Hey I don't think I've ever seen you talk about it, but what do you think of Befriendus version of Mituna??

The only time I've ever seen the concept of Pre-Game Mituna handled well and with tact. Really adore the detail of him having Psychosis- a note which I personally feel quite enhances his character both within the works of Befriendus and within the confines of Canon- and I found his design quite fun!! Very silly, very on-brand. The Great Act of Heroism ending fucked me up. Ruined my night for sure! I wish there was more of it!!

FTF Calculations: Befriendus Mituna takes Beforus and pushes it somewhere else.

In the second bad ending for Mituna's route in Befriendus, Mituna will attempt to move Beforus in an attempt to avert the apocalypse.

Despite what I named this, he does not succeed in moving the planet to any considerable degree. What he does do is light up the entire world and make the entire planet quake, so let's calc that instead.

Now, starting with illumination. It took me fucking forever to find a formula that could properly estimate how much energy I'd need to fully illuminate a specific area, but I think I've found something that works. In order to estimate how many watts are needed to properly illuminate a provided space, home renovaters typically use the formula length x width x 1.5. So, assuming Beforus has the same dimensions as the Earth that would be 41850395.04 ft times 41711287.424 ft times 1.5. This gets us... 625 kilotons. Only Large Town.

To be fair, this is my first time calculating illumination, so cut me some slack if it's not entirely accurate. If anyone knows a better method, please tell me. I'll admit I'm still very new to the calcing game.

As for the Earthquake, the entire world is described as moving and buildings miles away are decribed as shaking. This imples that the entire world felt a Magnitude VII on the Mercalli Scale, or a magnitude 5 on the Richter. Accounting for Beforus's assumed radius of 6563 km, we get a total energy if 2.1 teratons of tnt, or Small Country Level. Much better. That is a level I am more confident in.

Sadly, this doesn't scale to anyone in canon because, well, fan game and Sollux has better feats in canon regardless, but it is a nice feat to have on hand regardless.

Illumination: 625 Kilotons (Large Town Level+)

Shaking: 2.1 Teratons (Small County Level)

I am trying to figure out how to use visual novel maker and when I thought I kne what I was doing, it throws me for a curve ball. I am trying to connect the chapter selection screen I made to the prologue ( which is connected to a chapter) for some reason, the scene change I used to connect the title screen to the chapter selection and save game file screen isn't working and I don't know how to connect the chapter select scene to the prologue. Any advise, preferably with visual examples. is there a command that is meant to be used to connect different chapters that is different from scene switch.

Sometimes I get curious about the alpha troll session, how much we don't know about and can only speculate on. I really enjoy the interpretations people come up with, the multitude of possibilities there are.

I'm especially interested in the events already talked about, I want to know exactly what happened and what caused them. There's so much left in the dark about Mituna's accident, how much of it was an accident, how much was planned.

With the ties Kurloz and Damara have to Lord English's arrival, I'm sure there was a lot of planning that went through to the other sessions.

But an Heir of Doom would've been too dangerous for their plans, able to snuff out the preparations and prepare everyone for battle before they even knew of English's existence.

He had to be stopped before that, it wasn't worth the risk.

So I wonder if Kurloz had anything to do with the actual accident, or he really was just a bystander happening to witness that fated moment.

Who knows if there really was any danger, if Mituna's incident really was something heroic that saved the others.

Or if Mituna played right into the tricks, and Kurloz only created a threat to make him and the others feel better. To give reason to his accident.

I do think he would still feel guilt about what he did, but it had to be done regardless. It's the same with Meulin, Kurloz didn't mean to cause this much damage, nor was it part of the plan. He's shrouded in mystery to the point that no one knows how he really feels, his actions don't align with his grief. It must be frustrating to know all the harm you caused to those closest to you was all in vain, that with the loss of everything you worked so hard for, you really are just a bad person at the end of the day.
