Super interested in how you plan to write Leopardfoot! I feel like both fanon and canon tend to make her into a sweet mom(tm) who’s super sad that Tigerstar is evil, very similar to how Goldenflower is usually treated. What’s her thoughts on Pinestar and him leaving? How did she influence Tigerstar? What are her political beliefs?
Society has progressed past the need for sad moms who stare tearily at their evil sons and boohoo about all the murder. It's MOTHER AGENCY TIME
BB!Leopardfoot was FEROCIOUS. Her father was the indominable Adderfang, and he taught her about the importance of honor and glory. When Tigerpaw was given to Thistleclaw as an apprentice, she was proud of it. It felt perfect to her-- that her father's apprentice was now her son's mentor.
For his brief rule, she supported Sunstar completely. It helped that he came after the disastrous and embarassing exit of Pinestar, which ruined the legacy that she wanted him to give her son. Pinestar was a damn coward and a codebreaker... and she assured Tigerkit that he was more HER son than his.
She even gives him a life, for Legacy, in defiance of StarClan
She was friends with Bluemoon for a time, but after ascending to StarClan, she learned about the Forget-me-nots.
This changed her opinion of her. Leopardfoot supports Thistle Law, STRONGLY so.
She supported THISTLECLAW when he tried to forcefully void the Queen’s Rights. If Bluemoon hadn't broken the code, then what did she have to hide?
She backed off when Thrushpelt leapt to her defense though, "She didn't reveal it because she doesn't love me are you happy now??"
Leopardfoot: *awkwardly turns away feeling like an asshole now, tea SPILLED, her friend's dirty laundry EXPOSED, thought she was crusading for the law but she just dug up drama*
Towards the end of Pinestar’s reign, he was getting exhausted. He wanted peace. Leopardfoot wanted kittens around that time, and figured that there was no better cat than the son of Oakstar, architect of the infamous Crusade Era.
If Pinestar had no children, a glorious bloodline would have died out. She wanted it for her kits. Pinestar agreed on the condition that he would be their Mi, which she happily accepted.
So when Pinestar left, she jumped into the nursery to take over and had to explain to her kits where their Mi went.
She drove it home to them that he abandoned everything, because his weakness took over. They would never be like him, she promised.
Mistkit died very young. Nightpaw made it to apprenticeship before she also succumbed. Tigerclaw remembers very well how hard it was to lose his sisters.
Leopardfoot herself was taken shortly before TPB, in Spottedleaf's Plague. Her death causes Tigerclaw to have a bit of a moment.
After the trial in Bluestar's Flowers, Leopardfoot leaves StarClan along with a bunch of other Thistle Law supporters, including Thistleclaw himself. She joins the BOTTE at the end of OotS, fighting to the end with her son.
She misses him a lot, and remains in the Dark Forest to the current arc. She chose her path; and has the dignity to walk it.
She does miss StarClan sometimes though, and will tell you stories about it if you ask.
In terms of demon friends, she's somewhere in the clique between the harsher and softer spirits.
She dislikes Morningstar, Cloudberry, and Ryewhisker on the softer end, and has come to resent Thistleclaw and Finchflight on the other, but likes Darkstripe, Leopardstar, and Silverhawk.
Gets along with a range of "mid" level demons.
In particular I imagine she hangs out with Darkstripe a lot. Taste test buddy, he asks her to try his experimental recipes because she's honest but not mean. One of the few Thistle Law supporting cats he hangs out with after the double-death of Tigerstar.
He calls her Lefty. Her official nickname is "Left" but he calls her Lefty.
(Clanmew: her name is Saorpwyyar. Others call her Saopr. He calls her Sapyy.)
Her mom and dad Swiftbreeze and Adderfang are here too, following Thistleclaw like she did, but she's been minimizing her contact with her dad. She feels like she is owed an apology somehow but also doesn't have the emotional intelligence to know that it's what she wants.
She just knows that she feels really bitter talking to him, and that's unpleasant.
She used to be VITRIOLIC with Pinestar, who is also here, even going after him physically when he chose to join in with the Dark Forest trainees. But now... honestly so much shit has happened, she just doesn't like seeing him. She wishes he wasn't here.
I write her being very dignified. She doesn't like to admit publically she was ever wrong and speaks with confidence, quietly backing off and not wanting to speak about her mistakes. She loves her children and her family, but explores the world in a very "self-centric" way, trusting her feelings and personal judgement over anything logical.
A reactionary sort of person, if that makes sense.
Her Land Mar has to develop over time because she is an ex-StarClan migrant (damned souls get theirs instantly after judgement), but it's called the Fence Cliff. It's a picket fence that blocks off a sheer drop, making a sharp turn down the cliff face and acting as a walkway. Follow the fence down the slope, and you can access the Dark Forest's town biome.

@klonoadreams inspired me after I asked if she knew about Slayers that somehow minorly spiralled into this, and gave me consent to use Yuu(now with Crowley as her possible last name), or THE FLOOF, from her Twisted Wonderland fanfic, Counting Sheep, which I GREATLY recommend for fluff and good character interaction, all of which is backed up by a very talented author. Also, I don't know how to make this a Read More post, so it's a long post. If you know how to make this a read more, could you please tell me?
Also, I have a name for this, using Slayers naming theme:
Slayers: Twisted Wonderland
Anyways, background! You see, Twisted Wonderland is one of four worlds created by The Lord of Nightmares, aka Lucifer, or L-Sama if you want to be BORING(hello personal bias) that has both Mazuko and Shinzuko, aka Demons and Gods, and is the world Death Fog(DF for short) hails from.
You see, long ago DF was fighting his Shinzuko counterpart, White Dragon(WD for short), and was actually WINNING because his body was essentially made out of Semi-solid fog that he can make nonsolid at will, making it VERY hard to not only get a decent hit in on him or do any lasting damage, but also makes it really hard to seal him away. He was used to splitting up his power via splitting himself apart, so method used on Ruby Eye Shabranigdu wouldn't work, they couldn't seal himaway somewhere since it's almost if not outright impossible to prevent air from going where it wants to, so via riding on air currents or just dispersing himself in tiny air particles he would just exit where/whatever he was imprisoned, that and since he could manipulate death, after all he is called *Death* Fog, so sealing him into a living being would just be the stupidest move.
However, WD had a plan. You see, unlike other Shinzuko he not only realized that he can die, but eventually even without the constant threat of the Mazuko, their world will eventually go back into The Sea of Chaos. However, he also realized that it might take centuries before a dead world would erode enough to return to The Sea of Chaos, and after alot of thought, he came to a conclusion. So, he called for a talk under a nonaggression pact, which DF warily accepted, if only because DF knew that if WD did try tk attack him, their attacks wouldn't really affect him. So they met, and WD explained his reasoning. Due to seeing various forms of civilizations rise and fall, he realized that eventually the world will rot away, but it would take a long time to fully rot away, and that their might not be enough energy for when it returns to The Sea of Chaos for Lucifer to recreate with life(She could but he didn't know that). So, he wanted to make a deal with DF. When the world was eventually rotted enough, the DF and the other Mazuko are to mercy kill it, thus allowing it to return to The Sea of Chaos, and allowing Lucifer to recreate it. After she does so, he and the other Shinzuko will help life get back on its feet, thus letting it begin again. The Mazuko get to eventually destroy the world, the Shinzuko get to help life prosper, and those that live in it don't have to worry that DF will do something to destroy the world they live in. Everyone wins, and neither DF and WD will die because of this war. Sure there will be dissenters, but they can deal with them when they arise. DF agreed, because even if he won't be able to destroy the world as soon as he likes, it would eventually be destroyed, so he can be patient. Besides, DF can admit that doing it this way may please Lucifer, and considering Hellmaster's word choice when talking about/to her and how Xellous was immediately respectful towards her, no questions asked, I theorize that Mazuko are a lot closer to her than they're Shinzuko counterparts.
However, near the end of the negotiations, WD asked DF if he would get rid of a certain curse he casted on the mortals, that curse being that using magic forms Blot, and to much Blot can cause the Mage to Overblot. DF was in a good mood and agreed, and honestly wanted to see the chaos of this particular curse all of a sudden breaking for no apparent reason, only for him to freeze up, much to WD's confusion. The reason he freezed up? Somehow, someway, his curse became so tightly entwined with the mortals, that freeing them of that curse would cause them to most likely die, something that DF never intended to happen. Cue DF turning to WD to ask if he or his Shinzuko ever tried to mess with the curse, and when WD denied it DF and WD came to a horrible conclusion, either the mortals simply adapted to the curse, or they already have traitors in they're groups that deliberately messed with the curse. DF and WD both agreed that they shouldn't keep this a secret, and so both of them agreed that upon leaving this meeting, they will spread the word around in hopes of finding out if there are traitors or not, while WD planning on also informing the mortals about the truce he and DF agreed on, and what the Mazuko will eventually do, even if it isn't in this lifetime.
Anyways, completely changing the subject, you see, before DF's and WD's war, The Lord of Nightmares grew curious to see what would happen if they where to make a world without Mazuko and Shinzuko. Would that world's inhabitants still manage to use Magic, or would they evolve to not use Magic? She was curious, and thus she created that world, and many others like it but also somewhat different to see how they differentiate, and one of those worlds being the world Yuu is from.
And before you ask, each of those worlds could be worlds that we see as fiction, like a world where the Harry Potter books take place, or a world like our own. Hell, we could be in a world The Lord of Nightmares created, and we would never know! So I suggest you don't think to hard about all the other worlds without Mazuko or Shinzuko. After all, they aren't important for this, story, outline, thing.
And that's the background for this, story, outline, thing. Again, Yuu belongs to @klonoadreams, not me, and I'm just making this little AU. And before someone asks, DF and WD won't really be there in Twisted Wonderland, mostly because they prefer to sit back and watch what happens, and when it comes to DF preferably with Popcorn. Essentially, they take a backseat in the Astral Realm, and only really interact with the world in mortal forms so they don't accidentally destroy either a small town or blot out the sun. This is also how DF gets his Popcorn. Seriously it's his favorite food at this rate.

A Brief Outline of the Diabolik Lovers Timeline
This post contains spoilers for Dark Fate and Lost Eden. However it is free of Chaos Lineage spoilers. Also note the spellings of some of the names here vary between translations.
First of all I’m just going to give a quick outline of the world in which DL is set as of Lost Eden for anyone who hasn’t played the games. In the DL universe, there exists the human world and the demon world. In the demon world there are four different clans of demons, with links to four different animals; vampires (who are associated with bats), the Vibora (who are associated with snakes), the Adler (who are associated with eagles) and the wolf clan.
And then there are the founders (or originators depending on how the name is translated) who are also referred to as first bloods. The founders were the original demon race, and they are the ancestors of the four demon clans mentioned above. Because of this they possess abilities from all four clans and can transform into a bat, snake, eagle or wolf, as well as generally being considered stronger than the other demon races (with some exceptions).
On top of these races you also have the ghouls, who are first introduced in Lost Eden and are separate to the other demon races. Ghouls are very similar to humans in terms of abilities, although they can turn into crows. The main demon races mistreat the ghouls quite badly due to the distinct difference in their power levels. Humans who spend too long in the demon world become ghouls but ghouls can be conceived naturally between two ghoul parents as well. They have been forced to live in an area known as Rotigenberg, which is an unpleasant part of the demon world.
At the start of this timeline, Giesbach, Shin and Carla’s father, ruled over the founders and, although Karl Heinz was the vampire king around the same time, the founders were the ones effectively in charge of the demon world. They all lived in a castle known as Banmaden (the translation of which is Pandemonium, and you’ll often see it referenced using either of these names). I’m going to list the key events as bullet points because I think that makes it a little easier to read.
- Carla is born to Giesbach and his wife Krone.
- Endzeit first appears and begins to affect the founders. Endzeit is a fatal disease that is contracted through contact with infected blood, however it is completely unique to the founders and none of the other demon races can catch it. The illness presents with dark bruises on the skin sometime after infection, and later progresses to tuberculous-like symptoms, with the final stages involving a sort of paralysis.
- Karl visits Rotigenburg for unknown reasons and leaves some trace of his DNA behind. This fuses with the miasma present in the air to form Kino, who is later taken in by the ghouls. *
- Shin is born.*
- Krone asks Karl Heinz for his help with Endzeit, as he was friends with her and Giesbach at the time. Karl asks Krone to send him a founder in order to conduct his research. Krone manages to get Menae, Shin and Carla’s aunt, to agree to this but they are not yet able to get her to Karl Heinz.
- Jealous of Karl’s power, Giesbach decides to wage war upon him and the demon lord Burai (who was one of the Vibora). Krone pleads with him not to but Giesbach locks her in dungeons.
- More founders are affected by Endzeit and confined to the dungeons, leading to Krone contracting the disease. As Carla visits her but remains fine, she realizes that it must be spread through blood.
- Krone gives a knife with her blood on it to Carla so that he can kill Giesbach and stop the war. Carla confronts his father and successfully infects him with Endzeit but becomes infected himself in the process. Unfortunately he is too late to save the founders and Karl Heinz seals them all in Banmaden using his magic.
- Menae receives instructions from Karl on how to slip through the barrier surrounding the castle and leaves (presumably after being infected with Endzeit). Magic is used to erase any memories of her possessed by the founders remaining in the castle but it does not work properly on Carla.
- Menae conceives Cordelia with Burai (the demon lord of the Vibora), due to Karl’s influence, making Cordelia Shin and Carla’s first cousin (while the triplets are their second cousins). Now as for Cordelia’s race, it’s a little vague but as far as I can tell, only one parent needs to be a full first blood in order for their offspring to inherent founder blood. So although Cordelia is part Vibora, her race would be classified as first blood because she draws on the blood of all four demon clans through Menae.
- Menae passes away after Cordelia is born and as she grows up, Karl Heinz starts to court her. Cordelia falls in love with him and then marries him.
- In order to push Cordelia to have children with him, Karl takes Beatrix as his wife and he also proceeds to marry Christa, his cousin. Now depending on which game you go on, this is either because he wants to have an incest child for his experiments (DF) or because he actually has some feelings for her but I’d take the last one with a pinch of salt given Karl’s overall characterization throughout the series.
- Shuu is born to Beatrix and Karl, which incites Cordelia’s fury as this makes Shuu his heir, even though Beatrix is Karl’s second wife.
- Reiji is born.
- Cordelia gives birth to the triplets. Despite Cordelia having founder blood, the triplets are vampires. I can only conclude that this is because Cordelia was not a full founder while Karl was a pure blood vampire.
- Christa has Subaru and subsequently starts to descend into madness.
- While Shuu is still a child he encounters Yuma, known then as Edgar, and the two are friends until Reiji burns down Edgar’s village. This leaves Edgar with amnesia. He runs into a boy named Lucks, and joins his gang, however Lucks is later killed and Yuma is sent to an orphanage.
- Around this time Kou and Azusa are living on the streets and they are sent to the same orphanage as Yuma. -Also around this time, Ruki’s once rich father loses all of their money and commits suicide. Ruki’s mother runs off with a lover and Ruki is beaten by the household servants until he runs and takes to living on the streets. Ruki is then also sent to the orphanage.
- The Mukami brothers meet at the orphanage and work together to form an escape plan. It fails and Ruki is branded by the people running the orphanage. Karl Heinz then appears before him and offers to make the Mukami brothers vampires in exchange for their loyalty and help with his plan. They accept and Karl takes them in.
- Reiji hires Seiji, a vampire hunter who later becomes Yui’s adoptive father, to kill Beatrix.
- Cordelia is killed by the triplets but her heart is taken from her body by Richter, Karl’s brother, and implanted into an infant Yui who is then given to Seiji Komori.
- Yui grows up and is sent to live with the Sakamaki brothers.
- While all this is happening the founders are still trapped in Banmaden, however they are killed off by Endzeit. Giesbach finally dies, leaving only Carla and Shin and making Carla the first blood ruler. Carla recalls that they had an aunt and they find her brooch which is imbued with some type of magic. Using that they deduce she escaped on the night of a lunar eclipse, as during lunar eclipses, a vampire’s power will weaken while a founder’s grows stronger.
- Carla and Shin break the barrier on Banmaden, freeing them and this is where Dark Fate starts. They seek out Menae as they need a woman with founder blood to restore their race, however they encounter a poorly disguised Richter who tells them that although Menae is dead, the heart of her daughter resides inside a human woman.
- The Tsukinami brothers seek out Yui and from here things diverge depending on which route you play.
- Although it is not stated exactly when, at some point Kino ascertains that he is related to Karl Heinz, although he mistakenly thinks that he is Karl’s son and it is only revealed that this is not the case in the Manservant Ending of his LE route.
And that should cover it. I’ve gone into more details with the founders because I know more about them and that seems to be the part that people find confusing.  In terms of a timescale, it’s a little hard to discern. I’ve seen various theories on the ages of the Sakamaki and Mukami brothers but I personally I am unsure. One thing I will say is that the Tsukinami brothers are definitely a lot older than all of the other diaboys, as they were trapped in Banmaden before Cordelia was even born. It does confuse me as to why their physical ages are listed as being younger than some of the Sakamaki brothers, but I’ve decided to put this down to them having to say they’re a certain age when applying to school.
*Regarding the order of Shin and Kino’s birth, I do not believe that the canon material gives enough information to determine which of the two of them is actually older and personally I think I could argue it either way. The reason I have listed them in the order above, is that this gives perhaps the simplest overview of the timeline and groups a bunch of the founder-centric events together. But yeah, keep this in mind and I find anything more on this I’ll update this post.
