Summer Vacation Hiatus

( From June 22nd - Late July )

( Ah, summer. A season filled with unbearable heat, grabbing your surfboards and heading towards the ocean, collecting seashells, stuffing your suitcases into your vehicle and preparing to hit the road, and let’s not forget the opportunity for getting tourist items and souvenirs! Why am I talking about summer you may ask? Well…

I am heading out for summer vacation! Now, those who have been on my blog long enough (or know me long enough) know that it’s a nearly annual thing that I head up the states during this time (especially, unfortunately, on my birthday too rip) and it turns out this year it’s time to head up north again.

I’m not going to be doing much in comparison to other years considering my family doesn’t have a lot of money, but hopefully, it’s going to be filled with fun since I’m going to be there for five weeks! I wouldn’t exactly say it’s a month but it’s just basically that: Roughly five weeks.

The majority of this vacation is that I am not going to be active. At all. There will be some days where I will have inter.net access due to traveling (like hotels or something), but once I’m in Maine? I’m going to be completely off the grid and won’t know what’s going on in the Inter.net world until I, once again, gain web access back (hopefully everything goes fine while I’m away ‘cuz I don’t wanna deal with stress asdf).

Important Announcement

( So, my activity will be ranging up and down and all around because this month is going to be the start of my vacation (or, more specifically: The end of this month), and I’m going to have to go out every now and then to gather the stuff I need for this trip.

I will still be here, doing my best with threads or memes if I feel inspired to and interacting with all of you, but most of my attention is going to be derived towards the trip (I still haven’t filled my suitcase yet shhh).

And here’s the biggest kicker of them all: I’m actually going to leave on the 22nd of this month; a Saturday if you will and will be away for about two and a half weeks. I’m probs going to be active the night before then, as I got to stay up late once we head out, as we usually do it for the trip. This vacation is going to be like the others: Where I vanish from the Inter.net for a long time.

So, until then, keep in mind that this is what’s gonna happen! I ain’t leaving yet but it’s coming close!

EDIT: It’s actually gonna last roughly about five weeks instead of two and a half. I’ll place that in my vacation post before I head up next week!~ )

( One of my favorite things about having crossovers and even having AUs of characters interacting with one another is that sometimes you can have these characters from not only different universes but sometimes either the timelines can be different or how advanced their technology could be.

Like, for instance, I got a random thought about this: Like your muse could be from a futuristic city with flying cars, conveyor belt sidewalks, or even having the access of traversing from planet to planet much easier, imagine Sonic introducing this muse to just... what’s considered really outdated stuff to them.

Like Sonic bringing out a cassette player (he likes the 90s leaf him alone) and just popping a CD in it and probably have the blue sky song of the guard.ians of the gal.axy second movie on and this hedgehog is just bopping his head to the music. Or even him just dragging your muse to arcade machines that are still around and the first thing he tells you is “you got to put the coin in the slot to play!”

Or even imagining the roles being switched or something. Like idk I just find that stuff to be entertaining asdf. )

( I dunno, but the idea of an evil/villain Sonic has intrigued me for quite some time, after seeing so many iterations of it - myself making one included, I cannot help but love to delve into the idea of this normally big-hearted hero just doing things that would be considered to be “too far” or things such as that.

I mean, imagine someone such as him not giving a single care in the world as to what people think he does. Imagine him not caring if the thing he does isn’t particularly right. Imagine him being so loyal to the people he’s working for that he doesn’t care what kind of threat stands in his way. Imagine that loyalty morphing into something corrupted, and whatever is said to him, whether it is for him to stop or not, he doesn’t listen, because he is that dedicated.

And we can take it a step further with his interests too. His love and care for animals and the nature surrounding him makes him all the more apathetic towards technology advancing. Which, in that retrospective, would be very interesting if he were to meet Robotnik/Eggman in that universe. And, as we already know in canon, he doesn’t approve of what Eggman’s doing at all.

Though that does give me a thought... of him going after Eggman because of that, and strangely enough being considered a hero after defeating him too. Would he still be apathetic about it? Would he find it in his heart that maybe, just maybe, people aren’t so bad? That they too care for the same thing he cares about but in a different way? And would that make him change?

( So, I held my tongue about the movie and I waited until today to get a proper opinion. So, since the trailer is out and now that I have seen it... I, well...

My opinion hasn’t changed.

I dunno about you guys, but I don’t mind it lol. I’m actually entertained by it. I know Sonic’s design is a little jarring, but I’ve gotten used to it. I like Carrey as Robotnik, though. I didn’t expect myself to, but I ended up liking it lol. )
