🎼 Announcing the 1st ever Redacted Fandom Virtual Choir!!! 🎤

✅ Are you obsessed with Redacted? ✅ Can you sing (even a little bit)? ✅ Do you have a microphone? Hooray! 🥳 Those are all of the qualifications!

I will post more resources soon, but I just finished the harmonies on

the Dahlia Academy for Magical Novices Alma Mater

If you've never done a virtual choir before, it basically works like this: 1. You learn your part and practice, practice, practice. (I'll post plenty of resources so you can sing along with different versions of the track.)

2. You record yourself singing your part. (You'll listen to a guide track through headphones at the same time so all the parts line up in the end.) 3. You send in your recording! And that's it, on your end.

But Frenchie, what if I'm not a perfect singer?

🗞️🗞️🗞️🗞️🗞️ No! Stop it! Stop it right now! a) Your voice is yours and if you want to participate, then don't let self-consciousness stop you! b) You're going to be mixed in with a whole choir.

(Don't make me go all evil sea witch on you bitches /affectionate. I will show up at your doorstep with a haunted-ass seashell and come to collect. 😠 /j)

But Frenchie, what if I don't have professional recording equipment?

Even if all you have is a phone, you should be good to go. The most important thing is that you can get a quiet space to record. Do some experimenting in the meantime.

Stay tuned to *this post* for updates. I'll post a whole process and probably a sign-up sheet and stuff soon. But I wanted to share the announcement and the sheet music. (At the very latest, I want this ready in time for the channelversary, but I'm actually hoping to be done long before then. I'll probably provide at least a month window for people to learn along with the guide tracks and send in recordings, and depending on the level of participation, it may take me a while to produce the final version.)

Ciao! 😊 Grazie per le domande, senza saperlo hai toccato due dimensioni a me molto care. ✨

64. Musica in streaming, Spotify, CD o vinile? 🎶

🎼 Direi proprio tutte e quattro le possibilità (anzi, tre, siccome Spotify rientra nello streaming). La musica è parte di me fin da quando ne ho memoria, pare che sia nata anche con l'orecchio assoluto. L'ho suonata, cantata, e ovviamente ascoltata. Credo che non sia mai esistito un giorno della mia vita in cui non abbia sentito almeno un brano, perché il silenzio totale mi disturba, mi sconcentra, mi innervosisce; ho bisogno di musica per studiare, guidare, lavarmi, cucinare, fare le faccende domestiche, passeggiare in solitaria, leggere, qualche rara volta anche per dormire. Ovviamente il genere cambia in base all'attività da svolgere.

💻 La modalità più utilizzata, quindi, è senza dubbio quella streaming, per una semplice questione di comodità. Tuttavia, essendo una millennial, sono cresciuta con i CD, gli mp3 e i vinili, e il primo amore si sa, non si scorda mai.

💽 Possiedo ancora uno stereo con lettore CD e alcuni dischi che i miei genitori mi facevano ascoltare da bambina, come Pino Daniele, Domenico Modugno e Tchaikovsky, ma anche i classici del jazz che ricevetti in regalo da fanciulla.

📀 Per quanto riguarda i vinili, invece, ho in casa il giradischi di mio nonno, risalente agli anni '60, a valigetta e con la puntina un po' rovinata. Ho anche i suoi dischi, come quello delle colonne sonore dei film più famosi, ma non ho rinunciato negli anni a procurarmi dei vinili miei: uno nuovo, di Edith Piaf, ricevuto in regalo, altri dell'epoca, comprati ai mercatini, come quelli di Sting, ai quali sono molto affezionata.

🎵 Ciononostante, sia i CD che i vinili li ascolto raramente. I primi quando voglio rivivere alcuni momenti della mia infanzia, i secondi, invece, li preservo per occasioni speciali e intime. Non solo perché temo per la puntina fragile del mio giradischi, ma anche perché trovo l'ascolto dei vinili un momento magico, sprecato da gustare in solitaria ma al contempo da condividere solo con chi è disposto ad entrare con te in quel mondo di suoni graffiati che trasudano di storia e mille vite, che nella loro imperfezione ti fanno sentire al sicuro e ti fanno viaggiare oltre il tempo e lo spazio, lasciandoti in una curiosa estasi, fatta di brividi e totale alienazione dal mondo.

72. Cosa non può mancare in casa tua? 🏡

Amo molto il mondo delle case e dell'interior design fin da bambina, perciò mi ritrovo spesso a fantasticare sulla mia casa ideale, intervallando tra sogni irrealizzabili e ipotesi più concrete e fattibili.

🛋️ L'unico spazio che si può creare in qualsiasi tipo di dimora e che non può assolutamente mancare in nessuna casa che abiterò è la libreria.

📚 Per me i libri non sono solo oggetti, ma anche ricordi personali. Di ciascuna opera cartacea sui miei scaffali ho memoria delle persone, dei luoghi, delle situazioni e delle emozioni coinvolti nell'ottenerla e leggerla. Per tale ragione, se non ho problemi ad entrare in negozio per regalare libri ai miei cari, non riesco a donare né a prestare quelli già miei, perché è come se mi venisse tolta una parte di me, anche se momentaneamente. Allo stesso modo, quelle rare volte in cui li ricevo in prestito, desidero ardentemente acquistarli in separata sede dopo averli restituiti, per sigillare materialmente quel pezzo di vita sugli scaffali tangibili della mia memoria. In sostanza, la mia libreria è un frammento della mia anima e dove vado io, c'è indissolubilmente anche lei, finché morte non ci separi.

🤓 Per concludere vorrei aggiungere, stavolta senza dilungarmi, altri due spazi per me molto importanti, immancabili se avessi risorse economiche sostanziose:

🌿 Un giardino o come minimo un affaccio su un ampio spazio verde, perché senza il contatto con la natura non ci so stare;

🌊 La vista mare o almeno la possibilità di raggiungerlo velocemente, perché su di me ha un potere curativo incredibile.
