hey!! it’s the fic anon who’s writing about your bobert au! just wanted to let you know that im still working on it, and i have a few paragraphs of it for you to read!! :>

it actually gets minorly angsty at one point with the whole “im a robot, one out of thousands, and i am not inherently unique or my own person” sort of philosophy or whatever it’s called that i decided to use. if it doesn’t fit the au or you don’t want it in pls tell me!! im an angst writer so i do it without even realizing sorry :<

“Bobert, despite how much he liked to think otherwise, wasn’t unique. He wasn’t special, by definition he was actually quite the opposite. He was mass-produced alongside thousands of others, each with the same purpose embedded into them. The same mission. Observe, protect, and heal.”

“He’d never seen another Bobert face-to-face, but Gumball had said that was because, ‘they’re all just rich people robot butlers with medical degrees’. He’d then turned to face Bobert, and with flattened ears he tacked on, ‘but not you, Bobert. You’re cool.’

That wasn’t true, despite how Bobert would sometimes let himself believe it.”

“He had the same purpose as any other Bobert, the same automated responses, the same knowledge. And like those thousands of others before him, and the thousands of others to come after, he would complete his mission; observe, protect, and heal.”

“Juke glared at him. He pointed at his head and let out a series of ‘bkk bsh bbbksh’s that Bobert couldn’t understand, even with his highly-advanced multilingual code. The language was too fast-paced, so similar to music that whenever Bobert tried to find out what Juke was saying, he only got beatboxing songs as a result. On the rare chance it translated into the language, it was gibberish.

It was strange, not knowing something, when he was supposed to know everything he’d need to work efficiently. And it was definitely frustrating as well, though not as frustrating as it surely was for Juke.”
