Recently learned that apparently the budget for Jupiter Ascending was halved in the middle of development and that the original vision apparently couldn't be realized because of it and like... what could they have done with the full budget?! What would that film even have looked like?? What did we miss out on?? Also, Mila Kunis knew from the start it would flop but still stuck with it, and Eddie Redmayne got a razzie for it but said he's never had as much freedom with a preformance and it was 'freeing' (and like honestly his performance was fantastic, I LOVE him as this over the top melodramatic messy bitch). Like my GOSH this film is a phenomenon and I want to live in the version of reality where they DID have the full budget and we get to go on THAT trip. Honestly the world was just not ready for Jupiter Ascending and it still is not ready it seems and I am sad about it.

What's wild to me is.... most websites that have apps (IE hotels.com, trivago, amazon, target, drug stores, etc) are genuinely MUCH harder to navigate on a phone or tablet vrs the actual website and that is by design! Websites are still the main method for most traffic as the target audiences: Boomers and those older. Websites have that much more info readily available and able to be viewed as their clients are older and thus less likely to use apps and willing to take extra time to shop around. Personally I loathe doing any purchases on phones or tablets as ALL shopping apps COUNT on you not opening tabs or looking at more than 1 option because screen tiny! App can only open 1 thing at a time! Companies use this to their advantage, shoving ads into the screen, purposely making it to its that much harder to shop comparatively. Websites offer not just more info, they offer the consumer to shop competitively, rather than grabbing fast and likely higher priced goods. By the way, another millennial tip! If Uber and Lyft seem pretty far out/expensive, call your local cab company, give the to and from and ask for the fare cost. 90% they'll tell you. The benefits of cabs: -Drivers have a BG check as they're legal employees, and typically are no not contract workers -All drivers will have visible fare rates posted and you can WATCH it as your ride increase -Cabs have to regularly be inspected -Cabs are often regulated as an industry rather than by a single company -If you live in a metro area or near one, cab services almost ALWAYS have someone on the road ready to go where uber and lyft might not! -Because they often come from a main dispatch, you can always call for updates and ETA! -Cabs nowadays tend to have cab security cameras as well. -You can pay in card OR cash -They tend to have baller music playing and most cab drivers here are immigrants and have some of the best stories. Ofc be safe and smart but if you need a ride, don't discount cabs b/c 50% chance it's a cheaper fare and faster service.
