The more complex the society we live in, the more we need to exercise the art of selectivity.

Dear Lord, help me to become more selective about the music I listen to, the movies and TV programs I watch and the people I allow to influence my life.

Holy Spirit, empower me to be more selective about where I invest my time, money, energy and other resources.

I want to work with eager hands --to be diligent and not self indulgent. In particular, I recognize the need to be less self-indulgent of my taste buds and far more selective about the food I put into my mouth and on my table. Everything matters to you, and I want to please you in all things. Help me to provide for the basic needs of my family and others who rely on me for guidance.

No other test I took in college changed my life like the MBTI personality test. I was just chatting with a friend today about how we both first took the MBTI during our college years. We both found it so freeing to discover that we are wired this way. And that’s okay. Other people are, too.

Not my husband, though.

One of the first questions I asked my husband after we met was whether he’d taken the MBTI. I confess, I was curious if we might be the same personality. But nope. I am an INFJ. He is an ISTJ. When I learned that, I immediately started researching and reading whatever I could find not only about his personality, but how his personality functions with mine. What I discovered: we are definitely not the same.
