Darkiplier’s Diner set to close: The last performance

Darkiplier’s Diner, a beloved family-owned establishment, is set to close it’s doors on June 8th, 1984.

Darkiplier’s Diner, which had it’s start in 1978 and featured three animatronics, will be set to close it’s doors on June 8th, 1984. While the reasons remain unconfirmed, it’s hard to deny that the place wasn’t exactly up to code. Still, it’s with a heavy heart that we wave farewell.

We’ve already said our goodbyes to two of the three main cast animatronics. The Colonel, who was shutdown in May, and The Author who was shutdown earlier in the same month. Now it’s time to part with Darkiplier himself. He’ll perform one last song tomorrow at noon before being retired for the remaining month the establishment will run. Then, on June 8th, the doors will remain closed for the foreseeable future.

While some cling to the hope of a possible reimagined establishment opening at a later date, nothing has been confirmed from the owner. We reached out to Marcus Millie Moronson for any sort of update on the situation, but have received no word back on the matter.

As of now, we have no reason to believe in any sort of reopening at this location. If you miss the performance tomorrow, they will be taping it to play during the remaining open days. We must encourage you to get your tickets and see Darkiplier perform in person tomorrow though, as it is not the same.
