My favorite thing about the Bad Boys so far is that Grian is self-conscious about the skins.

Like I've seen all this cool fanart of them in their cool leather studded jackets and sunglasses but I think y'all are missing out on some comedy by not drawing Grian at least a little shy.

Most entertaining moment at entertainment mountain yet for me was when Jimmy was flexing his skin and Grian was like, and I quote, "I don't wanna", and Bdubs thought it was the coolest thing but Cleo was all like "hang your head in shame".

Like? I don't know how to explain it but I think this is fanfic/fanart material and y'all are missing out.

Ok so, Bdubs isn’t normally a god, yeah? He just said he was one about five minutes after he joined empires. But these things work differently here than they do on Hermitcraft. You call yourself a king or a mayor or a bone mage and those things are real but only so much as you make them real. It’s a role, on Hermitcraft, and there’s external influences sure, but everyone knows it’s the same you under that title.

On Empires, it’s different. You construct a Vigil and you say it keeps track of everyone’s deaths and everyone believes it and so it’s true. You call yourself a butterfly princess and everyone believes it and so it’s true. You call yourself a god…..

Ok I've only watched Joel's POV so far.

I was so rooting for him to win, partly because I wanted him to get Scott out, partly because I wanted him to win for Lizzie's sake, and partly because it would make Jimmy's Hunger Games predictions 343.

And he was down in the final 5. He got so close to finally killing Scott!

But he accidentally shot Bdubs, his ally, with his flame bow, and then Scott picked him off, claiming the hearts and giving him an advantage.

Joel died to Scott again, but this time it was because he caused the death of his teammate, arguably the most loyal person on the server...

Here's the thing, Etho loves Bdubs. He loves him so much that he wants him around all the time in front of everyone on the sever as much as possible. Bdubs loves Etho, obviously, and to him the highest, strongest form of loyalty is secrecy.

In Session 5, Etho felt so much remorse that he decided to be overly nice just for the sake of being nice. This isn't the usual dynamic and Bdubs, while also clearly loving the attention, was deeply unsettled. They welcome him into their base, build him a room, he basically could have left the mounders at this point and never looked back.

*And that's what Etho wanted to happen.*

But Bdubs is undyingly loyal to anyone who gives him attention so he doesn't move into the Roomies alliance; and in session 6 from Etho's perspective you barely see him at all bc he's busy playing chicken with Scar and Impulse.

The whole thing in session 7 could have changed if even moments before being killed he would have run to Etho. But Etho is tired of being the last resort, he loves Bdubs but he'd love it even more if he could have him the whole time and have it not be a plan B or the "when everything falls to shit plan".

Etho has spent basically every season since last life trying to get Bdubs to love him in peaceful seas. But for Bdubs, loyalty is tested when the storm rolls in that's when it's most important to him and that's consistently when he chooses Etho. Any other time for Bdubs is just fun and games and he can't see that the way Etho bids for his attention are Etho's lifelines. So Etho slips away when Bdubs needs him most.
