"Were you now?" Alex' lips are curved into a SMILE as he leans against the door frame, watching Henry for just a moment. There had been a parent-teacher conference, which both Alex and Nora had been able to attend for a change, and Nora had taken Ella home for the weekend to spend some time with her, giving Alex enough time to wait for Henry to be done.

Admittedly, it had been HARD to focus on anything Henry had been saying, because he's missed him, too, and all he'd been able to think about had been kissing the other man. Still, he feels a warmth spread through his chest, even now still, at how much Henry seems to love his job, and how well he takes to dealing with the parents, too, not just the kids.

"Luckily for you, I'm all YOURS now," He pushes himself away from the door frame and steps into the classroom, leaning in for a quick kiss. "Do you want to go to dinner? Or we could pick something up if you're too tired,"

Getting hit in the head by a SWING decidedly wasn't on Alex' list of things to happen to him on a daily basis, not even when he had agreed to be a chaperone for the field day at his daughter's school. It hadn't exactly knocked him out, but he had stumbled for a bit and ended up having to sit down, just in case.

They had allowed the kids to still play for a bit until their parents were due to pick them up, and Henry's colleagues had agreed to watch them while Henry had taken him inside to get an ice pack.

"Not the quiet time with you i was HOPING for," He jokes, taking the ice pack off his face for a moment, realizing that Henry is much, MUCH closer than he had anticipated. Falling for his daughter's teacher has also not been on Alex' list of things to happen to him, but here they are, and his heart is pounding a little too fast inside his chest.

He reaches up to catch Henry's hand, intended to check out the clearly blossoming bruise on the right side of his face, and for a moment, the world seems to SLOW DOWN around them. And Alex? Well he's always been a man of action, so he does the only logical thing, which is to lean in and capture Henry's lips with his own, like he's been thinking of doing for weeks at this point, hoping he hadn't been reading this thing between them wrong.
