the idea of public restrooms as "women's spaces" continues to confound me. you know who I hope is in a public bathroom when I go in?? no one. I would prefer no one else be in the bathroom. and if someone else is in the bathroom I am going to ignore them as much as possible. I did not go into the bathroom to connect with other women. Controversial but educating men isn't gonna turn them into angels. Men don't commit violence against women because they're uneducated, they do that because they fuckin can. Learn some karate skills and fighting techniques or even some harmful spells if you can, and don't hesitate to beat the shit out of men if they refuse to take no for an answer. I'm reading up about "gender affirming care" in this country and after every mention of a sex organ/characteristic like breasts, uterus, testicles, etc. there's an obligatory parenthesis saying "we use this word for clarity, even though we understand that you might prefer other words for it!" and I don't understand how that right there doesn't clear this up for everyone: if you possess too much self hatred to hear your body parts referred to as their neutral medical names you are in no state of mind to undergo surgery to remove them. You need therapy first and foremost.
