Listening to the Stardew Valley soundtrack to try to avoid an anxiety attack, and now I can’t stop thinking about Elliott reading me the latest draft of his new novel while I’m curled up in a duvet-burrito in his bed. He’s nursing a cup of coffee and leaning back at his desk chair, pausing to scribble and edit the prose every now and then. The rose on his desk is healthy and vibrant (I’ve taken to feeding and watering it regularly, since he often forgets), and we can hear the waves rolling against the shore outside his cabin. Hmm I’m in love.
