started reading 詭行天下 (strange tales under heaven, i suppose?) and because it requires V on jjwxc i expected serious wuxia

but instead i’m getting blatantly tropey, shippy mouse+cat, where we lead off the story with a temporarily-poison-blinded Zhan Zhao needing Bai Yutong to lead him around, along with a couple of kids (they’re Gongsun’s, and i haven’t read the first book in the series which is about him and some guy named Zhao Pu) who really really want them to GET TOGETHER ALREADY

Erya: here’s 2 pages describing Zhan Zhao spilling tea over his fingers and then Bai Yutong slowly wiping it off and taking a sip out of his cup so he wouldn’t spill it again and then Zhan Zhao pondering if it’s an indirect kiss

Started reading 龍圖案卷集 by Erya (I'm not even going to try translating that ... I'd call it Song Dynasty Cold Cases :p) thinking it's a sequel to 詭行天下 (strange tales under heaven) because it's listed on jjwxc as the same series as the other two books but it turns out it's totally not that????

So 詭行天下 and SCI takes place in the same universe, 1000 years apart. I know this for sure because in the time-travelling extra(IKR), where Bai Yutong + Zhan Zhao + Gongsun Ce + Zhao Pu travel 1000 years into the future and meets the future SCI team. 龍圖案 is more like ... AU of 詭行天下, where the main characters are still the same people but meet in completely different circumstances.

It reads like a fixit fanfic of her own AU

I've no idea why i can't stop reading her stuff

Just want more mouse cat i guess
