ah i want that to happen for you!! i believe in you!!! but those are all bops!! would love to see a live concert with all of those songs! and 100% agree jatp songs should be there lol okay so what are some of your favorite dynamics from disney channel shows or movies? -gcwca secret santa
ooooh!!!! this is such a fun question
the rotten four bc any way you break it down it's fascinating whether you ship them together (i do) or not (i also don't). i am full of many layers, much like an onion. particular huge shoutout to jal (i have many thoughts about jal both platonically and romantically and if i wrote them all out it would be an entire essay).
mack/lela!!! bc like. mack thinks lela is so Like That(tm) but then realizes lela is like, an actualized person! who is her own actual person! and lela realizes that about herself too!!!
cyd/shelby bc they're just sOOOOOOOOO. i cannot express how i feel about them in words. or gifs bc i can't find an hq download. what if we had the power to time travel while we were touching each other and thinking about another time but also we were both girls 👉👈🥺
barry/naldo bc like. barry knows about science and other traditionally "smart" things but naldo knows about people and they complete each other.
amy and jake from villains of valley view bc they love each other SO much but they're also siblings who sometimes want to kill each other.
harry/uma bc like. they had the MOST chemistry. and i think that's compelling. he would do anything for her and tell me that's not the most romantic thing a man has ever done on the disney channel. big gomez addams “i would die for her. i would kill for her. either way what bliss” energy of him.
audrey and jay but specifically the version of them that i made up in my head that's like ‘we made out a few times at parties but now we're besties about it’. lesbian and her emotional support himbo energy (jay isn't a himbo but that's the best way i can think of to simplify that dynamic)
not supported in canon at all i believe but everything natasha does with nate and mitchie in her camp rock fics fascinates and compels me. i need to watch camp rock again and it's all bc of their fics
the hero/villain kid pairings in descendants. not even as ships i just think i want all of them to meet and talk it out. god i think about that fic i did of amber and carlos SO much and the wip one of melody and uma. curses and hexes on disney for giving uma a sibling and killing her only child complex that i write her with 💔😔
i feel like i'm forgetting some really fun ones i like a lot but. this is all i can think of off the top of my head rn
what are ur favorite dynamics 🤨

🖋🖋 + Jestiny
🖋🖋 + Jenna
🖋🖋 + Lela
🖋🖋 + Meredith
AMANDA love you for the full clear <333
JESTINY
🖊 besides cop, jessie’s least favorite job she ever worked was mail carrier. she liked the work itself just fine — driving around, often on remote back roads, just tossing boxes on people’s porches and shoving envelopes in their mailbox. but she had to get up so goddamn early, and sometimes people would be up to greet her when she dropped shit off. nightmare.
🖊 prior to fucking stabbing herself in the stomach, the worst injury jessie ever suffered was breaking her little toe on a hike. she’s gotten lots of stray scrapes, bruises, and sprains, but before the reaping she’s mostly squeaked by without many serious injuries.
JENNA
🖊 jenna not so secretly has a reservoir of pop culture knowledge. side effect of being an anthropologist, thinks it’s interesting what society finds interesting, regardless of inherent artistic value. this plus the obscure scientific knowledge makes jenna the best person to have on your team for trivia night.
🖊 jenna actually intends once she’s at the end of her life (if she dies in such a way she can know ahead of time it’s imminent) to become an angel herself. after creating so many and studying the effects, and having more restrained tastes of bliss herself, she would like to experience the process firsthand, once it won’t matter that she can’t come back from it.
LELA
🖊 lela’s favorite activity is swimming. she was competitive before getting sick, and her biggest claim to fame pre eden’s gate was almost making it to the olympics one year. she now loves taking her judge wolves out for swims in the summer.
🖊 john is lela’s least favorite of the seeds, by far. she secretly hopes he won’t survive the culling. she still steals his luxury bath products from time to time though, it’s the one cushy indulgence she misses. she supposes she’ll mourn him for that.
MEREDITH
🖊 as the first of their biological kids, meredith is much more readily recognized by folks as john and jessie’s spawn than her older siblings. as a result, she considers herself the “diplomatic face” of her family to prosperity, and of prosperity to the world.
🖊 meredith strongly believes the hideous remnants of her disgraced uncle’s vainglorious self tribute in cheap plaster should finally be torn down entirely. and preferably replaced with her own likeness — or dolly parton’s, as a present to mumsy.

DREAM GIRL
June 23, 1947
Tumblr media
On this date in 1947, Lucille Ball opened in DREAM GIRL, produced at McCarter Theatre, Princeton, New Jersey for the Princeton Festival.  The comedy had originally opened on Broadway on December 14, 1945, starring Betty Field and written and directed by Elmer Rice (then married to Ms. Field).
In 1937, Lucille Ball had performed on the McCarter Stage in the play HEY DIDDLE DIDDLE opposite Conway Tearle. The play launched a short tour headed to Broadway, but Tearle’s illness forced it to close in Washington DC, postponing Lucille’s Broadway debut. That would have to wait until 1960′s Wildcat.
Tumblr media
Lucille Ball was the Queen of Comedy long before television. In this DREAM GIRL program bio, she continues the fib that she was born in Butte, Montana, finding it more exotic than Jamestown, NY.
Ball played the role of Georgina Allerton, a daydreaming bookshop owner. Subsequently, she toured the show, playing Boston, Detroit, Toronto, San Francisco, Oakland, Brooklyn, and the Bronx.
SYNOPSIS ~ Twenty-two year-old debutante Georgina is the owner of a small unsuccessful bookstore. She also writes novels. She has an overactive imagination and regularly escapes reality by means of her romantic daydreams about three men in her life, which are acted out on stage. The play's time span covers a single day of Georgina's life, during which several successive extravagant and often comic daydreams are portrayed.
Tumblr media
The play’s fantasy sequences seemed tailor-made for Ball’s style and comic wit. In a way, Georgina was a prelude to the “Lucy” character on TV, who is dreaming her way out of her suburban life - and sometimes succeeding. In the play, Georgina’s imagination takes her to:
Tumblr media
A balcony in Mexico...
Tumblr media
The maternity ward of a hospital...
Tumblr media
A stage where she plays Shakespeare’s Portia
Tumblr media
A street where she is a ‘woman of the night’ in a scarlet red dress.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On two notable occasions, Lucy Ricardo’s fantasy or dream life manifested itself on our TV screens. In “Ricky’s Old Girlfriend” (ILL S3;E12) Lucy dreams of what her life would be like if Ricky left her to go on tour with his former partner, sexy Carlotta Romero.
Tumblr media
In “Lucy Goes To Scotland” (ILL S5;E17) Lucy dreams of visiting her ancestral home in Scotland while visiting London.  Having just come from seeing a West End Musical, she dreams in the musical comedy format!
Tumblr media
In “Lucy and the Dummy” (ILL S5;E3), after MGM offers Lucy a contract, she imagines fame and fortune but is fully awake. Lucille Ball pantomimes the joys and sorrows of stardom while a Theremin gives the sequence a dream-like, surreal quality. Lucy Ricardo is most like DREAM GIRL’s Georgina in this short reverie.
Tumblr media
In “Lucy and the Monsters” (TLS S3;E18), Lucy Carmichael has a nightmare  after watching a scary horror movie. The dream takes her and Viv to a haunted house where they encounter a variety of typical movie monsters and then turn into witches themselves - all before waking up.
DREAM GIRL CAST & CREW
Tumblr media
Herbert Kenwith (Producer) later directed 14 episodes of “Here’s Lucy” between 1969 and 1970. Dede Ball warned Kenwith that her daughter was indeed the bitch everyone said she was. Lucille snapped back: “I am not! Only when I’m working.”
Jack Benny (to Herbert Kenwith, about Lucy): "Herbert, you ought to call a psychiatrist for her."
Jus Addiss (Director) was the life partner of DREAM GIRL actor Hayden Rorke. Barbara Eden (who, like Rorke, also guest-starred on “I Love Lucy”) later remembered that Addiss and Rorke were “unabashedly gay” and often invited the “I Dream of Jeannie” cast over for parties.
Jo Mielziner (Settings) had also done the scenery for the Broadway premiere of DREAM GIRL in 1945. From 1949 to 1970 Mielziner won 9 Tony Awards. His designs were adapted by Richard Burns for the tour starring Ball.
Tumblr media
The play co-starred Scott McKay as the imaginative writer. McKay played the role of Wilbur in the 1958 pilot for TV’s “Mr. Ed” but was replaced on the series by Alan Young.
Tumblr media
Hayden Rorke, best known as Dr. Bellows in “I Dream of Jeannie”, was also in the cast. Lucy later employed him to play the Ricardo’s new neighbor, whom she suspects to be a spy, on “I Love Lucy.”  He later returned to play a judge on a 1971 episode of “Here’s Lucy.”
Tumblr media
Barbara Morrison was an English-born actress who came to Hollywood in the late 1940s. She did two episodes of “The Lucy Show” and three episodes of “Here’s Lucy.”
Lela Bliss went on to play Mrs. Shellhammer in the 1947 film Miracle on 34th Street, which also starred William Frawley.
Andrew Duggan later did an episode of Desilu’s TV series “The Greatest Show on Earth” (1964). He is best remembered as the voice of the Father in Disney’s theme park attraction The Carousel of Progress.
Phil Arthur appeared on Broadway from 1948 to 1952, his last play with Henry Fonda (Lucy’s one-time boyfriend) and Frances Baviar (Aunt Bee on “The Andy Griffith Show”). He began on television in 1949 and his last job on the small screen was as a background player on “Perry Mason” from 1961 to 1966.
Dorothy Elder began doing television in 1950, but her career only lasted until 1955, as a regular on “True Romances”.
Tumblr media
Alan Hewitt  was a veteran of sixteen Broadway shows, including the original production of Death of a Salesman (1949) and Call Me Madam starring Ethel Merman (1950). From 1964 to 1966 he played Detective Brennan on “My Favorite Martian.” In 1964, he appeared on an episode of “The Lucy Show.”
Tumblr media
The Newark Star-Ledger review of DREAM GIRL, June 24, 1947. [Thanks to Eric C. Schwarz, research librarian extraordinaire, for the review.]
POST PRINCETON!
Tumblr media
In January 1948, Lucille got the opportunity to recreate the role in Los Angeles, but fell ill with a virus shortly after it opened and the show closed prematurely. Because Ball was known for her film roles, promotion often said that she was appearing “Live In Person” - which seems obvious in a live theatre production!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Handbill for the Los Angeles production that was cut short by Ball’s illness. Lela Bliss took over for Barbara Morrison.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Souvenir program from the Brooklyn engagement at Brandt’s Flatbush Theatre in July 1947. It includes an excerpt from a write-up by Hall Barnell for Actors Cues about the rehearsal he attended at Malin Studios and a sketch of Ball from that day.
Tumblr media
Detroit Music Hall - signed program.
Tumblr media
Boston Production at the historic Shubert Theatre - signed program.
Tumblr media
San Francisco production at the Curran Theatre.
Tumblr media
During this San Francisco engagement, Ball’s husband was not far away!  Five blocks, to be exact. It is likely that Lucy and Desi stayed at the Palace Hotel while she was performing at the Curran. It is also likely that Desi’s performances were in lieu of a hotel bill for the couple!
Tumblr media
"I have seen other productions of this play, but the only actress whose performance really delighted me was Lucille Ball. She lacked… tender wistfulness, but her vivid personality and expert timing kept the play bright and alive." ~ Edgar Rice, Playwright
Tumblr media
It is pretty clear that this photo was an early version of photo shop. Although it was created during the time of the play, it is quite obviously a manipulated photo.
Tumblr media
In August 1947, the show had finally reached what was known as “the subway circuit” - a group of New York City borough theatres that were not considered Broadway. Meanwhile, in Princeton, the summer season continued with yet another show produced by Kenwith and Kennedy, “Horace”.  The Billboard review of August 30 was of the opinion that Lucille Ball was simply playing Lucille Ball, and that audiences were okay with that.
Tumblr media
This sterling silver cigarette case was a gift to Lucy from the DREAM GIRL company and is engraved on the front: "With Grateful appreciation TO OUR 'DREAM GIRL' December 1947." The lid has the engraved signatures of the company, 17 in all, including actors Scott McKay, Guy Standing, and Andy Duggan. The item came up for auction after the death of Gary Morton.
Tumblr media
While Lucy and the DREAM GIRL company were touring, they knew that a film adaption had been made and was awaiting release. It starred Betty Hutton and MacDonald Carey, but did not open to the public till later in 1948. Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz took a chance on Hutton in 1959, giving her a CBS sitcom “The Betty Hutton Show” which ended after 30 episodes.
Tumblr media
In 1955, while Lucille Ball was busy with “I Love Lucy,” NBC made DREAM GIRL into a TV film starring Vivian Blaine. It featured “Lucy” character actors Hal March and Ida Moore.
Tumblr media
Ten years later, it was turned into a Broadway musical named Skyscraper, with the play adapted by Peter Stone (”1776″) and starred Julie Harris in her first musical. It earned five Tony nominations. Charles Nelson Reilly guest-starred on “Here’s Lucy” in 1970. Peter Marshall played Lucy’s brother-in-law Hughie on “The Lucy Show” in 1963.  Choreographer Michael Kidd also did the dances for Wildcat starring Lucille Ball in 1960.

Flying Away Lilith Lela Samniashvili (translated by Alexandra Büchler, Nia Davies, Adham Smart, Stephen Watts, Angela Jarman and Davit Gabunia in Six Georgian Poets)
Camera around the neck, its bright barrel Doesn’t kill, just stuns.
If you’d had it with you in that garden of biblical bliss, maybe you’d have captured some pictures.
But now you can only sift through clues of a past that has no imprint.
You can only layer fairytales with myths, myths with poems, in order to capture reflections’ reflections.
You can’t think of a reason to leave or stay. There’s nothing there to put your finger on, or to show to others.
There was Adam. There was Eve. There was a snake. As for you – you could just go in all four directions, anywhere, to the devil, for all anyone cared.
And the same questions remain. If this is a house why don’t these walls have a roof?
This is how it was decided – survival’s impossible for her, the one who ate worm-riddled apples Even before the worm of a snake slithered into paradise.
She would take a bite, hide her eyes among the leaves and suck the words one by one from the funnel of the sky.
She’d look down on the garden, a labyrinth which once had a roof - but off it flew. - გაფრენა. ლილიტი
კისერზე - ფოტოაპარატი - ჭკვიანი ლულა - არ კლავს, აშეშებს;

I would happily have watched a whole season of Mindy and Danny and their domestic un-bliss and Mindy’s “Stay at Home MILF” wardrobe! Here’s her black and turquoise floral print dress from Monday and you can see what she wore on Wednesday and Thursday here. It's an enduring sadness that we shall never know what she wore on Tuesday.
Lela Rose Sleeveless Floral Print Satin Sheath Dress
Mindy’s dress has had the neckline altered and has been shortened. But if we’ve learned anything from watching The Mindy Project, it’s that tailoring is everything!

Now Nicole Murphy Says She's 'Sorry' For Kissing Married Director Antoine Fuqua, Claims She Thought He & Lela Rochon Were Divorced
Tumblr media
Sounds to us like you're a "family friend" who knows nothing about the family of your "friend."  Nicole Murphy is switching up her explanation about her make out session with the very married Antoine Fuqua.  Decide if you believe her this time inside.
The Italian smooch heard around the world just got even louder.  After Nicole Murphy and married blockbuster movie director Antoine Fuqua were spotted looking like they were in post coital bliss a few days ago in Italy, the "Hollywood Exes" star is apologizing.  Oddly, Antoine hasn't said a word.
Initially, the 51-year-old ex-wife of Eddie Murphy said THESE KISSES were nothing but her saying"Hello" to a good family friend she ran into...in a towel...in a random city in Italy...during a movie festival...and she's not an actress.
Tumblr media
Now, she tells TMZ she is sorry.  Nicole issued an apology to Antoine's wife of 20 years, Lela Rochon, who quickly deleted all of her social media accounts right after the pictures hit the net.  Nicole says she thought he was divorced.
... "Without going into the entire situation, I want to apologize to my family, and to Lela and the Fuqua family for what transpired."
Nicole goes on to explain, "It was not my intention to be in this situation. I do not condone women kissing or interacting in anyway inappropriately with a married man. I too was once married and I would never intentionally undermine another woman, despite what has been written."
As for why Nicole kissed Fuqua, who's been married to actress Lela Rochon since 1999 ... we're told she thought the status of their relationship was ... over.
Sources tell us, Nicole was under the impression that Antoine was divorced, and that's why she engaged with him the way she did. We're told she feels terrible about this and hopes folks can forgive her for the mistake.
Hmmm.  While men can be notorious for that "Me and her ain't together anymore" line to get what they want out of a new chick, we're not totally convinced - yet - if he told Nicole this.  Or if both she and he simply did whatever they felt like doing together despite there clearly being a marriage involved.
Still, we're confused about why Nicole is the only one apologizing here.  The one who took vows - Antoine Fuqua - is oddly silent.  So Nicole is left out here flailing by herself.  That silence speaks loudly in itself.

San Francisco, CA Indian Fusion Wedding by IKHANIC Productions
Maharanis, how exciting! Today an elegant fusion wedding in San Francisco! IKHANIC Productions was the genius behind the camera and had the honor of documenting all the love and bliss of Jocelyn and Anup’s special day. The entire day was incredibly special and started with the auspicious beauty rituals. Maharani Jocelyn was dolled up and pampered by Beauty by Lela and went for an elaborate floral mehndi design by Maaz Henna Creations to match her equally intricate embroidered Lehenga set! Every queen needs a king and this lovely bride’s Raja, Anup, had a royal king look in a white Sherwani and filled with elegance his trousseau with a red beaded layered necklace. I’m head over heels with every extraordinary fashion detail! As these two get ready to reveal their looks in the most breathtaking ceremony visit the complete gallery for an exclusive look and more serious inspiration! http://dlvr.it/Qxy5z1

Howdy so, I answered your ask and then this totally functional website deleted it when I clicked post :) :) :)
But I was going to say that yes, Cooper is frustrating for the cult leadership (Lela is like a Cult VIP right?). It's hard to convince your followers that this guy is the antichrist or whatever, especially when he leaves most of them alive (injured yes, but not dead). Cooper *can* get mad though, and can be very scary then, if you figure out how to provoke him enough and I think Lela probably could. Also is she the one with the chronic illnesses and stuff? If so, although Cooper wouldn't necessarily *like* her, he would probably feel sorry for her and maybe understand a little better why she is in the cult. Also if Lela is sad about Coop being so merciful with his strength well.......there's always CultCooper AU ;)
oh god yeah ive 100% done that before functional website is real..... and yes lela is a chosen with in remission chronic illnesses who has completely bought into the "recovered because im chosen and stronger sacrifice the weak baby!!" mindset so cooper is definitely like, an ideological affront to her by being strong and using it to protect people and sparing his enemies. also now that i think about it, bliss resistance is probably annoying to her too. (assuming he's also resistant to jacob's formula.) probably also views him as a lot of wasted potential, could've been a great chosen :( (and maybe so in cult au)
