I already said it once but I’ll say it again everytime I see it; I think it’s stupid to say that stsg is “so close to being canon” and then think Itafushi is mediocre and doesn’t have any solid romance.

Geto Suguru - Jujutsu Kaisen
i saw this guy in the tags of jjk long before he appeared in the anime, and while i had no idea who he was i was immediately taken in by his appearance. jjk uses its strong black/white limits of the manga world and make fantastic designs with that, and geto is my favorite for sure with his pants giving him a triangle shape that contrasts with gojo's triangle shape. i also love the little bang of hair so much i've actually wore it myself (and loved it) (i also considered getting my own pair of gauges because how much i liked geto's aesthetic lol). i mostly saw him in very stylized and gorgeous fanart and i won't pretend that his physical appearance (traditional clothing and sanpakume) already took root as a bias for liking him www
a character doomed by the narrative isnt smth i usually go for, but i was attached to him from day 1 and only spiraled more and more as i learned his backstory and the tragedy of being a teenager living in a society that never saw him as a person, just a tool... his desire to protect those closest to him over the masses taken to an unforgivable extreme. i like villain characters for the sake of them being "evil" but geto's exploration of how to wear down a good person is so tasty and makes you think about him deeply.
also [fudanshi time] i am SUCH a sucker for what he had with gojo, like i grew fond of gojo because of geto and i cannot believe it but of course i did because those two were made for each other and the story revolves around what happened between them and their parallel stories are the backbone of jjk's thematic exploration and oh my god gege sensei why would you curse me with these homosexuals
