FD3S
Armed with combat aero, a beautiful form reminiscent of a shop demo car
Cowboy Wholesale Center 2-25-7 Nakakasai, Edogawa-ku, Tokyo 134 03-5658-5555
Sharp nose and wedge shape
Shaped body line. The domestic product
with elegant styling that stands out from the car.
Although the FD3S RX-7 is very popular, the price of used cars has become much more affordable due to the increase in the number of cars and the impact of new car pricing. There is also a wide selection of tuned used cars, many of which have been finished with aero parts to give them a more aggressive look, and are very popular.
The same goes for the FD introduced here. From the flashy, wide-open front bumper to the huge rear wing and wheels, everything is made of Veilside, and the hood also features a VeilSide decal. The finish is perfectly reminiscent of a shop's demo car. That's no wonder; in fact, the previous owner of this FD was a staff member from Veilside. It's a Veilside Special that can almost be called a demo car.
The engine is stock, with only the intake and exhaust system tuned and fuel control using the F-con V, but the exhaust system has been replaced, from the front pipe to the muffler, so it runs smoothly. The power at high revolutions is also increased. In addition, not only the parts themselves, but also the installation and finishing are done with great attention to detail and are of high quality.
The light-tuned specs tend to be considered unappealing in terms of driving performance when compared to more aggressively modified cars, but the completeness of the car, including the exterior, is such that it is truly a professionally finished car. . Although it is a tuned used car, it is one that you can buy with confidence.
PIC CAPTIONS
●The seat is a 4-point Recaro SP-G+ Willans made of fiberglass. Like the exterior, the interior is of high quality, and it is a machine with high cost performance.
●The suspension is equipped with Bilstein-based coilovers. The wide and low form created by the drastically lowered vehicle height and veil side aero is truly impressive.
●The engine is basically normal. Air cleaner + intercooler pipe kit, front pipe + muffler, intake and exhaust system, and F-con V light tune specification.

Nissan GT-R 50 by Italdesing (1 of 19).
The R35 Nissan GT-R reshaped the supercar world when it arrived on the scene back in 2009. Twin-turbocharged, all-wheel drive and packing a quick-shifting dual-clutch, the GT-R would become a blueprint that almost every supercar manufacturer would copy moving into the current decade. The GT-R50 first arrived as a concept vehicle back in 2018, marking the dual 50th anniversaries of the GT-R nameplate, as well as the design house Italdesign before 2019. The concept merged the R35’s technical ability with some design influences from the days gone by of the auto industry, borrowing heavily from Italy in the process. The concept was met with such excitement that Nissan actually committed to building a limited run of the cars, with production volume officially capped at 50 units. This particular example is number 11 in the run, though the listing sellers at  claim that only 19 examples were ever produced. Considering it took the automaker so long to close the order books, it is possible that demand never reached that 50-unit goal. Starting under the hood, the GT-R50 packs a modified variant of the familiar 3.8-liter VR38DETT V-6. Upgraded turbos are pulled right off the GT3 racer and combined with higher-flow injectors, larger intercoolers, and a reworked intake to provide more power. An updated crankshaft, pistons, and connecting rods bolster high-horsepower engine health. The end result is 710 hp and 585 lb-ft of torque, significantly more than the range-topping NISMO’s 600 hp and 481 lb-ft rating. Power is sent to the wheels via a reworked six-speed dual-clutch transmission, while adaptive Bilstein dampers handle the suspension duties.

The car also comes with lightweight 19-inch wheels. inside the car are Recaro sport seats, a unique gauge cluster, and a “Boss 302” logo on the steering wheel. The car also has a rear seat delete, which saves weight and improves performance. Only 750 units were produced, making this version of Mustang a surefire rarity.
1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429
The 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 is one of the original and best-performance Mustangs to be produced by Ford. Only 859 units were ever produced, mainly to celebrate the Boss 429 engine, and to win emphatically at NASCAR. The ruling from NASCAR at the time was that a performance vehicle had to produce a minimum of 500 production units for it to compete.
The Boss 429 is powered by a massive 7.0-liter V8 engine that was conservatively rated at 375 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque. In reality, the engine produced closer to 500 horsepower and was one of the most powerful engines of its time. The engine was mated to a four-speed manual transmission and a 3.91:1 rear axle ratio.
Standout features of the Boss 429 included front disc brakes, an upgraded suspension system, and a functional hood scoop directing airflow into the engine. The interior was upgraded with high-back bucket seats, a dashboard-mounted tachometer, and Hurst shifter. As expected, this model is super rare and can easily fetch six figures at auction.

I found a rare Euro spec 280SE with several unusual options including a manual transmission and orthopedic cloth seats! I pulled the manual transmission for my ‘77 280SE. I had to bomb the car with Raid for two days because it was covered in active black slip wasp nests. I also love how the green wind deflector is a perfect match for my car!
Putting a manual in Rude Benz was always a dream of mine, but the scarcity of these models in the US made it really cost prohibitive to DIY using parts from a W115 or W123. Sourcing the correct flywheel, plus fabricating a new shift linkage, transmission mount, and front driveshaft would cost more than the car! I lucked out, and I was able to nab all my essentials for under $300 at the pick and pull!
As excited as I am for this swap, you might not see this car on the road until spring. The transmission swap will coincide with a massive suspension overhaul. The plan is to drop it a little with performance lowering springs, install new components all around, including Bilsteins. I also got Euro headers, exhaust, and a new Euro bumper, since my front bumper is tweaked and the mount needs rust repair. My goal is that everything will be ready by next spring for opening weekend at Watkins Glen. Who knows, maybe I’ll finish all of it in October before the snow falls… stay tuned!

Coilover suspension: what is it and what are the benefits?
Coilover suspension: what is it and what are the benefits?
Track racing is all about maximizing performance and speed, and having a properly set up suspension system can make a significant difference in achieving those goals. One of the most popular suspension setups for track racing is the coilover suspension system. In this blog post, we’ll discuss what a coilover suspension is, the benefits of using one for track racing, and how to properly set it up for optimal performance.
What is a coilover suspension?
A coilover suspension is a type of suspension system that combines a coil spring and a shock absorber into one unit. The term “coilover” is derived from the words “coil spring” and “over shock”. The spring sits on top of the shock absorber and is held in place by a threaded collar, which allows for adjustable ride height.
Benefits of using a coilover suspension for track racing
One of the main benefits of using a coilover suspension for track racing is its adjustability. The threaded collar on the shock absorber allows for fine-tuning of the suspension to suit the specific needs of the track and the driver. This adjustability allows for changes in ride height, compression and rebound damping, and spring rates.
Another benefit of using a coilover suspension is its weight savings. Coilovers are typically lighter than traditional shock and spring setups because they eliminate the need for separate springs and shocks. This weight savings can improve the car’s handling and reduce unsprung weight, which in turn improves acceleration, braking, and cornering.
Setting up a coilover suspension for track racing
Properly setting up a coilover suspen
sion for track racing can be a complex process, but following these steps can help ensure optimal performance:
Determine your goals: Before making any adjustments to your coilover suspension, it’s important to determine your goals for track racing. Are you looking to improve lap times, reduce understeer or oversteer, or improve overall handling? Understanding your goals will help you make informed adjustments to the suspension.
2.Adjust ride height: Adjusting ride height is the first step in setting up a coilover suspension. Lowering the car’s center of gravity can improve handling, but it’s important not to lower the car too much, as it can result in ground clearance issues.
3.Adjust dampening: Compression and rebound dampening are two settings that can be adjusted on a coilover suspension. Compression damping controls the rate at which the suspension compresses, while rebound damping controls the rate at which the suspension rebounds. Adjusting these settings can help improve handling and reduce body roll.
4.Adjust spring rates: Spring rates determine how stiff the suspension is. Stiffer springs can improve handling and reduce body roll, but they can also result in a harsh ride. Softer springs can provide a more comfortable ride, but can also result in increased body roll.
5.Test and adjust: After making adjustments to your coilover suspension, it’s important to test the car on the track and make any necessary adjustments. It may take several iterations of adjusting and testing before you achieve the desired performance.
Conclusion
Coilover suspensions are a popular choice for track racers because of their adjustability and weight savings. Setting up a coilover suspension for track racing can be a complex process, but following the steps outlined in this blog post can help ensure optimal performance. Remember to take your time, test and adjust, and always prioritize safety on the track.
What are some of the best brands?
KW Suspension: KW Suspension is a well-respected suspension brand that offers a wide range of coilover kits for various makes and models. Their products are known for their high-quality construction and excellent adjustability.
2.Bilstein: Bilstein is another popular brand in the suspension world, known for their high-performance shock absorbers and coilover kits. They offer a range of kits for various applications, including track racing.
3.HKS: HKS is a Japanese company that has been producing high-performance automotive parts since the 1970s. They offer a range of coilover kits for various makes and models, including some specifically designed for track use.
4.Ohlins: Ohlins is a Swedish company that produces some of the highest quality suspension components in the world. They offer a range of coilover kits for track racing, with their products being used by some of the top race teams in various motorsports.
5.Tein: Tein is a Japanese company that produces high-performance suspension components for a range of applications, including track racing. Their coilover kits are known for their adjustability and durability.
6.It’s important to note that the best coilover for track racing will vary depending on the specific make and model of your car, as well as your specific goals and needs. It’s always best to do thorough research and consult with a professional to determine which coilover kit is best for your application.

The Wildtrak is an upper-level desert-running setup, complete with 35-inch all-terrain tires, electronically locking front and rear differentials, a lifted suspension with upgraded Bilstein dampers, and seven G.O.A.T drive modes including a Baja setting. Ticking the Wildtrak box also mandates the optional 330-hp twin-turbo 2.7-liter V-6, 10-speed gearbox, a four-wheel-drive system with a full-time Auto 4HI mode, and a shorter final-drive ratio. Those seeking additional mud-bogging capability can check out the new four-door-only Everglades model, which also includes the Sasquatch package yet only comes with the base 300-hp 2.3-liter turbo-four. Likewise, you can spec a manual Sasquatch setup in the Badlands model but only when paired with the smaller engine. The Wildtrak posted a virtually identical 60-mph run (6.2 seconds), quarter-mile pass (15.0 seconds at 92 mph), and modest lateral-grip figure (0.71 g) as did that earlier First Edition. While it did stop from 70 mph in eight fewer feet, at 189, that's the same distance that the 254-pound-lighter Outer Banks model needed. Given that less-powerful version also was just 0.3-second slower to 60 mph, there's less of a performance difference between the Bronco's various trims than you might think. The 550 horsepower specification emphasizes durability and is ideal for fully tuned basses!
Blast Tuning continues to build fast cars in the Tokai region, a fiercely competitive area. The tuned car that our sister shop, Used Car Blast, recommends is this 1993 GT-R.
This blast-tuned car is equipped with a Nismo turbine, strengthened actuator, high cam, and more, and its displacement has been increased to 2.7L. The power output is 550 horsepower with a boost of 12 kg/m2. Even now, it has been designed to be extremely fast. Moreover, the engine itself is packed with the know-how that Blast has cultivated over the years, so there is still plenty of room for durability.
Tuning with normal engine
When doing so, the bottleneck is always the lack of durability of the oil pump and valve guide. Trouble always occurs when the engine is rotated over 8,000 rpm and blows out, but this engine has been completely replaced with a stronger one. Big turbos such as T88 can handle over 600 horsepower.
It is perfect for hard tuned base cars.
When I actually test drove it, I felt that the displacement was increased.
It takes full advantage of the benefits of the motor, and rotates smoothly from low to high speeds. Although it is equipped with a high cam and large-capacity injector, the idling is stable, and with this good finish, you can even use it for commuting once you get used to the OS twin plate.
It's very natural.
The price is now 3.48 million yen. base car
There is nothing better for both.
PIC CAPTIONS
●The main injector has been replaced with a 720cc large-capacity type, and the ground level has been adjusted using a blast original computer. The engine room looks normal.
●The glove box houses the oil pressure gauge, exhaust temperature gauge, boost gauge, and EVC. The interior is very clean as it is a 1993 model. There is no sagging of the seat at all.
●A Nismo bumper is installed at the front, and an HKS legal intercooler is installed inside it. It comes with 17-inch PanaSports wheels. There's still plenty of tires left.

Mercedes-Benz SL AMG 5.0  (1 of 8)
Since inception in 1971, it was clear that the R107 series of convertibles was less the exhilarating “super leicht”—super light— performance machine the original SL was and more a beautifully engineered luxury coupe. Even the V-8 models were relatively underpowered, fitted exclusively with automatic transmissions, and rode upon a compliant suspension that emphasized luxurious cruising. In this regard, the independent tuning firm AMG, based in Affalterbach, Germany, saw a massive business opportunity. For a privileged clientele with unbounded checkbooks, AMG—which remained independent until Mercedes-Benz acquired a 50-percent stake in 1999 and then fully subsumed it in 2005—would entirely transform the SL into a true sports roadster with greatly improved power, handling, aerodynamics, and a full suite of attention-grabbing cosmetic accoutrements. Each car specified by an AMG customer was bespoke, replete with à-la-carte options offered from the company’s wide-ranging catalogue.
This 500 SL is the first of eight examples equipped with a five-speed manual transmission reportedly built by AMG for North American customers between 1982 and 1987.
A pair of ported and polished cylinder heads, which house solid mechanical intake valve lifters, and a set of AMG camshafts are the pièces de résistances among its desirable AMG-engineered performance upgrades. This top-end power kit is complemented by a modified air-intake assembly, and custom exhaust system which altogether help this 5.0-liter engine produce a conservatively rated 276 horsepower and achieve a top speed above 155 mph. Considering that the most powerful SL available to a US buyer in 1982 used a 3.8-liter V-8 that produced a mere 204 horsepower and had a top speed of 133 mph, this SL 500 AMG 5.0 is truly a mechanical marvel by comparison.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a close-ratio five-speed manual transmission from Getrag and a limited-slip differential, which sits upon a unique 3.46:1 rear axle. Close inspection reveals that AMG technicians cleverly repurposed the car’s original bellhousing to unite the Getrag transmission with the engine. A full “Bilstein for AMG” suspension and color-matched 16-inch BBS alloy wheels wrapped in Kumho tires provide more agile handling dynamics and a pleasingly aggressive stance.
The interior is a rather subtle affair by AMG standards, though a handsome pair of Recaro Ideal seats wearing Palomino leather helps convey the high-performance potential. The shift boot and steering wheel have been similarly upholstered, uniting a pleasant aesthetic highlighted by rich zebrano wood trim and AMG’s signature 300-km/h speedometer.
