Best Treatment For Anal Fistula
There are many anal ailments that plague human beings. The fast-paced lifestyle and diets that lack enough fiber, pave the way for many diseases in the intestines, anus, and rectum. Fistula is one of the relatively severe anal ailments that can happen to a person.
A fistula is an abnormal connection between two body parts. It is seen between internal organs. An anal fistula is not any different. A definition of anal fistula is that it is a tunnel that forms inside the anal canal that connects it to an opening on the outside, mostly on the skin of the perineum. Anal fistulas are a result of an infection.
An anal fistula is a complex disease that makes the life of the patient very hard and uncomfortable which is why Oreol provides you with the best treatment for anal fistulas.  The fistula might collect fecal matter and pus in nearby tissues. It causes pain and swelling around the anus. There are many treatment options in the market for treating it as well
Tumblr media
Symptoms: Anal fistulas exhibit symptoms that interfere with the daily life of the patient. The patient might experience a throbbing pain that might be constant. The pain might get worse when the person sits down. Swelling and pain might be present as well. A person with anal fistulas is likely to experience anal abscesses that keep recurring.  There might be drainage from the external opening of the fistula. Some of the commonly seen symptoms of fistulas are.
Irritated skin around the anus.
Foul-smelling fluid discharge that comes out through the opening.
The presence of blood while defecating.
Bowel incontinence.
Pain felt while defecating.
Difficulty sitting down.
Causes
The most common cause of anal fistulas is the anal glands that get clogged and anal abscesses that are formed as a result. The majority of the cases happen because of infections. The chances of getting fistulas are astronomical in people who already have anal fissures. Using public toilets and having bad personal hygiene might also increase the chances of getting fistulas.
If a person has Crohn’s disease, they are more likely to get anal fistulas.
If the members of a person’s family have fistulas, then that person is more susceptible to anal fistulas.
If a person sits a lot, usually for work.
Not including enough fiber in the diet
Diagnosis
Oreol is an excellent option if you suspect that you might have an anal fistula. Anal fistulas can be easily diagnosed by a doctor. It is found by examining the area around the anus. The doctor will try to locate the opening near the anus. Once the opening is discovered, the medical professional will try to determine the depth of the track and the direction the anal fistula is going. There is fluid coming out of the opening in most cases.
The doctors will also ask questions about the patient’s medical history and lifestyle. Some fistulas close on their own without medical assistance. The doctor might insert a finger inside your anus while performing the physical exam. The doctors might also order tests such as MRI Fistulograms, CT scans, colonoscopies, X-rays, etc. to better assess the condition of the fistula.
How Are Fistulas Treated?
There aren’t any particular medications that can completely cure fistulas. Surgery is required to rectify this condition. Some of the other common treatment options are; Fistulotomy,  which is a medical procedure in which the health care professional will insert a probe to locate the internal opening of the fistula. Then the doctor carefully removes the pus, blood, and fecal matter inside the fistula, and the sides are stitched to the sides of the incision so that the fistula will lay open. However, the chances of recurrence are very high after performing a Fistulotomy. And it might also affect the sphincter muscles and cause incontinence. Fistulotomy also requires a lot of aftercare and there are chances of infections as well.
Another option is an advanced Rectal Flap. In this, the surgeon finds the tract cuts a flap into the rectal wall, and accesses the fistula. Then proceeds to remove its contents and stitches the flap back down. In Ayurveda, a method called “ksharsutra” is performed where they insert a medical thread through the opening and take it out through the anus and then tie it together. This is repeated every week. Oreol laser surgery is one of the best options to treat fistulas as well. It is affordable so that the patient never has to worry about the fistula laser surgery cost. It is done by sedating the patient with spinal anesthesia. The radial fiber of the laser is inserted through the fistula tract and the tract is completely burned off. The lift technique is also used in this to tie the two sides so that the tract will not be joined again. Then the laser is inserted through the outside tract and burned off. This is one of the safest and most convenient treatments for anal fistulas; however, if there are multiple branches of fistula tracts, then laser surgery cannot be performed, and the patient might need to resort to open surgery. An anal fistula is a painful and distressing condition that affects the area around the anus. It occurs when an infected tunnel forms between the inside of the anal canal or rectum and the skin around the anus. Anal fistulas can result from an abscess near the anus that doesn't heal properly. This article delves into the various treatment options available for anal fistulas, with the aim of providing relief and promoting healing. Incision and Drainage (I&D): For acute anal fistulas associated with an abscess, the initial treatment often involves incision and drainage. This procedure is performed under local anesthesia and involves making an incision to drain the infected material and relieve the pressure, which helps reduce pain and discomfort. While this may provide temporary relief, it does not cure the fistula itself. Seton Placement: Seton placement is a common treatment for complex anal fistulas. A seton is a piece of thread or latex that is inserted through the fistula tract to promote drainage and prevent the tunnel from closing prematurely. This helps in keeping the fistula open and allows it to heal from the inside out. Setons are typically left in place for several weeks or months until the fistula is ready for further treatment. Fistulotomy: Fistulotomy is a surgical procedure aimed at permanently curing simple or low anal fistulas. During the procedure, the fistula tract is surgically cut open and laid open to heal from the inside out. The procedure allows for complete drainage and closure of the fistula. Fistulotomy is most effective for fistulas that have a straightforward path and do not involve the sphincter muscles. Fibrin Glue Injection: Fibrin glue injection is a less invasive treatment option for certain anal fistulas. This procedure involves injecting a special medical adhesive into the fistula tract to seal it and promote healing. It is suitable for small, simple fistulas that are not associated with complex branching. LIFT Procedure (Ligation of the Intersphincteric Fistula Tract): The LIFT procedure is a relatively newer technique used to treat complex anal fistulas. It involves identifying and ligating the fistula tract near the anal canal, effectively closing it off. This procedure preserves the anal sphincter muscles, reducing the risk of incontinence, and has shown promising results in treating high and complex fistulas. Advancement Flap Repair: Advancement flap repair is another surgical option for complex anal fistulas, particularly those that pass through the anal sphincter muscles. During the procedure, nearby healthy tissue is used to cover and seal the fistula, promoting healing while minimizing the risk of incontinence. VAAFT (Video-Assisted Anal Fistula Treatment): VAAFT is a minimally invasive procedure that uses a video endoscope to visualize and treat the fistula tract. A special electrode is then used to close off the fistula from the inside. This technique offers a quicker recovery time compared to traditional surgery. Conclusion: Anal fistulas can be painful and challenging to manage, but with the right treatment approach, relief and healing are possible. The appropriate treatment method depends on the complexity and location of the fistula. Consulting with a qualified colorectal surgeon or gastroenterologist is essential to determine the best course of action for each individual case. Early intervention and comprehensive care can significantly improve the chances of successful healing and a better quality of life for patients dealing with anal fistulas.

Surgery is usually #necessary to treat an #analfistula as they usually do not #heal by themselves. There are #several #different #procedures . The best option for you will depend on the position of your fistula and whether it's a #single #channel or #branches off in different directions. #laser #surgery for #fistula . Radially emitting laser fibre treatment involves using a small laser beam to seal the fistula. There are uncertainties around how well it works, but there are no major safety concerns. #for_more_information #call 9090960353 #vivekanandbbs #odisha #westbengal #india #cure #care #lasersurgery #lesspain #nobloodloss https://www.instagram.com/p/B8RHLmqJbDc/?igshid=yxs8hg2gz6lb
