If I had the ability to come up with stories (and not just vague ideas) I'd write an au fic where Valkyrie are west wizards (mahoyaku)

#being a west wizard is about being uncompromisingly dedicated to your own aesthetics and way of life #and also being so obsessively in love with something that you go insane and/or die about it #and also an understanding (but not necessarily an acceptance) that you are fundamentally alone #...and also they all seem to be extroverts. which isnt applicable to shu and mika. but everything else- #general wizard lore (irrelevant of location) is that they can live for hundreds - even thousands of years #and promises are made with the heart which is also what wizards use for magic. so you lose your magic if you break a promise #so... again i dont have like a solid story idea for valkyrie wizards but the doll thing may have been a promise... #need to handle it without losing magic. bit more complicated but hey at least they have hundreds of years to figure it out! #ultimately you dont lose your magic as long as you dont feel youve betrayed your heart so there WOULD be a good solution. probably..
