to go away.
honestly to anyone who thinks the sanscest stuff is problematic and gross: ok. that's fair! it's not something you like. please avert your attention from it and focus on something that makes YOU happy instead, please. try to just have fun. block anyone and everyone, filter all the tags in the world. make yourself happy—i doubt winding yourself up about fictional relationships is doing anything more than hurting other real people and yourself.
thanks. 🩷
