This is how I am going about running the blog and I will put it very succinctly:

mutuals = I want to write with you and I can see us creating cool storylines and plots for proper threads. Welcome to respond to opens. Will likely interact with more frequently.

non-mutual (after a two week period of me not following back) = welcome to send asks or have one-off, light, comic, dash commentary, back-and-forth interactions; like posts; comment on posts; can ask for my d/iscord just to chat

soft-blocked/hardblocked = thanks but no thanks, will not interact for whatever my prerogative is so please respect that and leave me be

So please check if we are actually mutuals!!!

A "trend" I hope will be more commonplace in the RPC for this year... and that is honesty! ( and perhaps being normal about friendships??? )

We know that communication sucks here and we won't always have the spoons to be able to reach out to people. However, we collectively do need to get better at it and most importantly be honest with ourselves on how we feel and what we want out of this hobby! This is where I'm gonna broach into a pretty taboo topic that a lot of people are scared to say but... sometimes... ooc chemistry may not be enough for ic chemistry and writing in general! Maybe you might have hit it off ooc with someone and thought their muses were cool but when it comes to ic interaction, it just flatlines and it feels like you're pulling teeth with your muse to answer replies. Or, maybe your writing and rp styles aren't compatible. And that should actually be an okay thing to admit! See, there's either a choice to continually work on it, or call it a day without any hard feelings. Being mutuals shouldn't be the end all of friendships, I'm still good buddies with people I'm no longer mutuals / rping with!

It should be okay to be selective about writing partners, getting rejected isn't the end of the world, and most importantly, being upfront and honest with someone is actually the most respectful thing you can do! The whole, "You don't owe anyone anything!" is actually a poisonous mindset given that I've seen people who've been devastated by having friendships end via ghosting and just cutting them off cold turkey without explanation... nothing... and that's so shitty. If you really liked and respect someone enough to be a friend, you would probably speak with them about something that might be wrong and offer a chance for them to correct any sort of wrongdoing!

I dunno guys, maybe I'm getting too old for this kind of pussyfoot non-communicative bullshit, but I would like to see this kind of change. And I do intend on being the change I wanna see here.

After having gone through a culling process with my followers (which are filled up with a lot of inactive people), I'm thinking that when it comes to rping with me... I'm honestly gonna have people I will approach more often for plots especially if I'm jamming well with a certain writing style and if somebody gives me a lot to work with a thread. With those I'm admittedly on the fence about, they might be better off as simple ask interactions because our style of roleplay is just not working. However, with people I like but have no writing chemistry with, I still like Roxy's interactions with their muse but I don't see stories or plots being built with those muses.

This is me being entirely transparent and frank about how I go about doing things here. I know this might leave people on the edge but... this is a hobby, don't build your sense of self-worth playing digital dolls with strangers on the 'net! I'm just curating my space and making it enjoyable here! If anybody feels inclined to approach me on where we stand, just know that you will be met with respect and honesty in my answer. I won't be upset if people decide to leave or be turned off by how I do roleplaying here, because that just makes it easy for me to see who I can vibe with, no hard feelings!

After a whole rollercoaster of experiencing a lot of highs and lows last year and into this year, I think I managed to figure out how to best curate my space here. I made lots of friends, and lost a lot at the same time. I find that it's like a coin toss here because I'm happy that I am able to vibe with people I feel at home with and who inspire me. But the RPC is getting notoriously non-communicative and smaller, but perhaps staying small is the best, meaning I will keep a close few that I actually have a blast writing with. I genuinely love this hobby and writing this muse, so I'm far from getting into the mindset of quitting.

I might catch you guys on the other side with the new blog, for those who might not, again it's not personal. If you do find me (and it's not like I'm gonna make myself hard to find), you're still welcome to hang out and follow if you still enjoy having me around.

Roxy and I are continuing to move to greater creative heights, but this time I'm gonna do it right by generating my own good vibes. Keep your eyes out for me, I'm gonna be quiet for a while and take the time to re-establish myself before following people back!

Hi all, I have been working on drafts but writing is going over real slow as we know... I've been lacking inspiration for a long while and I think I might need to take a proper hiatus to re-energize the creativity I need... like maybe read more books, consume cool and interesting media, etc???
