Writer Nonnie and no lie when I first read "Grey Paladin of Time" I thought "HE CAN STOP TIME FUCK YEAH!" and then "IS THAT A JOJO REFERENCE". Ah great, Jiro would definitely be all up on that.

...I have honestly never watched Jojo (the crunchyroll adds of randomly holding eyeballs was a *bit* too body horror for me. Says the girl who was fine with the gore in Castlevania. Whatever.)

But yep! He has TimePowers, baby!

-step one: get your brain nommed on by a literal space witch, the Black Lion, and White Lion ‘cause space witch

-step two: finally rage quit the second DnD Session because Coran’s attempt to make you “branch out” by repeatedly killing off your (food themed) Twins and Eventually Clones (hAH!) Paladins is quite honestly closer to getting hazed and that ain’t relaxing at all.

-step three: have nightmares triggered as your subconcious knocked a bit too much loose during said sessions. Run blindly to the Black Lion for help and answers

-step four: meet Shiro on the Astral Plane, get that arm hacked off before it gets everyone killed, and write a “last will&testiment” explaining things as Worst Case insurance.

-step five: get Shiro out (even if it takes merging—Jiro gets scolded pretty good by literally everyone for that stunt. Well intentioned or not, yeah he deserves that (and could’ve resulted in BOTH him and Shiro dying. They’re also keeping a closer eye on him since...yeah. He ain’t coping well whatsoever.)

-step six: ...ya broke the 4th Wall doing all that and now time’s stitching itself back together. That means getting plagued by Visions of This Reality’s timestream in all its eddies and currents. OOPS. (Also...seeing the TimeCurrent he *just* avoided that resulted in his death. OUCH.)

-step seven: reconciliation and bonding with Shiro and the BlackLion while trying Yet Again to carve out your own niche that doesn’t steal Shiro’s Stuff. (And Shiro thwapping the backside of Jiro’s skull ‘cause Sharing Is What Siblings Do.) And eventually meeting the Grey Lion when Black says Enough Is Enough

-step eight: Sincline becomes Lions. Including the Grey Lion.

(Lotor’s coverup’s been discovered along with the Gate Project terminated when Shiro demanded they put it on hiatus to triple check. Becuase Jiro’s initial support at least part way stemmed from getting gnawed on by a Space Witch without realizing it...and even with that influence finally gone, he doesn’t trust his own judgement about Lotor anymore. They also find the failed colony—and the awful truth that the coverup was repeated failed attempts to fix a power crisis, but Lotor didn’t know what he was dealing with...and turned to the Quintessence Gate to solve the Colony Crisis and Galra Addiction both. Bad judgement breeding even worse judgement, basically. )

-step nine: Accidental Time-Bending Magic. Like, moving “faster” or everything accidentally “stopped”, random hair growth or the potato you’re frying suddenly turning into a burning sprout in your pan. Then a bit more control. Then the visions fading a *bit* more into a DejaVu and “spacing out”

-step ten: repeated Visions of the space witch ripping apart realities with a teledov, everyone’s deaths, or Allura’s death. Then finally packing up with your Lion to alter the TimeStream—intentionally this time—to set several things right and prevent Haggar from ever having access to Orionde. (And hopefully convincing Lotor to take another path, and saving Shiro earlier than “last time” if he has anything to say about it.)

-step eleven: rejoin the Timestream...and wake up on a Galra Ship all over again. (Aaaand, welp. Several things changed beyond the intentional. Including Ryou now kicking around, and Ryou being the one to get Shiro out this time.)

...now...to actually rewrite my prolly two years old draft of BlackBox. (Trying to figureout DnD Mechanics and ‘that don’t make sense’ admittedly had me set it aside and think some more. I still don’t understand when to use the Dice. Ack.) Vs...growing impatient and writing snippets for various Shiro Events (gentron, Shirotember. Unfinished BirthdayWeek prompts sitting in a doc.)
