Someone... what year is it? Who am I? What am I?
I'm extremely hungover, and it hurts to think.

(starting off the new scene) There is a knock on the door of Owen's quarters, roughly six hours after he spoke last with Savannah - and roughly two hours since the news had blown up that she was in fact Savannah Cameron, last living heir to the Star League dynasty. And now, the tall, buxom, and very fluffy last Cameron was knocking on Owen's door, asking to be let in. "Owen? It's Savannah. I'd like to talk." ( @is-the-battlemech-cool-or-not )
Owen looks up from the mostly disassembled pistol on his desk. On the floor, Loki raises his head and begins to wag his tail.
"Thought you'd be coming by." he mutters to himself.
"Door's unlocked" he says, louder.
His quarters are fairly cluttered, all things considered. Lots of knick-knacs from around the inner sphere and beyond, a lovingly constructed and painted model of a MAD-3R Marauder, various assorted medals from various houses, militaries, etc...including one from the Star League line the shelves, a bottle of some expensive whiskey peeks from between a few books, label obscured, and the floor is mostly taken up by Loki, Loki's bed, and a handful of toys for the massive dog.
Owen returns most of his attention to tweaking his Sternsnacht pistol, on his desk, easily the neatest part of his room.
"So, to what do I owe the pleasure, Ms. Caruso?"
"Or should I address you as Lady Cameron now?"

You know, when I hired Sigrid on I was worried for a moment that we'd clash a bit in our maintenance styles. She seemed pretty by-the-book when I went over her resume, anyways, and, ah...those of you that know me know that I'm a bit unconventional sometimes.
But! Turns out, get two technicians working on the same machine and after a little while they're both using the same zipties. We'll make a great team after all.
I feel like there's a metaphor there...eh, probably not.

Star general I dont know how practical or easy it would be for the blakeists to transport or create rattlers but it bears being cautious jsut in case they still have some of those mobile fortress in stock. (Send from @freelance-belter-catgirl )
It would be prudent to assume they have them, indeed.

Sigrid walks into the workspace at a faster speed than she usually moves. "Boss, everything okay? It sounded like a scream and--" She trails off as she takes a look at the situation, the other MechTech holding a rag to her head and the impact area on the work surface "Karrie!", concern in her voice as she rushes over, almost sprinting the last few steps. "What happened, are you hurt? Is that a shop rag?" She guides her fellow MechTech to a chair so she can sit down.
"Don't use a shop rag to stop bleeding. Yes I know you're my boss, but please... Here, I keep a first aid kit on me."
She takes a clean bandage from her kit and hands it to Karrie. "I know we keep a clean shop, but this isn't safe..."

Eliza glanced at the date as she woke up, blinking sleep from her eyes.
0923, 28 April.
"Two days," she whispered.
She slipped out of her bed and changed into her 'work outfit'; really, just some variation of loose leather jacket, usually worn barely zipped up, and a pair of tight black heat-dissipating pants, then made her way down to the bottom floor of her building--more commonly known as the LosMech. With a snap, she turned the sign from Closed to Open and began wiping down tables while the rest of her staff woke up and filtered in.
The date rang in her head.
Two days. Two days until 1 May.
Great Father forgive us.

An Open Letter to All Mercenaries at Islington Station:
If you were involved in the rumored card game last night and Chang cleaned you out, I will not be reimbursing you for your stupidity.
You're the one who bet against a human supercomputer. You can live with the consequences of that decision.

Gotten a bit behind on sharing my mechs, haven't I?
Well, here's what I've gotten done in the last month. Been doing some stylistic experiments. You might be seeing more matte colored mechs with edge highlighting soon. As much as I love my metallicsI do adore how this stone rhino came out.
