36. How is their family life?

Damian’s relationships with his family are,,, rocky at least, horrible at best. he was a affair child, which already starts his life off as less than desirable, on top of that hes mutated which makes him the scum of the earth to everyone hes around as a child. jupiter was the only real nice sibling he had, and since jupiter cared about him (as much as he could, with his upbringing) sycamore also began to care about him. when they could, they tried to teach him nymph magic, or in general plant based magic, but sadly, he mostly succeeded with lightning and ice magic, so the most he was able to do was grow one singly lily, when it was fully grown he was so excited to show his mom and brother.leo treated him as a pet at best, and literal dirt at worst, since hes very much a daddys boy. he would most times favor jupiter and sycamore, and would treat him nicely in front of those two to gain their favor.when angelica was born, damian wanted to be close with her, because he was a big brother!! holy shit!!!! but when she grew up enough, she treated him worse than leo, and even coerced leo into treating him like even less than dirt. soon, angelica’s mother threatened sycamore, leo and jupiters lives, and to save her children, sycamore faked her death. not long after angelica got a hang of manipulation and illusion magic and warped leo’s perception of reality and his emotions surrounding damian and jupiter, urging him to send them away. at about 27, leo sent jupiter and damian to the breeding grounds, to rot. after such events, damian and jupiter became close, to try and survive, but that was ruined at about 18, four years after he got sent there, damian got summoned by a kitchen witch, which left jupiter down there to be abused, alone.leos relationships with his family are iffy, because hes close with angelica, but not because he really genuinely cares about her. and hes gotten rid of any relations to anyone else in his family, and his father has grown distant from him in his eyes. his relationship with eldur is very far from healthy, consensual, or even nice.

jupiter was unbelievably close with leo in the first 18 years of their life, then leo started being more and more distant, trying to be better for their dad, to appeal to him so he could be next in line for head of house, and when angelica came around, it only got worse. until they hit 24, leo had never actually laid a hand on him, but that doesnt mean he hasent been plenty abusive verbally. not long after, at 26, sexual abuse happened and,,, ye a h jupiter’s relations with leo and angelica are… far from good. his relations with damian got scarily close when they got thrown into the breeding grounds, nearly the closeness he had with leo in their early lives, but that basically got shattered out of misunderstanding of what happened. he though damian had left him down there, while he escaped, which is not what happened, in fact, when damian met up with hazel, he tried to get down there to get jupiter himself, bring him home to someone damian considered a friend, but by that point jupiter had already gotten himself out as well.

angelica could not give .05 shits about anyone shes around. she had actually planned to kill leo the second he appointed her second in command, so she could become the head of the house.

eldur has no memory or idea damian exists, as he had been told the entire time he was under the care of leo and angelica that he was long dead. he hates leo, but cant stand the thought of being without him, seeing as hes very, very dependent on him
