Ik I went on a wild tag ramble abt it already (screenshots on that post for context of where I’m coming from and my tags below)

but stillllll thinking abt the preview for next weeks tmmn ep. woke up immediately thinking abt it. And I have more to add on.

from what I can see of the outfit it’s….like. WILDLY different from 1. Our modern alien’s outfits (which, ok I have thoughts on those vs ancient aliens clothes but assumedly it’s been thousands of years so time and a different environment and struggling to survive changes fashion. Whatever it’s fine I’ll save that for another post) in the original series the ancient aliens clothes were very very Greco-roman!!!! But this mystery person has a very princess/royalty silhouette that doesn’t necessarily fit that description. The colors are suitable for what we see in those screenshots (very light colors, dark colors or brights used as accents) but for all I know, new changed what all of the ancient aliens wore!!! It’s really hard to speculate if it’s comparably fancy when there’s no other ancient ppl in the single shot we got. Also if it turns out she is royalty like I suspect based on how elaborate the clothing looks, will we get insights into how the aliens society functions?? Or used to? (How would an assumedly important princess figure get left behind if that’s what’s happening??)

As for Why Lettuce is the one seeing this stuff…she’s both the most sensitive in the group with her compassionate attitude towards the aliens AND her association with water (mew aqua-> magic sometimes crystalline water) mew aqua feels like it has a will and is actively choosing to let her see.

And!! The possibility it does tie to the little mermaid story based on the title!!!!! Which is my favorite fairytale…(and very sad/bittersweet!!!) Can it be next week already 😭
