In this silent, but radical restructuring of entire industries, the artist becomes a template of a future that is digitally assembled from a myriad of fragments of the past.
In the experimental film Hysteresis, Seidel’s analogue drawings and digital processing merge with the queer performance of Tsuki, whose movements improvise between Ballet, Butoh and Berlin club culture. In a fusion process, her image is recorded, fed back through Seidel’s devices and then projected onto her body. An expanding digital sphere beyond labels and identifications with gender, culminating in dehabitualised neural patterns and reconceived fabrics of intimacy beyond rational understanding. In a final step, the resulting sessions are edited and dissolved by machine-learning strategies into a constant flow of pulsating images and folded spatial configurations. The resulting Muybridgean silhouettes, baroque textures and bursting structures fluctuate between the second and third dimensions, unfolding free-floating gestures that unhinge the laws of nature. Meanwhile, delicate abrasions of the pictorial frame build bridges into contradictory concatenations of reality. The soundtrack by Oval (Markus Popp) incessantly corrodes this dense web of associations, threatening to dissolve the remaining fragile points of reference.
At a time when an overriding predictability is forced upon us all, the film celebrates the disruption of pattern recognition and the artistic corruption of results induced by artificial intelligence, specifically machine learning. With Hysteresis Seidel explores new grounds in his experimental practice and collaboration. Unveiling a frenetic, delicate and flamboyant visual language, that speaks to the hysteria and hysteresis in this historical moment. The artist wants to open a discourse about these unique modes of AI creation – with implications beyond the film and other media, to that singularity, where history collapses into a single point in the present.

Život na Jugu
Zvali su me Yekaterina. Zvali su me Catherine. Zvali su me Catarina i Nina, i zvali su me Kitty i Cat. I ponekad mačkica.
Djed me je bio zvao Katya, bila sam njegovo dijete. Kasnije sam saznala kako je to zato što je rano otišao, ostavivši ženu i kćer na njenim grudima, a po povratku zatekao nepoznatu majku tuđih sinova i živi podsjetnik na sramotu koji joj je jedinica oporučno ostavila. Dogovor je, kaže, bio brzo zaključen; Varvara Germanovna, žena koju ću kasnije pamtiti samo po fotografiji i ispravi o prepuštanju na skrb djedu, poklonila je svoju unuku, Yekaterinu Livovnu, Vasiliju Sergejeviču Sopovu. Kasnije ću od svojega Vasye saznati da smo Yumnu napustili sami i gladni iste godine, da nije neobično što se ne sjećam jer sam imala svega malo više od dvije godine.
Mene za Yumnu više ništa ne veže, ni za Manchester, ni za Bristol, ni Lyon, ni bilo koji drugi grad kroz koje sam prolazila, prateći Vasyne poslovne pothvate, gledajući kako u nepovrat rasipa miraz koji mu je Varvara dala kao naknadu za brigu što skida teret s njenih pleća, prolazila stasajući u djevojku, što je Vasyu isprva zbunjivalo, kasnije plašilo. S hladnog smo gospodarstva Varvarina nova supruga otišli zapadno za Moskvu, odande za Britaniju, koje se ne sjećam najbolje. Vasya će mi u narednim godinama spominjati drvo oraha ispod kojega se nalazi majčin grob. Ne sjećam se majke, ne sjećam se njena imena, a ne sjećam se ni groba.
Mene za Yumnu ništa ne veže, otkako sam saznala da je Varvara umrla, ostavivši za sobom trojicu sinova i bogatog udovca čije sam prezime i ja nosila. Vasya Yumnu nikada nije zabravio. Želja da se jednoga dana vrati na djedovinu, da posjeti bakin i majčin grob bila je njegov pokretač. Iz Bristola smo otišli brodom, moja su prva prava dječja sjećanja vezana za Provansu. Kroz desetak će ih godina zamijeniti prve slike života u Lyonu. Malo je tko htio zaposliti ruskog siromaha bez ikakva talenta i znanja, po vlastitu priznanju osiromašena seoskog plemića kojemu je rat donio samo gubitak, a veliku pobjedu njegovu caru. Nakon godina propalih ulaganja i smrdljivih soba iznad kožarskih radionica i pekara, nakon što se u Bristolu za gospodina Eustacea Maddena, jedinca i nasljednika roditeljskog pansiona Silver Swan, udala Ivana Manina, žena koja je s Vasyom  iz Moskve krenula u Britaniju i svakodnevno žalila što je ostavila prljavu podrumsku sobicu za kućnu ispomoć u domu Židovke kod koje je radila za hranu i postelju, ribarskim smo brodom prešli Kanal i našli se ponovno na europskom tlu. Godinu smo dana kružili francuskim selima, sedmi sam rođendan dočekala u kamenoj kući, prvoj koju sam u životu mogla nazvati domom. Dom je odjednom prestao biti moj Vasya, a postala hrpa kamenja, sunčani kolovoz, miris maslina i meda. Kuća u kojoj smo živjeli nije bila naša; María je svoj dom otvorila siromahu bogatom ljubavlju. I njoj je rat odnio sve, pojeo joj je roditelje, supruga i djecu, i ostavio je samu na mjestu koje je, barem meni nakon godine prašine, blata, kiša i nesnosnih žega, izgledalo kao raj. Bila je stara, činila se prestarom, ali su joj morsko plave oči i držanje, kakvo sam zamišljala da imaju pariške dame, s leđa skinuli bar petnaest godina. Nikada u životu nisam bila u Parizu. Moje maleno selo nosilo je isto ime kao i María, a i svi su u mjestu bili orođeni. Velika, sretna obitelj. Prvi sam put u životu vidjela da Vasya gleda drugu ženu pogledom namijenjenim samo meni. Vijest o Varvarinoj smrti stigla je za našega života na Jugu. Vasya je mnogo plakao, María je razumjela, a meni je bilo krivo što ne suosjećam. O putu u Yumnu Vasya je mogao samo nastaviti sanjariti kao svih dotadašnjih godina.
Zvali su me Catarina u Provansi. Djed i María. Djeca iz sela pokušavala su u početku zvati me mojim imenom, a ja sam ga prkosno svakoga jutra mijenjala; jedan sam dan bila Ruskinja, drugi dan Engleskinja, a ponekad iz Aragona, Prusije ili Bavarske. Uskoro se među djecom i njihovim roditeljima ustalilo ime Kitty, a ja sam i na to pristala kao i na svaku promjenu do tad. Moje mi se ime nikada nije sviđalo. Yekaterina. Zvučalo je previše daleko, uobraženo, bez-obrazno. Hladno. Podsjećalo me na Rusiju, na zime u Yumni iz Vasyina djetinjstva, na ruske majke koje stavljaju ponos ispred ljubavi i ostavljaju siročad za sobom. Djeca su me u selu zvala Kitty. Kitty je bila sretna. Zavidim joj na godinama bezbrižnosti, trčanju kroz polja i voćnjake, brčkanje u potoku i vremenu provedenom s Julie. Julie je živjela u kući udaljenoj dovoljno blizu da jedna drugoj dovikujemo kroz rastvorene škure na tavanskim prozorima, a dovoljno daleko da jedna drugu pritom ne razumijemo uvijek. Često bismo provodile dane potpuno same, izbjegavajući drugu, manju djecu iz sela. Njen bi nam se brat Julien ponekad pridružio. Bio je nekoliko godina stariji od nas, a naše mu je društvo bila dobra izlika od rada u polju. Često bismo odlazili do potoka koji je dijelio rubove naših voćnjaka od šume; Julien bi se hvalisao dok bezuspješno lovi pastrve, a Julie i Kitty bi se kupale u bistroj hladnoj vodi i sakrivale između listova rogoza. Bile smo neumorne, Julien bi se već bio predao i s obale nas promatrao kako zapljuskujemo jedna drugu vodom, izvodimo bezopasne vratolomije i nevino se međusobno dražimo sve dok se jedna ne uvrijedi i igra prestaje. Ponekad bi ustao i osamio se u šumu ili rogoz dok smo Julie i ja čekale da se na suncu posušimo. Potok je za Kitty bio bijeg iz stvarnosti, bijeg iz uljuljkanog mirnog provansalskog života u kojemu sam ostala bez samo svoga Vasye, života u kojemu se nisam bojala gladi, u kojemu se nisam više veselila svakom obrok i svakom lijeganju u suhu postelju. Voljele smo se uvlačiti među listove rogoza, ondje su se gnijezdile patke. Julien, Julie i Kitty zvali su ih utve, iako to nisu bile. Posebna je draž bila vjerovati da nitko oko nas ne zna naš tajni jezik. Vrebali smo utve često, vrebali smo i njihova gnijezda. Julie je jednom našla na patku s polomljenim krilom. Nije mogla pobjeći, a i bilo nas je troje. Nakon nekoliko njenih ugriza i naših vriskova, pticu smo izvukli na obalu. Na Julienovu sam licu prvi put vidjela pogled koji ću zauvijek zapamtiti. Sagnuo se nad omamljenu pticu, kojoj smo očigledno polomili i drugo krilo, i počeo joj čupkati perje, zatim uvrtati noge, zašiljenom grančicom trgati plivače kože dok se ona glasala kako se patke inače ne glasaju. Djedu i Maríji nikada nisam rekla u čemu sam toga dana sudjelovala.
Napunivši četrnaest godina, zamolila sam Vasyu da odustane od pokušaja da stupi u kontakt s Varvarinim sinovima i organizira put u Yumnu. Djed nije imao sluha, pisao je u Rusiju često. Svakim sam se ljetom udaljavala sve više od djeda. María mi je postajala sve bližom. Dok je sa mnom razgovarala o mom djevojaštvu, kao da se vraćala u svoje. Julie i ja također smo se udaljavale. Seoske priče o bogatim damama iz visokog društva s kućama za odmor u susjednim mjestima i priče koje je čitala na francuskom i okcitanskom o uzbudljivu životu dama i gospode dovele su Julie do zaključka da želi postati jedna od njih, otići u Pariz. Juliena nisam vidjela dvije godine, otišao je u Lyon izučavati zanat, ni Julie nije znala točno koji. Otkako je otišao iz kuće, Julie se dosta promijenila. Nastavila je posjećivati potok, rijetko sa mnom, ali rijetko i sama. Malo prije Uskrsa te godine, Vasyinog i mog, Julie se sa mnom oprostila, odlazi na put u Pariz, tobožnjoj tetki koja joj je našla posao krojačice u jednom renomiranom obrtu koji oblači samo supruge najbogatijih Parižana. Vasya i María iste su večeri sa mnom razgovarali o rogozu, o Julie i o mojoj majci.
Nina. Ja sam Nina. Zovite me Nina. Ponavljala bih sebi iznova i iznova pred ogledalom. Vasya i ja preselili smo se na obalu, u Cassis, selo smo napustili nakon što je María umrla. Živjela sam u Lyonu kada mi je stiglo pismo od Vasye. Julien nije razumio zašto se želim vratiti kući. Godina dana s njim u gradu prošla je brzo. S Julienom sam ponovno osjetila glad i nesigurnost. Sutradan nakon primitka pisma otišla sam na Rhonu, na brod do Valence se ukrcala pod imenom Kitty Manin, svoje sam tuđe lavlje prezime odlučila ostaviti u Lyonu. Ostavila sam Kittynu prvu ljubav, Kittynu nevinost, svoj najveći strah, svoj pokušaj života. Vasyi ne ću reći da smo Julien i ja čekali dijete sve do njegovih zadnjih minuta. Dok sam odlazila, Julien me prokunuo. Često mi je psovao boga. Na putu do Valence razmišljala sam o Maríji, majci, Varvari i bogu; pa Maríjin i Julienov bog nije moj i Vasyin bog, zaključih kako ni moj zavjet Julienu na ljubav ne vrijedi jer je izrečen pred krivim bogom. Kasnije ću shvatiti kako je naš brak bio ništavan jer ni jedan bog ozbiljno ne shvaća riječi jedne šesnaestogodišnjakinje željne pustolovine i ljubavi. Maríju smo sahranili, kuću prodali obitelji iz drugog sela čiji se sin oženio i htio zasnovati vlastitu obitelj; naša je velika obitelj trenutačno zaboravila na sve godine provedene zajedno i takvu nam izdaju nije oprostila. Julie mi nakon toga više nije vraćala pisma.
Vasyin smo pedesetpeti rođendan dočekali u svom novom domu. U Cassisu smo zakupili na dulje vrijeme dvosobni stan u potkrovlju zgrade u čijem se prizemlju nalazila praonica rublja, a stanari ostalih stanova smjenjivali su se brže no što smo si Vasya i ja mogli priuštiti pranje krevetnine. Stan nam je po sumnjivo pristupačnoj cijeni iznajmio gospodin Hugo, čije prezime nitko, čini se, nije znao, a za tim nije ni bilo potrebe. Hugo, kojega sam upoznala u Lyonu kao Julienova poznanika, pojavio se na brodu za Valencu kada sam se vraćala u selo. Neobavezan se razgovor pretvorio u životno ispovijedanje čovjeku koji je u sebi imao bezrazložne empatije. Ponio se prema meni kao otac. Ne, ne kao otac, to je mjesto zauvijek Vasyino, ali kao ujak ili stric. Predložio mi je preseljenje u Cassis, nov početak za mojeg, dā se primijetiti, voljenoga djeda i mene. Novi je grad na mene utjecao vrlo dobro, Vasyja ovu promjenu nije najbolje podnio. Ipak, za njega je jedini ispravan put bio povratak na majčin grob, u Yumnu. Radila sam povremeno u Hugovoj praonici ili kao kućna pomoć kod gospođe De Marais, kojoj me Hugo također preporučio. Nikada ne ću saznati što je uzrok Hugove neobične naklonosti prema meni, s obzirom na to da je jednoga dana bez pozdrava nestao, a zgradu u kojoj smo Vasya i ja živjeli, prodao izvjesnom Fabienu Abelu, čovjeku koji će naš dom nakon nekoliko godina razrušiti i na mjestu njega izgraditi hotel, ružno zdanje koje će zauvijek ostati zapamćeno po samoubojstvu vlasnika netom po završetku izgradnje. Život u Cassisu nije bio jeftin, malo novca koji nam je ostao od prodaje Maríjine kuće i onoga što je Vasya za deset godina života s njom uspio uštedjeti mjesec za mjesecom postajalo je sve manje. Moj rad nije donosio dovoljno za lagodan život, a Vasya se razbolio i lagano je kopnio. Nisam sigurna je li bila riječ o bolesti ili depresiji, bila sam premlada da jasno razaznam.
Prva zima u Cassisu bila je izrazito blaga. Nisam voljela hladnoću, osjećala sam je kao nešto ružno.
Drugu sam zimu dočekala više radeći kod madam Ysobelle nego u praonici. Prvi susret s Ysobelle De Marais pamtila sam zauvijek. Visoka tamnoputa žena u kasnim tridesetima s grlenim izgovorom i španjolskim naglaskom, kose koja dodiruje bokove i dvaju zelenih oniksa duboko utisnutih ispod obrva, izgledala je kao ni jedna žena koju sam do tad vidjela. Njena životna priča podsjeća na moju; dodavala je i oduzimala dijelove svojega života u ovisnosti o sugovorniku. Podsjećala na deset godina daleku Kitty koja nevinu seosku djecu vuče za nos svojim pričama, sve dok djeca ne odluče stati joj na kraj. Ysobelle De Marais nitko nije mogao stati na kraj. Njeni sugovornici nisu bili nevini kao Kittyni. Mnogi s titulama, a još više njih s visokim ugledom, i kapitalom koji uz njega ide, dolazili su Ysobelle upravo da bi ih vukla za nos. Njene bi oči pritom sličile Julienovim onoga dana kraj potoka. Gospodin De Marais obnašao je političku funkciju u Marseilleu, kasnije i u Parizu. Gospođi je ostavljao dovoljno vremena za dokolicu i vlastite financijske prihode. Svoje troškove nije morala pravdati suprugu, po njenim riječima, slabiću i slijepcu čiji je njuh za posao takav da bi bez nje propao davno. Iako je i Hugo bio čest gost u domu De Marais, gospođa i on ophodili su se u rukavicama. Izazvao je naročit bijes kada se, neočekivano, njen prijatelj i, očito, poslovni suradnik, odlučio bez riječi povući i iz njena života.
Drugu zimu u Cassisu dočekala sam imena Nina Manin radeći kao kućna ispomoć madam Ysobelle De Marais, kćeri Maurina i Španjolke i vjerojatno najbolje stojeće kurtizane od Gibraltara do Bospora. U kući Da Marais upoznala sam i Maximiliana, momka koji je od mene bio stariji dvije godine, nahoče koje je, također, gospodin Hugo doveo na službu gospođi Ysobelle. Bio je i ostao stasit, razborit; ali neozbiljan, uvijek spreman na šalu; rado ću ga se kasnijih godina takvoga sjećati. Nismo mnogo vremena provodili zajedno, kod Maraisovih sam radila povremeno, po pozivu, Ysobelle je imala i drugih djevojaka koje su kod nje služile. Maximilian je živio u kućanstvu. Gadila mi se ideja da je jedan od Ysobellinih muškaraca, da se i s njim sastaje nasamo. Moja će se pretpostavke pokazati pogrešnima; Maxim mi je kasnije ispričao kako između njega i Ysobelle, i prije nego li je saznao da mu je majka, nije bilo ničega. Rekao je da nije da nije bilo pokušaja, ali je ustrajnost i oštrinu valjda naslijedio od nje; treće „ne“ shvatila je kao konačno. Vrijeme koje sam provodila u stanu s Vasyom postajalo mi je teret, sve se više zatvarao u sebe, sve je više maštao o Yumni, sve se više želio vratiti. Maríju je pred kraj i zaboravio, a zaboravio je i mene, danju bi iz svoje postelje dozivao Varvaru i Arinu, tako se valjda moja majka zvala, a noću me budio nemuštim vikanjem ili bukom koju je u stanu pravio premještajući stvari poput kuhinjskog posuđa i lakšeg namještaja. Oko Božića su pritisci da odselimo iz stana postajali sve češći.
Prošli smo kroz Gibraltar i konačno sam mogla odahnuti. Nema više hladne Yumne i majčina groba, ni Juliena i njegovog luđačkog pogleda, nema smrdljivih francuskih sobica u potkrovljima loše izgrađenih zgrada i nema osoba iz prošlosti koje su me proganjale, a da ih nikada i nije bilo. Nema ni Vasye ni Maríje, i to će me kroz godine koje dolaze činiti izrazito tužnom. Za Provansu će me uvijek vezati neka čudna sjeta. Planirali smo Svetim Ferdinandom iz Porta otploviti za Brazil. Gratia Dei povela nas je iz Caratgene za Gvajanu. Vasya se sa mnom ukrcao na brod, vjerojatno misleći kako ga vodimo u Yumnu. Umro je petoga dana putovanja, još na Sredozemlju. Odlučila sam ga prepustiti moru, mislila sam da ne bih podnijela da ostane u Španjolskoj. Tek na Atlantiku Maxim mi je rekao kako je došao do novca za brod; Ysobelle je jednog jutra primila gosta, nekog gospodina Alberta. Sudbina je htjela da De Marais nakon mjeseci izbivanja uđe u salon u kobnom trenutku. Galamu je prekinuo grleni vrisak. Hitno je pozvan liječnik, ali prostrijelna rana kroz trbuh ocjenjena je smrtonosnom. Ysobelle je priznala da je od prvoga susreta s Maximilianom znala da je riječ o djetetu koje je, tek pošto se udala, dala u sirotište. Gospodin koji je upravo pobjegao dijete je predao katoličkom nahodištu. Sutradan ga u nahodištu više nije bilo. De Marais je odlučilo kako bi najbolje bilo da Maximilian ode iz Cassisa dok mu je Ysobelle mrtva ležala pod nogama. Slabić i nesposobnjaković joj je ipak stao na kraj.
U siječanjsko me jutro probudilo bjesomučno lupanje na vratima gospodina Abela koji je zahtijevao da kuću napustimo odmah. Tri kovčega i sanduk. Toliko je zauzimao cijeli Vasyin i moj život. Vasya je nakon dugo vremena osjetio sunce na svojoj koži, dok je Abel gledao kako se mlada žena od dvadeset ljeta bori s kovčezima težima od sebe same. Spustivši zadnji kovčeg, primijetila sam kako Vasya na ulici razgovara s nekim mladićem. Maximilian se okrenuo istodobno kada i Vasya. Prvi su me put nečije druge oči gledale onim Vasyinim pogledom. Na trenutka kao da je pogledao kroz mene, kuću koja više nije bila moj dom. Pitao me je kamo, rekoh da ne znam. Predložio mi je neki novi svijet. Dugo nisam bila išla u novi svijet.
„I, što sada?“, pitao me je dok smo sjedili u malenoj kabini, čekajući da nas Božja milost odvede u bolji život. „Ne možemo ostati bezimeni. Novi svijet, novi život. Trebali bismo postati novi ljudi novih imena.“
„A što nedostaje mojemu imenu, Nina Manin?“, odgovorila je Kitty.
„Ma daj, ne možeš vječno nositi ime žene koja se prikrpala tvom djedu na odlasku iz selendre u potrazi za boljim životom.“, reče. Zamislila sam se. Tko sam ja? Nisam Yekaterina. Nisam Kitty. Nisam ni Manin, pobogu, to sam ime ukrala. Sa Vasyom je umrla i Katya. Sad sam Nina.
„Ja sam Nina. Meni je dovoljno.“, odgovorih mu s osmijehom. Brzo sam se prilagodila njegovom ponašanju.
„E pa ja sam odsad Maxim. Meni dovoljno“, prohihotao je. „A kako sam rođen kao de, a mislim da vrijedim i više, bit ću i de i la.“, nastavio se smijati, ne onako dječje i razigrano kao ja. Gordost se u čovjeku razvije ili iz neozbiljnosti ili iz zloće. Ne ću nikada odgonetnuti onaj treći, Maximov uzrok. „Ovako ćemo završiti na notnoj skali.“
„Ja ako sam de la išta, oda sam de la Vasili Sergejevič Sopov. Dom nije nužno odakle si, ali ime jest od koga si.“ Odgovorila sam mu.
„De la Vazi… Kako?“, nisam obratila pažnju da sam Vasyino ime izgovorila kao da pričam s Rusom. „De la Vaz. De la Sá Vaz. Zvuči dobro zar ne?“, pitao me je nakon izostanka moga odgovora.
Zvao me je Nina de la Sá Vaz. Zvala sam se Nina de la Sá Vaz.

        Bila sam više puta u Turskoj, Istanbul je jedan od mojih omiljenih gradova. Uvek sam putovala autom, osim u jednoj prilici, kada sam sa bakom išla kod tetke u Ankaru – ona je već bila u osamdesetim godinama i nije baš nešto podnosila avion, a moja averzija prema autobusima je morala biti prevaziđena, zarad više sile 🙂 I tako, prvi put u životu se susretnem sa autobuskom stanicom u Istanbulu, tzv. otogarom. U centru, neposredno ispod Aksaraja, na relativno malom prostoru, izvanredno projektovanom, funkcioniše preko dvesta autobuskih kompanija, ne samo turskih, nego i stranih. Zgrada je napravljena krajnje jednostavno i veoma praktično, na relativno malom prostoru – ekonomično, izvanredno. Unutrašnjim elipsastim delom se ulazi kolima, spoljašnji deo zauzimaju peroni. Između unutrašnjeg dela i spoljašnjeg, gde su autobusi spremni za ulazak putnika, nalaze se prostorije agencija, gde se kupuju karte ili čekiraju, već prema situaciji i potrebi putnika. Spoljašnji deo, gde su peroni, pokriven je, nema kiše, snega, nema sunca i ostalih pojava – putnici ulaze u autobuse bukvalno iz agencije, na dva koraka su odatle. O udobnosti prevoza, o ljubaznosti stjuarda, pa svaki čas neke bombonice, pa čaj, pa sok, pa voda, pa grickalice, pa pitanja: ‘Da li Vam je udobno, madam?’, pa čisto, pa prijatno – da o tome ne širim priču, jer to znaju svi koji su imali prilike da se voze turskim prevoznim sredstvima. Put do Ankare je, naravno, sa četiri do šest traka u jednom smeru. Nijednom se nije dogodilo da je naš autobus ušao u traku kojom nije predviđeno da vozi. Disciplina, rođo, neviđena. Stali smo na jednom mestu, gde se ukrštaju razni pravci, imali pauzu od pola sata. Za to vreme, autobus je bio detaljno usisan unutra, savršeno opran spolja! A bio je već besprekorno čist. Toliko o turskoj prljavštini i nemaru na koji se vadimo pet-šest vekova unazad.
Nije poenta u tom putovanju, nego baš u toj autobuskoj stanici, s početka ove priče.
Juče odemo Panča i ja da čekamo autobus iz Brčkog, poslali nam prijatelji cd sa snimkom karotida drugara koji je na programu za operaciju u Institutu Dedinjie. S obzirom da imamo retko te situacije – slanja, čekanja, etc. – ne malo smo se zgranuli kad smo videli da dolaznog perona – nema. Nema ga tamo gde je bio. Hotel ‘Bristol’ izgleda kao iz Dikensovih romana! I tu žive ljudi… Žalosno. Brisani prostor, od Hecegovačke, što se ne zna ko je rušio, pa sve redom – dakle, ništa nema! Zona sumraka. Pitam u pekari, preko puta ‘Bristola’, gde je sada dolazni peron, kaže čovek da se okrenemo polukružno, pa nazad do tramvajskog mosta, pa pre mosta – levo. Odosmo da bauljamo u tri popodne, po najgoroj munji, u potrazi za dolaznim peronom. Rampa. Ne može da se uđe. Ode Panča, ja ostala u konzervi da se topim. I da pomerim auto, ako naiđe neka kaznena ekspedicija, jer, parkinga, naravno, takođe nema. Gledam okolo, sve ošišano, nigde drveta, nigde lada, ni u snu. Vraća se Panča, kaže, čekaćemo oko sat vremena, autobus kasni. Za tih sat vremena, pomerali smo se jedno devet puta – tako je situacija nalagala. I u tom međuvremenu, vremenu čekićanja, nastala je ova fotka. Troje tamnoputih ljudi, dva muškarca i jedna žena, svi natrontani, ona dodatno umotana u slojeve koječega što joj vera nalaže, bukvalno se tope na ranopopodnevnom suncu, dok slušaju ljubaznog taksistu koji im objašnjava kako da stignu tamo gde su naumili.
Šta sam htela ovim reći?
Svaka varošica u Srbiji ima bolje organizovanu autobusku stanicu, od Beograda. Neću sada o železničkom saobraćaju i železničkoj stanici koja više ne postoji. Da li je ova vlast normalna, evo, kažite i sami? Umesto da napraviš nešto, pre nego što uništiš postojeće, ne, ti rušiš postojeće sa idejom da, ko zna kada i ko zna gde, napraviš nešto. Rešenja postoje, evo napisala sam i opisala istanbulsku autobusku stanicu, prilažem i sliku iste, ali, koga to uopšte zanima? Naši građevinski poduhvati su sračunati na pranje para, a ne na udobnost i praktičnost namenjenu putnicima.
Evo, ja nisam pametna.

Svake godine britanski Conde Nast Traveller sastavlja listu "najboljih", što otprilike predstavlja "najbolje što svet putovanja ima da ponudi". Ove godine je zbog predivnih pejzaža i odlične hrane Italija proglašena najboljom zemljom na svetu, dok je Norveška dobila nagradu za najbolju aviokompaniju kada su u pitanju kratki letovi. Emirati imaju najbolje duge letove, a londonski Hitrou je najbolji aerodrom na svetu. Najboljim gradom u Britaniji proglašen je London, a najbolja "prekomorska" metropola je Pariz, pa zatim Rim. Štaviše, u Parizu se nalazi i hotel koji je proglašen najboljim - Le Bristol Paris. Beli pesak i prelepe plaže doprineli su tome da Havaji budu proglašeni najboljim ostrvom, dok su grčka ostrva dobila nagradu kao najbolji lanac ostrva. Rim je proglašen najboljim gradom za kulturu, dok je Tajland "najbolji za ljude".
