1974 AMC Matador Station Wagon
Long roofs give me a boner, though this coffin nosed Matador not so much. AMC was struggling by this time, even though they would release their most influential vehicle ever some time after this, another long roof, the Jeep Cherokee (XJ) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_Cherokee_(XJ) nine years later.

Lamborghini Countach Lpi 800-4 2022 Pictures, Data & Specs
The further weight was compensated by utilizing carbon-fiber bumpers and skirts. By the best way, the Anniversary edition was designed by Horacio Pagani earlier than he established his personal sports activities automotive company. The 2021 Lamborghini Countach is a hybrid supercar that places out 814 horsepower and goes on to a prime velocity of 355 kph, forming a fitting tribute to an iconic model name that celebrates its fiftieth birthday this year, Pirelli said. The new automobile comes with Pirelli’s P Zero tires in 255/30R20 dimension on the new lamborghini countach entrance and 355/25R21 on the again, developed to boost car performance as well as safety, management and dealing with, Pirelli mentioned. The tire structure and compound have been optimized to succeed in the absolute best grip in all driving conditions, plus excessive ranges of traction and braking in wet and dry conditions. The V-12 engine makes 770 horsepower by itself, whereas whole system output with the electrical motor is 803 hp.
Check our detailed Ferrari price record to see precisely how much every mannequin cost. But, if you’re one of many select few with tons of money to spend on a Lamborghini, why not get an original Countach? Or one of many other V12-powered automobiles that truly helped Lamborghini turn out to be a trailblazer? It could be a good idea to look into these as a end result of all 112 models of the new Countach are probably accounted for. Outside, blending new tech with traditional style, the Countach LPI has 20-inch front and 21-inch rear "telephone fashion" wheels, wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. With such a propensity for pace, it has carbon-ceramic brakes to deliver sanity to all this madness.
The Lamborghini Countach 2022, in easy words, is the translation of excellence from front to back. The general shape, although it's model new, Countach somehow still mimics the unique Countach. The carbon-ceramic brakes are so highly effective that they can sluggish the car from sixty two miles per hour of speed to 0 in nearly 98 feet. If you keep the dry weight of the car in thoughts, which is 3,516 kilos, this performance may be very spectacular.
The Miura, Countach, Diablo, Murcielago, and Aventador all played their very own roles in serving to the world of supercars attain new heights. Out of all of Lamborghini’s V12-powered supercars, the Countach performs the most important position. It’s the one which new lamborghini countach solidified the Italian automaker as being the craziest of the crazy with its out-of-this-world design. At a time when nostalgia is in with the Ford Bronco, Jeep Wagoneer, GMC Hummer EV, and Toyota GR Supra, Lamborghini sees a gap to convey back the Countach.
The wedge-shaped mid-engine coupe created the template for the trendy supercar and launched the world to scissor doors when it debuted a the LP500 idea on the Geneva Motor Show in 1971 and was produced from 1974 to 1990. Unveiled throughout 2021 Monterey Car Week, the Countach LPI was built to have fun the fiftieth anniversary of the Countach’s debut. Its styling is a modern interpretation of the long-lasting wedge-shaped unique Countach, but the LPI is predicated on the outgoing Lamborghini Aventador, and features a hybrid powertrain producing 803 hp. The new Countach is being recalled due to rear glass panels which will detach from the automotive, based on the NHTSA. Lamborghini blames a provider error, saying in a recall report that the supplier didn’t accurately bond the glass panels to the engine covers of affected automobiles. The new Lamborghini Countach comes with plenty of components inspired by the enduring mannequin, including the sharp strains, creases and the 'wedge-shaped' styling.
Unveiled in the course of the prestigious main occasion at Monterey’s Car Week at Pebble Beach this week, the supercar returns to honor the fiftieth anniversary of the unique launch. The LPI seems like the quintessential one-off showpiece, however Lamborghini truly plans to construct a limited run of 112 examples, with deliveries to begin in early 2022. Its announcement does new lamborghini countach not include pricing data, however Bloomberg reports that the automobile's combination of heritage styling and Sián hybridization will command a value of $2.sixty four million. We imagine getting on the unique reservations listing will also require some pretty tight Lamborghini connections or up-to-date worldwide superstar standing.

1956 Nash Ambassador Super
1956 Nash Ambassador Super Join us as we visit with Jim about his rare 1956 Nash Ambassador Super The Nash Ambassador is a luxury automobile that was produced by Nash Motors from 1927 until 1957. For the first five years it was a top trim level, then from 1932 on a standalone model. Ambassadors were lavishly equipped and beautifully constructed, earning them the nickname “the Kenosha Duesenberg”. But for a period between 1929-1934 when Nash produced a line of seven-passenger saloons and limousines, the Ambassador series was the maker’s "flagship", and remained so following the Nash-Hudson merger in 1954. From 1958 until 1965, the cars were named Rambler Ambassador and then from the 1966 through 1974 model years as the AMC Ambassador. The continued use the Ambassador model name made it "one of the longest-lived automobile nameplates in automotive history.” Ambassador models fielded for 1956 were heavily re-styled in the rear with big "lollipop" taillights and the cars were offered in a variety of two-and three-tone color schemes. The Ambassador line up was reduced to Super sedans with I6 engines as well as V8 powered Super and Custom sedans and the hardtop Custom Country Club. The Packard V8 was available through April 1956 after which AMC installed its own 250 cu in (4.1 L) V8 engine producing 190 bhp (142 kW; 193 PS) and the cars were now called "Ambassador Special”. ✅ Subscribe to Our Channel for More Cars, Tips & Resources: https://www.youtube.com/c/TwoGuysandaRide/ ✅ Stay Connected 👉 Twitter: https://twitter.com/GuysRide 👉 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/twoguysandaride/ 👉 TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@twoguysandaride ============================ ✅ SEE all of our HOW TO videos here: CarTechHowTo.com - http://bit.ly/2ZvDrbE ✅ Our Playlists: https://www.youtube.com/c/TwoGuysandaRide/playlists ✅ Other Videos You Might Be Interested In Watching: 🚘 2022 Jeep Wagoneer Series III - CarTech How To https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hO5Q1upM2CY 🚘 2022 Chevy Silverado - CarTech Infotainment How To https://youtu.be/1_dAL6DjJ_I 🚘 KIA Sportage 2023 - Bigger and So Much Better! https://youtu.be/lD9SdCbPVaQ 🚘 2022 Toyota Tundra - CarTech Infotainment How To https://youtu.be/NHuOxASISbc ============================= ✅ About Two Guys and a Ride: Two Guys and a Ride’s channel is dedicated to all things automotive. 50 of the Coolest and Probably the Best Trucks and SUVs Ever Made
Among the greats, these are the best SUVs and Trucks we could findModern day pickup trucks and SUV’s aren’t as sturdy and rough looking as those from a few decades ago. Well, pickups are still rather tough depending on build and manufacturer, but true body on frame SUVs are slowly but steadily becoming extinct. They are being replaced in favor of city-friendly unibody crossovers which simply don’t possess off-roading and towing capabilities of their predecessors. Not to mention the looks. This made us thinking. What were the coolest and best trucks and best SUVs ever made. There were so many great rides throughout the years and we have come up with no less than 50 of the best.
Tumblr media
Chevrolet Suburban
Years: 1935-present
Let us start with the SUVs’ forefather, the Chevrolet Suburban. What’s now extended-length, pickup-derived SUV started out as three-row half-ton Carryall Suburban back in distant 1935. It’s been one of GM’s most successful vehicles of all time which is clearly evident by its eight decade long production stint giving it an easy place as one of the best SUVs.
Tumblr media
Jeep Wagoneer
Years: 1963-1991
Another classic pioneer of the modern SUV market, Jeep Wagoneer saw very few changes during its healthy three decade long production run. Available with in-line sixes and V8s across numerous global markets, Wagoneer was usually offered with all-wheel drive. And those wood grain exterior panels became a trademark feature among similar vehicles of that time.
Tumblr media
International Harvester Travelall
Years: 1953-1975
There was a time when International Harvester competed head to head with other major American pickup truck and SUV manufacturers. Travelall had four successful generations with latter two being the real deal. They were 5-door versions with either rear or all-wheel drive layouts, and they are a sorely missed suv today.
Tumblr media
International Harvester Scout
Years: 1961-1980
If Travelall was successful, then the Scout was arguably IH’s best suv ever. It started off as soon as Travelall switched to third generation in order to fill the now empty 2-door SUV spot in the lineup. International Scout, and especially Scout II (1971-1980) still have a cult following long after their discontinuation. That testifies about their longevity and quality more than anything else.
Tumblr media
Jeep Cherokee XJ
Years: 1984-2001
The Jeep Cherokee debuted in 1974 with the SJ variant, but it wasn’t until 1984 it became refined enough to set the standards for modern-day crossovers. Compact SUV was downsized and finally used the unibody structure. That’s pretty much the recipe for today’s crossovers which are slowly taking over the domestic car market.

JEEP CHEROKEE 2020: 10 THINGS TO KNOW
Tumblr media
Slightly redesigned in 2019, the Cherokee remains a popular Jeep. If we notice especially the Wrangler on our roads, without roof, without doors and sometimes even without shoes in the driver’s feet, the Cherokee is fighting hard not to fall off the podium. Add to that a pedigree that isn’t worm-eaten and you have a recipe for success that even 10 things to know don’t fully explain. But you can always try…
1 Once upon a time
When the United States entered World War II, it decreed that it would need a compact all-terrain vehicle. Two companies raise their hands: American Bantam and Willys-Overland.
The army considered the BRC (Bantam Reconnaissance Car) prototype interesting but it did not have enough torque and the military doubted that the company would be able to provide the required quantity. They then passed on the Bantam design to Willys and Ford, asking them to do better. Their prototypes: the Ford GP and the Willys MA. When a Willys engineer finally slipped a powerful “Go Devil” under the hood, the Willys Model MB won the day.
In production, the army put Willys and Ford to work, while Bantam, after a few units, moved on. The result was the Model MB and the Ford GPW (for Government, P stands for the 80″ wheelbase, and W is a salute to Willys’ design).
2 We are still looking for
Where does the word Jeep come from? As the manufacturer himself avoids clarifying the question, no doubt to thicken the mystery, the suppositions rain down. For some, the name refers to Eugene the Jeep, a comic book animal linked to Popeye and Olive Oyl. He was magical, able to “move anywhere and do anything”, just the pretensions of a Jeep. In short, teleportation before its time!
For others, the name derives from the Ford GPW, although the meaning “General Purpose” of GP is disputed.
A third theory: Jeep would be the acronym for “Just Enough Essential Parts”, the vehicle being the assembly of “just enough essential parts”. Make your choice!
3 What kind ?
By the way, should we say a Jeep or a Jeep? On its website www.jeep.ca, Chrysler describes the Jeep Cherokee, no doubt because it goes straight ahead, goes through everything, is not afraid of anything; in short, it’s manly! Just as we don’t say the RAM, which is a van… Moreover, as the word “jeep” has become generic over time, like “fridge” and “kodak”, we often write the jeep in reference to any all-purpose vehicle. And without capital letters as long as the brand is not mentioned. Come to think of it, in parallel with the current news that puts the spotlight on non-gender individuals, the Jeep is perhaps the unisex vehicle of choice…
4 To me! No, to me!
As early as 1943, Willys applied for copyright of the Jeep name but the courts ruled that the original design belonged to Bantam. Never mind, Willys marketed the CJ-2A in 1945, the first “Civilian Jeep” intended for the general public. And then, since Willys was the only post-war company interested in assembling jeeps, it was finally granted the trademark in 1950.
5 The waltz of the owners
The CJ gives the starting signal for an avalanche of by-products: the Jeep Station Wagon (1946), the Jeep Truck (1947), the ancestor of the Gladiator, the Jeepster (1948). In 1953, Kaiser Motors bought Willys, which became Kaiser-Jeep in 1963. American Motors Corporation (AMC) acquired Kaiser’s Jeep division in 1970. Renault begins to invest in AMC in 1979 before Chrysler Corporation buys AMC in 1987, essentially to get its hands on Jeep (Chrysler will drop all other AMC activities).
6 Follow the guide!
At www.jeep.ca to shop for your Cherokee 2020, you will find nine models. Actually, there are six and three packages (North Altitude, Trailhawk Elite and High Altitude). The six versions are Sport, North, Trailhawk, Limited and Overland. Uh, Mr. Columnist, that makes five… The North splits up, as it can be had in 4×4 and 4×2, the only model in the family to be satisfied with front-wheel drive if that’s what you want.
All other versions come standard with all-wheel drive, but it’s not even that simple yet. There are, in fact, three kinds of 4x4s for the Cherokee…
For Sport 4×4, there’s no choice, it inherits the Active Drive I system. The North, Limited and Overland variants come standard with Active Drive I but can be upgraded to the optional Active Drive II. Finally, the Trailhawk comes with Active Drive Lock, a system exclusive to the Trailhawk.
7 Him or him?
Let me guess your next question: what are the differences between these three 4x4s? The Active Drive I is not a constant drive, like Subaru for example. Rather, it allows the rear axle to be uncoupled if electronic sensors judge that road conditions do not require all-wheel drive. You then drive in 4×2 mode to save fuel. The system reverts back to 4×4 whenever necessary, without driver intervention.
Active Drive II adds low speed all-wheel drive, which locks the driveshafts on demand to ensure you’re all-wheel drive. It’s great for getting out of a rut or for towing. Plus, Cherokee’s ground clearance with Active Drive II increases by 1″ (2.5 cm).
Finally, the Active Drive Lock system uses the capabilities of the Drive II and allows the rear differential to lock, which sends equal torque to each of its wheels. For serious off-road enthusiasts.
8 Trio of mills
In addition to the two well-known engines, the 271-hp 3.2L V6, a washed-down version of the 3.6L Pentastar, and the 184-hp 2.4L Tigershark 4-cylinder, FCA recently added a 2.0L, 270-hp, turbocharged 4-cylinder that’s more expensive than the V6 and similar to the one that rumbles under the bonnets of the Wrangler and Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio.
This trio of machines is backed by a 9-speed automatic transmission in place since 2014, which was groundbreaking, but has since come in for criticism because of its frequent hesitations.
Finally, although the base 2.4L can only tow 2000 lbs, the V6 manages with 4500 lbs (2041 kg), 500 lbs more than the turbo.
9 A forerunner
The Cherokee’s career began in 1974 as a 2-door version of the Jeep Wagoneer (1962 to 1991), while ousting the disappointing Jeepster Commando. The 4-door version of the Cherokee was born in 1977. To appeal to a younger customer base than the venerable Wagoneer, marketing gurus coined an expression to define the newcomer: Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV). These three words have never left our automotive lexicon!
10 A long C.V.
To underline its 2nd generation (1984), the Cherokee abandons ladder construction in favour of a monocoque body, another first. The public loved this idea, which gave the comfort of a car to a “truck”. Rivals take notes.
The Cherokee’s popularity is such that when the time comes for the 3rd generation (2002 vintage), Chrysler launches the Grand Cherokee while its famous little brother becomes the Liberty in North America (but keeps the Cherokee name elsewhere in the world). Then begins its period of compact SUVs, until the Compass/Patriot duo makes it into the even smaller one in 2007.
A year later, the fourth generation was greeted, still under the Liberty name, while Dodge entered the fray with a twin brother named Nitro.
With the 5th generation (2014) begins the crossover period: the Liberty name is retired, the Cherokee name is revived and the vehicle is slightly enlarged to justify the arrival of the Jeep Renegade.
11 Signature visuelle (boni !)
The famous seven-bar vertical grille that makes a Jeep’s front grille as recognizable as a Rolls-Royce’s was originally new, based on Ford’s original design for its GPW. To better cook a hamburger says the legend…

AKA Grand Wagoneer: All the Other Names For Jeep’s Grandest SUV
Every gearhead knows the Jeep Grand Wagoneer on sight—after all, its iconic 1960s-era styling barely changed during its 30-year production run, this despite Jeep having three different corporate owners (Kaiser, American Motors, and Chrysler) during its tenure.
Except it’s likely that the Grand Wagoneer you’re looking at isn’t actually a Grand Wagoneer, as that name was used for less than a third of the SJ-body’s epic production run. Now that we’ve seen reveal of the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer concept, here are the other monikers that graced this big, beautiful SUV across its history.
Jeep Wagoneer, 1963-1983
The Grand Wagoneer nameplate didn’t appear until 1984, well more than 20 years after the SJ went into production. Originally, the full-size Jeep was marketed simply as the Wagoneer.
The Wagoneer made its debut in 1962 as a 1963 model, and it was intended as a modern replacement for the Jeep Wagon introduced by Willys-Overland shortly after the end of World War II. Like the Willys wagon, the Wagoneer was originally designed as a utilitarian, go-anywhere family hauler. Jeep started experimenting with more upscale Wagoneers in the mid-’60s (see Super Wagoneer below), though the buying public didn’t really embrace the high-end Wagoneer until the late 1970s. AMC introduced the wood-grain-sided Wagoneer Limited in 1978, which led directly to the Jeep Grand Wagoneer we’ve come to know and love.
Why did the Wagoneer get a grand new name? Blame Jeep’s new XJ-body Cherokee of 1984, which usurped the Wagoneer name for a more upscale model. Demand for the SJ grew steadily while the XJ was in development, so AMC decided to keep the old full-size model in production for a while longer. The posh Limited model became the Grand Wagoneer, while the lower-trim SJ became the Wagoneer Custom, which sold poorly and only lasted a year. The SJ would retain the Grand Wagoneer name through the end of production in 1991.
Jeep Super Wagoneer, 1966-1969
Jeep’s first historical attempt at an upscale Wagoneer was the Super Wagoneer, shown in concept form in 1965, and as a production model for 1966. The Super had a 270-horsepower, AMC-designed 327-cubic-inch (5.4-liter) V-8 with a four-barrel carburetor backed by a General Motors TH400 automatic with a console shifter. (The engine would be swapped for a Buick-sourced engine in 1968.) The standard equipment list was rather posh for the time: Power steering and brakes, air conditioning, a power tailgate, tilt steering wheel, mag wheels, and gold anodized basket-weave trim. It was priced at $5,943.
Unfortunately, the public wasn’t quite ready for a Jeep with a price tag higher than a contemporary Cadillac Sedan de Ville. The Super Wagoneer became a trim level rather than a separate model for 1969, and by 1970 it was gone. Over its four-year run, Jeep sold fewer than 4,000, making it one of the most rare and valuable SJ variants today.
Jeep Cherokee, 1974-1983
The original 1963 Wagoneer was introduced in both two- and four-door body styles, but the two-door only lasted until 1968. The two-door returned in 1974 as the Cherokee, but with a twist: While the original two-door Wagoneer had the same windowline as the four-door, the Cherokee had a single side-window aft of the front doors, giving it a sportier look.
AMC introduced a four-door Cherokee in 1977, and it became the entry-level full-size Jeep, with six-cylinder power instead of the Wagoneer’s standard V-8. The Cherokee and Wagoneer comprised Jeep’s family-car lineup until the new XJ-body Cherokee (and Wagoneer) made its debut in 1984.
Jeep Gladiator/ Pickup, 1963-1988
The SJ also spawned a pickup truck, which was the original Jeep Gladiator. Introduced alongside the 1963 Wagoneer, the Gladiator could be had with rear- or four-wheel-drive. Early half-ton 4WD models had an independent front suspension, a novelty at the time. Along with pickup beds, Jeep originally offered a factory-fitted platform stake bed with optional dual rear wheels. Unlike the wagons, the Gladiator kept its original 1963 front-end styling until the 1970 model year.
The Gladiator name was dropped in 1971, and the truck became known simply as the Jeep Pickup, or the J-series. It is sometimes referred to as the Honcho, though this was actually an option package consisting primarily of tape stripes and available on 1976-1983 half-ton J10s. Chrysler bought Jeep from AMC in 1987, and since it already had a full-size pickup in the lineup, the Jeep pickup got the axe in 1988. Thirty years later, the Gladiator name would make a triumphant return.

Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Lançamento da SUV Wagonner e da pick-up Gladiator.
Tumblr media
1970 A Kaiser é vendida à AMC – American Motors Corporation por US$ 70 milhões.
Tumblr media

window.masterslider_instances = window.masterslider_instances || []; window.masterslider_instances.push( masterslider_ff20 ); });
})(jQuery);
*No Brasil a história do Jeep tomou outro rumo. A subsidiária brasileira da Willys foi vendida para a Ford em 1967. Ela manteve a produção da a linha de automóveis Willys por mais alguns anos. O Jeep CJ5 foi fabricado até 1983.
