Summary: You get a little more familiar with makeup in the 20s, and Nicky finds himself really liking the look of you in red lipstick. Bonus: Lipstick marks on his cheek are his no.1 soft spot.  Word Count: 2.2k  Warnings: a tiny bit suggestive but not really like at all.
Tumblr media
You’ve been in 1920’s New York for almost two months now and were still trying to acclimate to the fashion of the era. Certain styles you’ve had a harder time working yourself up to wear (like tights every day, why every day?), and others you just haven’t gotten around to trying out. But all in all, you were pretty pleased with your new 20th century wardrobe. The skirts and dresses you wore were extremely durable and actually surprisingly flattering. The iconic boxy cut that you heard so much about in your high school history classes proved to be beautiful on all body types, something you appreciated greatly.
One afternoon, while Nicky was dealing with some business that he didn’t want you there for, you were free to meander around the city – Even do a little shopping, thanks to the way your coin purse was spoiled by your boyfriend.
As you passed by a fancy boutique during your afternoon adventure, you were immediately drawn in. Stopping to stare, you gazed at the fresh paint that adorned the windows, advertising the makeup they sold inside. While also taking notice of the boutique’s patrons flowing in and out. All the women that entered looked as though they ate gold for breakfast and had hundred-dollar bills for lunch. They oozed an aura of wealth and you began doubting your place in their store. You could afford anything you wanted in there and more, sure, but the sheer confidence that radiated from them was a little intimidating. You feared they’d smell your inferiority from a mile away.
It took a quick mental pep talk – and a lap or two around the block – to convince yourself to enter the store. Gipping onto your purse just a little tighter, you braved the crowd of posh women gliding through the entrance and slipped in as well.
“Hello!” A young girl at a counter with makeup fixtures littering it greeted, “How may I help you today?”
“I’m just looking around, actually.” You stated, glancing back around the interior, “I’ve never been in this store before.”
“Well, might I just suggest you take a look at our makeup collection. It’s what we’re most well-known for anyways.” The shop girl’s smile was dazzling, though probably painful considering how wide it was and how long she was holding it.
You took a step next to the counter and watched as the girl pointed out some products. Everything seemed pretty standard, except for the block of charcoal that doubled as mascara, and nothing was really catching your eye until-
“What do you think of this for me?” You picked up a golden tube of red lipstick with roses engraved into the casing.
“The Ruby Red?” She glanced at the color and back to you, scanning her eyes over your face. “I’d go for something a little deeper, personally. The bright colors are nice and all, but all the women in movies are wearing darker colors. I think you’d pull that off, you look like you’re straight outta’ve a film.”
You chuckled at her statement. She wasn’t wrong, technically. “I’ll take the color you suggest, then.”
She grinned at you before pulling out a tube nearly identical to the first from behind the counter, “This shade is called ‘Forever Red’ by Besame cosmetics, D’you wanna try it on before you go?”
“I’ll take a preview,” You agreed and puckered your lips for the girl to apply it. She slid the lipstick carefully over your lips, the creamy texture felt similar to a chapstick you used to wear, and it made you oddly nostalgic.
“Wow, it looks even better than I thought it would!” She clapped her hands together once she finished, “You look better than Bebe Daniels did in this shade!”
“You think so?” You asked, astonished. Turning to look in the little mirror sitting to the left of you, okay yea. You looked good. “Y’know what, I think I’ll take it.”
Giddily, you grabbed your tiny giftbag with your lipstick and went back to your hotel room for the night. Nicky had promised he would be there to take you out for dinner, and you wanted to surprise him with a bit of red added to your look.
<><><>
You had just finished slipping on your silk – or was it satin, you couldn’t be sure – dress over your tights and undergarments; hair and makeup already done. You took a moment to fumble with the zipper on your gown but weren’t able to zip it up completely. After struggling for a good few minutes after your initial attempt, you blew out a frustrated puff of air and looked at your reflection in the vanity you were sat in front of.
All-in-all, you looked good. You took extra care of your hair tonight. It was gelled to perfection, not a single frizz out of place. And your makeup – it took you nearly double the time it used to, but the time commitment was worth it. The dark red lip that you just bought contrasted with the silver and black on your eyelids and stood out against your gown. Said gown was a silky (or satin-y) pearl color that had a wrapped bodice. Fairly simple. Extremely elegant. It was something Nicky bought you and you adored it.
Taking your time fixing invisible imperfections, you hadn’t noticed Nicky enter your room or the way he had to bite back a chuckle as you bared your teeth at your reflection to insure you didn’t have lipstick marks littering your pearly whites.
You only acknowledged his presence when he cleared his throat and you nearly jumped out of your skin at the intrusion. You whipped around, preparing for the worst since you were not exactly in the right state to fend off an attacker.
“Motherfuc- Nicky!” You slapped a hand over your heart when you realized who it was, “You tryna give me a heart attack?”
“’Course not, doll,” He grinned back at you, “Just tryna keep you on your toes s’all.”
“Since you’re here early, and decided to scare the crap out of me, I’m gonna put you to work.” You smirked at the way Nicky’s eyes widened with your words.
“Anything for you, baby.” He winked, trying to display a confident and cocky attitude. But you noticed the shaky breath he let out before he spoke up.
You stood up, the skirt of your gown brushing against your ankles as you sauntered towards your boyfriend and took pride in the way his jaw went slack at the sight of you. Each step you took was agonizingly slow, but you were basking in the way he raked his eyes over your form. With each second, you could practically see the blood rushing to Nicky’s cheeks. He was bright red by the time you were directly in front of him. When the toe of your heel brushed against his dress shoe, you draped your arms around his neck. The breath caught in his throat at your closeness, and he choked on his next words:
“Is-Is that a new… um… is that a new lipstick, Y/n?” His adam’s apple bobbed as you pressed your body into his. You were looking up at him through your lashes – your lips just a hair’s length apart.
“Mhmm,” You hummed, running a hand down his chest, “It’s called ‘Forever Red’, kinda foxy ain’t it?”
Nicky couldn’t form any words; he was looking at you like a deer caught in headlights. His breathing was heavy, and you could tell he was having a hard time controlling himself. He only took his eyes off your lips to close them and breath a heavy sigh when you moved to whisper in his ear.
“Be a doll and zip me up,” You whispered and placed a kiss right below his cheek bone. You pulled away from Nicky and saw him deflate slightly from the corner of your eye.
“Wh-what?” His eyes were glazed over, “What did you say?”
“Zip me up, will ‘ya?” You let a small stream of laughter erupt from your red lips, “C’mon Nicky we don’t have all night.”
Still caught in a daze, he fumbled with your zipper a few times before he was able to pull it up fully.
“Atta boy,” You grinned, topping your look off with a feather boa and pair of pearly, elbow-length gloves. “So where are we going?”
Nicky finally snapped back to reality from wherever his mind had wandered from before and a cheeky grin had returned to his face, “You are such a minx, you know that?”
“I learned from the best,” You smiled, wrapping your arm around his outstretched elbow. “Ready to go?”
“Actually, Y/n. We do have to make a quick stop on our way to our date.” Nicky admitted bashfully as you glided through the extravagant hotel hallway, his free hand rubbing the back of his neck. “’Nother head of the Family, Schitz, wanted to meet up to discuss his quarrel with some of Floyd’s guys. Asked to do it today. Is it okay if we…?”
“You know I’m all in, Nicky.” You squeezed his arm in reassurance. “I won’t get mad about you having to work. So long as you let me in, you know that.”
Nicky pressed a quick kiss to your temple as you rounded the corner to the exit, “What did I do to deserve a gal like you?”
“Something pretty damn good.”
<><><>
“Keep the car runnin’ Ralph, we shouldn’t be too long.” Nicky gave a firm nod to his right-hand man and grasped your hand in his. He had tried to ask you to stay in the car during his meeting, considering it shouldn’t be more than ten minutes long, but you were having none of it.
“Nicky come on! This can be part of the date!” You pleaded, wanting nothing more than to be at his side whenever you could be. And he, being the simp he was, couldn’t say no to you. He didn’t even want to say no, and that’s how he knew he was absolutely whipped.
Begrudgingly he agreed, though, he refused to let go of your hand. Knowing you were by him at all times alleviated some of his fear with you being part of his family. If you were in, then he was going to make sure everyone knew you weren’t someone to be messed with.
“Ah, Nicky Valentino!” An older gentleman called from the inside of an empty bar. “Please take a seat.”
Nicky’s expression when he was with you was soft and warm, but when he was dealing with business those same eyes were walled away. Replaced with a stony expression that revealed nothing about what was going on in his brain. It was a look you were getting accustomed to wearing, yourself.
“If we could make this quick, Schitz,” Nicky’s voice was smooth and confident, “I have a previous engagement that I’m anxious to get to.”
“Of course, of course but – ah – what’s that?” Schitz gestured to his cheek, “Got some red shit on your cheek, paint or something?” Your eyes widened briefly when you realized what Schitz was talking about. He was gesturing to the place you had teased/kissed Nicky before you left.
Nicky asked you for the compact mirror from your purse – how he knew it was there was beyond you since you didn’t even know it was there –  and checked his reflection. Once he saw the prominent silhouette of your lips on his cheek in your lipstick, Nicky let out a barking laugh. Your cheeks burned, though; ashamed at having possibly ruined his tough guy image.
“I’m sorry Nicky,” You whispered, taking off your glove and raising your hand to wipe away the mark on his cheek. Before your thumb could make contact with the stain, his hand clasped around your wrist and gently pulled your hand down to his chest.
“Don’t be,” He brushed his lips against your knuckles, “It’s a token of affection, I wouldn’t dare wipe away one of your kisses.”
Your heart thrummed loudly against your ribcage at his words. You could feel every amber of your being slowly fall more in love with him, and there was nothing you could do (not that you wanted to do anything) to stop it.
Eventually, a deep red kiss was the staple of your relationship. The lipstick was the finishing touch to every one of your outfits, and the shade that stained Nicky’s cheek whenever he left the house without you. He was taking a part of you with him on the days you couldn’t come, and everyone knew who you were when you accompanied him wearing the very same shade of red lipstick the next time you left.

It took some time for Sigma to get everything he needed for the ritual. It could have taken a much shorter time, but the townsfolk were whispering now of the dangerous criminal Dr. Wen. There was now a story to the name, of a man who rose to incredible heights but flew too close to the sun, of a degenerate who used humans and animals as test subjects for his cruel experiments, of a deviant who betrayed his former employer to wreak havoc upon the lands of Oasis. It was a complete fabrication, but it was enough to keep Harold put at the temple, afraid to venture outside.
"They don't know Dr. Wen is you," Sigma said for what felt like the hundredth time.
"But they don't know it's not me," Harold sighed. "Look, I might dress like the people, but it's obvious I'm not from these parts. It didn't take long for people to put two and two together that I'm a foreigner."
"You seem to underestimate the idiocy of the people around us. We have time. It's fine."
Harold lowered his head. The sound of his hands rubbing together nervously made Sigma frown.
"Don't tell me…"
"One of the guards figured out," Harold morosely said.
Sigma felt his heart lurch in his chest. "And…did they say anything?"
"No," he uttered. "They're not going to do anything. It's our little secret. But the fact that he figured it out isn't reassuring. It won't be long before luck and faith runs dry, and I'm strung up for all eternity."
It was a relief that Harold was safe for now, but that brought a new problem. "You know someone needs to go to town to get the last ingredient."
"Can't you ask one of the guards then?"
"They don't have any connection to magic, either innately, learned, or by the generosity of the spirits. People like us are a rarity." Most people learned magic through intensive learning. Few had such natural, innate ability like Harold. Even fewer gained their powers through a pact with the spirits. "Even if they knew what to look for, they won't be able to sense if it's genuine or a dud."
"And just what is it do they need to look for anyway?"
"Aqua vitae ," Sigma turned to Harold. "You might know it as aqueous ethanol."
"Sigma, I'm an alchemist, of course I know what aqua vitae is." Harold frowned. "Does it have to be pure?"
Sigma nodded. "The slightest imperfection will ruin the spell. The person who wrote the original spell was very specific about this detail. Though your spell differs slightly from the texts, by my calculations, I too will need it to be pure."
"But I can't go out there. They'll arrest me," Harold said.
"I know," Sigma grumbled. "I'll have to do it."
"But you're still blind. No amount of spirits and magic can cure that. Not even mine. Not for how long you're going to be out."
"It'll be the first time I've went to town since I found this temple." His lips dipped into a frown. "I must admit, it's been so long I almost forgot how the markets looked like, and what it felt like to be around people." Quieter, he said, "I wonder if they still remember me for the monster I was, and the destruction I brought. I wouldn't blame them."
Harold tutted his lips slightly, and then he reached out for Sigma's hand. He traced symbols on Sigma's palm, golden energy seeping from his touch, painting the pale skin. From this brief touch, Sigma felt warmth filter through his body as Harold's emotions—happiness, discontent, love—flooded Sigma's mind. He wished he could transmit his own feelings as easily as Harold transmitted his. He knew all the twists and turns in Harold's mind by now, where to go to see exactly the thoughts and feelings when they sprung up. But it didn't work the other way around. Sigma had tried to bridge the gap, to reveal more of himself and his past, but he could never open himself so fully and so willingly as Harold did. If he did, would Harold still love him? Even after all the atrocities he'd caused in the past?
Harold finished, and Sigma felt a strange sigil emblazoned on his hand, pulsating slowly. Harold lifted his own hand to reveal an identical sigil, its own unique energy throbbing with every bit of blood that pumped around his body. "Tracker spell," Harold explained. "If you get yourself lost or in danger, we'll find each other. Just think of me and the path to me will reveal itself, no eyesight required."
Sigma traced the sigil with his fingers, trying to remember its shape and texture. As he reared his head up, a sudden thought intruded into his mind. He wanted to kiss Harold. He wanted to hold him close, and press their lips together, and sink into a bottomless abyss. But he couldn't. Harold may have said they were soulmates, but even that simple fact wouldn't stop them from drifting away. A spell like this wouldn't help when they're hundreds of miles away, separated by distance and time.
Sigma went to his bedroom and dressed himself inconspicuously for his trip to town. A robe over his body, some feet coverings, and a shawl for good measure. His bandana was removed and left on a dresser, his scarred eyes barely hidden by a dark head covering. It wouldn't hide his identity from everyone, but it might be enough to let him go through the town without attracting too much attention. He bid farewell to Harold, who surprised him with a kiss on the cheek, and then drifted away before Sigma could even say anything, let alone reciprocate. As Sigma left, the noises of clothes and items stuffed into crates reminded him that this happiness was only temporary, and that Harold's departure was imminent.
He walked through the town, trying to blend in with the locals, but it was obvious that wasn't going to happen anytime soon. Without his bandana, he could see the shapes shift and twist, of heads turning in his direction in curiosity, or perhaps fear. He was tall, and he was pale, and he did not belong. No amount of clothes could cover that. A wave of panic made his lungs constrict as he remembered the last time he tried to hide in the crowd, hours after his escape from Talon as he tried to weave his way through the markets in search of safety. His mind shifted, the oppressive darkness of an old memory fading away, the golden light of Harold's form replacing it.
Funny how just thinking about Harold used to get him so pent up, and now it gave him comfort. A small smile flickered on his lips like lightning.
Soon, Sigma found his way to a market stall. It was inconspicuous, nestled between two more popular shops, but for the few mystics in town, it was well known for supplying the best (though not necessarily most legal) products for magic and spells. The owner had not moved his stall since Sigma's last visit, which was a relief. What was not so much of a relief was the new owner; the son of the first owner. He had a lighter voice and a smaller gait, and much sharper features. They tried to sweettalk the other citizens as they tried to hurry on by, but it wasn't working. His voice wasn't as smooth and soothing as Harold's.
No voice could compare with Harold's, Sigma idly thought.
The younger shopkeeper turned to Sigma and chuckled. "I finally get to see you, dear Oracle."
Sigma frowned. "I don't believe we've met," he said in the Iraqi tongue, wincing at his atrocious attempt at the local dialect. He needed to practice more often.
"Your assistant has been to my shop many times, and each time he always tells me stories about you." There was excitement in his voice. "Is it true that you command the spirits?"
"I am here for aqua vitae,” Sigma ignored the comment.
“Yes, yes, Charon sent a message to me earlier. Told me to expect you. I have it here, ready and waiting for you, sir.”
Sigma took the flask the shopkeeper offered and glanced at it. There was a faint magical energy around it, playing a little melody that Sigma recognised. These melodies were like signatures, and this melody was in perfect memory, exactly how he remembered it sounding when he was a fresh-faced scientist. There was no doubt about it. It was pure aqua vitae , bottled and ready for use.
As Sigma counted the amount of coins he needed to pay, he suddenly realized how long Harold had stayed with him. It was short, but it felt far longer than that, like years instead of a month. He almost forgot Charon was the name he went by with most people. He forgot that the name Harold was a special privilege that Sigma alone could wield.
He couldn’t stop the tiny little smile from creeping up his face. The shopkeeper noticed. “He likes you,” he commented.
Sigma bristled. “I-I have no idea what you are talking about.”
“Aww, don’t be shy, it’s fine. It’s cool. Love transcends all barriers, don’t it?”
Sigma blushed. He wished love could transcend any barrier, but it wouldn't transcend the barrier that was distance and time. Nothing could. “Perhaps he does,” Sigma finally said.
The shopkeeper grinned. “Does he know you like him too?”
“It’s a bit more than like, and no, he does not know. There’s no reason to tell him. He will be leaving soon.”
“Isn’t that the best time to tell him then?”
Sigma opened his mouth but didn’t have a rebuttal planned. Instead, he paid the man the money he was owed.
The shopkeeper bowed. “Think about what I said, Oracle. I’d hate to lose a paying customer, and I’d especially hate to see you both leave without saying goodbye properly.”
The rest of the journey back to the temple, Sigma just stared at his hand, marveling at the sigil that Harold had crafted for him. The spell was potent, golden waves highlighting the way back home. As he walked, Sigma realised that Harold had done more for him than he did for Harold. He had to amend that mistake. If he could not prove his affection in words, then he shall reveal it with his actions.
The journey to the temple was fortunately uneventful, apart from the few whispers about Dr. Wen. Harold was by the entrance, lips pulled into a smile, but Sigmadid not stop to say hello to Harold. Instead, he beckoned him to the inner most chamber of the temple. A room that even Sigma himself rarely entered.
The prayer room was a hot spot of magical energy. It was so strong that Sigma would often lose the spirits to the many others that inhabited this room. A lot of these other spirits were trapped demons, stored in eternally burning candles that never melted. Others were house spirits, meant to protect the priests and priestesses and their charges. A few were drawn here by the spirits at Sigma's command, hoping perhaps to feed on his mind once Sigma's pact broke. Hot spots like these were rare things, due to the constant movement of the spirits within their realm. Part of Sigma's research had been into the formation of magic hot spots such as this one, but the last time he tried to form one, he ended up losing his eyesight and gaining powers beyond his mortal understanding.
Even with the magic the spirits gave him, it wouldn’t be enough for this spell. Sigma could only perform it here, where the magic was strongest. It gave him the greatest chance of success.
It also gave him the greatest chance of Harold dying if he failed.
Harold put his hand out in front of him, feeling the ebb and flow of the spirit realm’s energy. He drew the tiniest portion in, observing it as it travelled through his body before releasing it.
“I can see why I’ve never seen you in this room before,” Harold chuckled nervously.
Sigma frowned, but concentrated his powers to make the correct summoning circle. The spirits knew what it was, and they had no reason not to betray him. They would be feasting on Harold’s life force. They’d never hunger again, if they did their job correctly.
“This is really happening. You’re going to be making me mortal,” Harold whispered. He didn’t sound happy. In fact, he sound utterly depressed.
“You cannot doubt yourself. This is what you wanted.”
“I…I know this is what I wanted, but I…” Harold trailed off.
Sigma sighed quietly as he approached Harold. He placed his hand on Harold’s shoulder, rubbing it slowly. “I understand this is frightening.”
“It’s not that, it’s just…when I first sought you out I had nothing to live for. All my loved ones will die while I lived on, I’d never get to live in peace because I’d always be chased to the ends of the earth. But then I found you, and suddenly there was something worth living for." He took Sigma's hands into his own. "You reminded me that there's beauty in the world. That every day we live is a gift, and I shouldn't squander the gift I've been given. And…and something else."
Sigma felt Harold's breath on his cheek and realised they had both leaned in unconsciously, centimetres away from each other's faces. "W-what is this something else?"
"You know already." Harold's lips twitched into a frown. "Do I really have to spell it out to you?"
Sigma wanted to say no, but that would be a lie. The strings between their bodies had reappeared, pulsating with energy. Sigma plucked one, but instead of that familiar feeling of hands on his most sensitive parts, now he felt something else. Something soft and malleable, pressing against his lips. If he opened his mouth, he might even taste something sweet flicker around the cavern of his mouth before plunging deep into his throat. It'd taste magnificent, like the nectar of the gods.
Harold let go of Sigma's hands, only for his fingers to creep up the fabric of his bodysuit. His palms were flat against Sigma's chest, their magical energies swirling and spiraling.
Sigma felt his throat constrict. "You…you can't."
"I'm sorry," Harold whispered.
"You have to go after this, I…I don't deserve this. I don't deserve you."
"It's not about whether either of us deserve it or not. I want you. I need you." He stroked Sigma's face. "Please, Siebren. One more time, before I go."
Sigma so wanted to give in to Harold's touch. In another life, maybe he could. In this life however, he gently guided the hands down, letting Harold's emotions and memories fade away from his mind. "W-we cannot. I cannot. We have a ritual to perform, and…and if you don't want me to do it, speak now or forever hold your peace."
Harold stared at Sigma for several seconds, and then several more.
"Harold?" Sigma whispered.
"I thought...I thought you wanted me too. I thought we were soulmates." The golden energy that surrounded his body dimmed slightly. "I guess it doesn't matter anymore."
"Harold..."
"Do it then, the spell," he said. His voice was completely devoid of life. "Make me mortal."
Sigma frowned. "Are you su—"
"I said, do it." His voice crackled with emotion. "Just…just do it already and I'll get out of your hair. That's what I hired you to do anyway, isn't it?"
Sigma knew this was wrong, but he had to live with it now. He ordered Harold to stand in the centre of the salt circle, let the spirits flow their magic through his body, closed his eyes, and began the chant.
The candles and items that he had prepared began to rattle, his tongue rattling off words in Dutch. The spell could work in any language, but he had to recall the spell perfectly with no flaws or stutters. He'd practiced and practiced until his throat was sore, and he knew he could perform it perfectly. If Harold broke the salt circle, Harold would be fine but the trapped demons would leave and the room would lose its magical essence and they'd never be able to perform the spell again. If Sigma faltered, the room would keep its essence, but the trapped demons would attack, taking as much life essence as their starving mouths would muster.
Harold followed along with Sigma, chanting when asked to, performing certain actions when ordered to, but he did it all without his usual vigour. Sigma tried not to falter, but he couldn't help but think about the consequences. If he succeeded in this spell, Harold would leave. If he failed the spell, Harold would be dead or he'd leave. He tried to consult the spirits and get a glimpse into his own future, but they remained silent, refusing to give him even an offer.
Sigma was trapped to a life of loneliness, and he could not live like this again. Not when Harold brightened up the desolate hallways, making the temple smell and feel and taste like a home. Not when Harold kept him warm in the inside and out, making him feel safe and loved.
Everything was beginning to rattle. The spirits had emerged, in plain view despite Sigma's blindness, flitting about the room in a circle, obeying Sigma's command. On Sigma's order, they'll feast on Harold's lifestream, and on Sigma's order they'll retreat, taking just enough for Harold to live the rest of his natural life, give and take a year according to Sigma's calculations.
It was just one action. One thing to do. This action will determine the course of their lives forever.
"Sigma?" Harold asked.
There was a spot of wetness underneath Sigma's bandana, dripping down to stain his cheeks. His throat felt tight and his muscles screamed for him to stop. But why? Why couldn't he do it? Why couldn't he make Harold mortal? Why couldn't he just let Harold drift out of orbit, never to be heard or felt again?
This wasn't what Harold wanted. Was this what Sigma wanted?
"Siebren?" Harold whispered.
Sigma felt the world shatter around him, and then he stepped forward, displacing the salt circle and breaking the spell. Harold cowered as the spirits let out a deathly screech, angry at this betrayal, but Sigma used his magic to summon a barrier between them. The spirits tried to attack, but they weren't quick enough, Sigma deploying and redeploying the barrier, taking in beat after beat of destructive energy. After a minute of this relentless onslaught, the demons left the chamber, leaving it hollow but safe. The hot spot was no more.
Sigma huffed a breath in exertion, and then he heard the sound of Harold's footsteps approaching him. He expected Harold to grab him and push him to the wall, pressing his hands into Sigma's broad shoulders. He did not expect it to hurt as much as it did.
"W-why did you do that?"
"I-I couldn't do it. I couldn't let you be mortal."
"But why?" Harold asked.
"Because I…I…" Sigma grunted, unable to speak as more tears flowed down his cheeks. He suddenly knew why it was so hard to open up. He was scared of what Harold would see beneath the surface, scared that Harold might hate him. Fear had constricted him like a python, making him weak and foolish. That was what it was, wasn't it? He was weak, and foolish, and totally undeserving of the warm radiant light that was Harold Winston.
Harold's hands were on his face, pulling the bandana up to look at his tearful eyes. "Tell me," he whispered.
"I…" Sigma knew he couldn't say it in words. But maybe he could show it in another way. Slowly he cradled Harold's face, letting his fingers feel his nose, his eyelids, his maddening little stubble, and then finally his lips.
He loved Harold, he thought to himself, as he leaned forward and pressed a slow kiss to Harold's lips.
Harold gasped, not expecting the intrusion but not fighting it either, his lips parting to let his tongue peek out, slithering to the slit between Sigma's lips, pushing it open. Within the cavern of Sigma's mouth, he flicked his tongue to the roof, behind his teeth, trailing every sensitive part reverently. Sigma didn't hold back, gasping into Harold's kiss. He wanted—no, needed Harold to know what he felt. Harold needed to know everything about him. He couldn't hide anymore.
Sigma suddenly grabbed Harold by the shoulders, flipping them over so that he was pressing Harold into the wall instead. Harold moaned, his own hands trailing down Sigma's chest, past his stomach to cup his groin. He was crying too, and Sigma kissed Harold's salty tears away. He wanted to remember Harold's taste, Harold's texture, Harold's scent. The way he moaned lowly and the way he looked and the way he felt so perfectly in his arms. He wanted to remember it all, he needed to remember it all. He loved him too much.
"I love you," Harold said suddenly, making Sigma moan shamefully.
"D-don't," Sigma whimpered.
"You love me too," Harold said, awestruck.
Sigma nodded quickly, lips pressed into a thin line. "I don't want you to go."
"Then come with me," he breathed.
Sigma blinked rapidly, his eyes clouded with tears. "I…how?"
Harold dug his hand into a secret pocket of his robes and took it out for Sigma to see. Even from this close, Sigma couldn't see the contents very well, but there was a huge amount of magical energy surrounding it, a haunting melody that defied all description. Sigma had never encountered such a thing in his life, but somehow he knew instantly what it was. The elixir of immortality. A potion for eternal life.
His eyes widened. "H-Harold…"
"Be immortal with me," Harold whispered. "We can be together forever. We'll never be apart."
"No…" Sigma whispered.
"We'll explore the world, I'll guide you along. I'll tell you what everything looks like. We can be together, we can do anything, and if it doesn't work out, we can start all over again."
"Do you really think you can love me for eternity?"
"I know I will," Harold said quietly. "I've seen you for who you are." He wiped a stray tear from Sigma's cheek with his thumb. "You keep forgetting I'm magical, Siebren. I can see into your mind too. I've seen the work you did as a scientist, the royals you worked for, the lives you helped. I've seen the ritual that cost you your sight, the way you flew too close to the sun in the pursuit of discovery. I know you fought tooth and nail to escape your tormentors, who sought to use your powers for evil. I know you care what others think about you, and I know you care about me."
"I'm scared," Sigma admitted. "I'm not the great Oracle the people think I am. I used to be great, back when I was Siebren, but I'm not that man anymore. I'm old, and I'm blind, and I'm fragile, and I'm weak. I don't deserve your love, and I don't deserve immortality."
"But you love me?" Harold breathed.
"Of course I do," Sigma whispered, equally as breathless. "For as long as I breathe, I will love you. But I can't accept your gift. And as much as I would love to, I can't run away with you."
Harold's eyes went cloudy as he stared at Sigma's lips. "So…so what do we do then?" He asked quietly.
Sigma felt Harold's cheek. "We remember each other. One last time."
Harold lowered his head but nodded. "One more time."
Harold moved to touch Sigma, but Sigma used his powers to pull Harold's hands above his head, returning the elixir of immortality back into Harold's pocket. He felt Harold's robes, trailing down to the edge near the bottom, exposing Harold's half-hard cock. He squirmed slightly in surprise, but didn't make a sound as Sigma captured his lips once again, his hand wrapping around the shaft and sliding up and down slowly. Sigma wanted to prolong this as much as he could. He wanted to remember Harold.
There was an explosive wave of emotions as Harold kissed back passionately, mitigating Sigma's powers long enough to wrap his arms tightly around Sigma's shoulders. Unlike before where it was a heap of emotions that overwhelmed Sigma's senses, now there were only two: sadness and love. The strings reappeared before their bodies and with his other hand, Sigma stroked them. Their bodies shivered at the same time as warm fingers trailed down the small of their back. As Harold panted, small begs and moans spilling eagerly, Sigma knew they were feeling the same thing. Their minds were truly one now.
Sigma played the strings like a harp, and a wave of hands—Harold's hands—touched his ass, pressing their slick heat into his puckered hole. Harold inhaled sharply, lips pulled up into a tight smile as the same thing happened to him.
"What do you feel?" Sigma asked, even though he knew exactly what Harold was feeling.
"Hot," Harold breathed. "Glorious. Ecstatic." He let out a small gasp as the invisible fingers breached past the band of muscle. " Everything ."
Sigma couldn't help but smile through the tears as he stroked the strings, letting the phantom hands caress their bodies and press their fingers further into their ass. Like their owners, the hands were hungry, pinching and twisting nipples, rubbing thighs and cocks, pressing lightly against their throats. Sigma captured Harold's lips again, and again, trails of saliva spilling down to Sigma's hand, which was still stroking Harold's cock at a moderate pace, spreading precum. It was so much at once, but Sigma relished in this feeling. For Harold, he'd give anything and everything. He was sure that Harold knew that too.
Sigma knew Harold was close, because he was getting close himself. He opened his mouth to ask, but Harold must have known, because his fingers dug into Sigma's shoulders, his body shaking in anticipation, or perhaps even desperation.
"I love you," Sigma groaned.
"I know," Harold huffed. "I love you."
"I know," Sigma said.
"I love you," Harold continued, knowing that it'll send spark after spark flying through Sigma's body. "I love you, I love you, I love you."
"Harold," Sigma whimpered.
"Siebren," Harold sighed.
Their mouths met, the strings vibrated, Harold moaned, and Sigma couldn't help but feel like the universe was guiding him to this euphoric, perfect moment. Their orgasms combined into one being, taking the strength out of their lungs as sticky lines dribbled in the space between them, staining the floor. Sigma wanted to collapse, wanted to fall asleep with Harold by his side, but Harold held him up before he might actually do so.
It took Harold a long time to let go of Sigma. Sigma, even longer to let go of Harold. They stared at each other, gazing into red-rimmed eyes, and then they held each other again and laughed, joyfully, tearfully, tragically.
Harold ran his thumb over Sigma's scars, a small smile playing on his lips. His hair was mussed up, and his glasses were tilted, and he was still only shapes and colours, but Sigma thought he was the most beautiful person in the world.
"Harold," Sigma said.
"Siebren, I…" Harold's eyes widened as he suddenly scrambled to clean himself up, a wave of panic transmitting through his touch.
Sigma barely heard the spirits warning of danger when the sound of glass breaking and candles bursting into flame surrounded his senses. There were footsteps, so many footsteps, and they were pointing weapons at him. Sigma summoned the hyperspheres, the weapons granted to him by the spirits for his servitude, but they were never meant to fight so many men at once. He hoped they didn't know that. Perhaps the act of intimidation might be enough to ward off the attackers.
There was one pair of footsteps that weren't like the rest. The click of heels on the stone floor. Sigma felt his face fall.
"Dr. de Kuiper," Lady O'Deorain said. "You've been lying to me."
Sigma unconsciously put a hand in front of Harold. Golden energy could faintly be felt behind him, growing in intensity. "Don't do this," Harold started.
"This is for the name of progress," she uttered.
"I won't let you touch him," Sigma growled, blocking Harold from Lady O'Deorain and her band of assassins.
"You won't?" Moira tutted her lips. "Do you realise how much I've done for you, letting you live here like this? If you disobey me, I will take you back to the organisation. Talon won't be so kind with their treatments, I can assure you."
Sigma remembered the serums and potions, the ones that tortured his body and soul. A spike of fear rose up but he thought of Harold, and successfully quelled it. "You can't touch Harold."
"I believe it's Dr. Wen, actually. Or at least, that's what they say on the posters," Moira said. "Even if you escape me, the whole city knows who he is now. A lot of people will kill for the bounty that's been put up. Even I think it's a tad excessive, but any bit of money is useful in the name of progress and research. I'm sure you understand, Dr. de Kuiper."
Harold gritted his teeth, the energy around his body growing brighter, bigger. Harold's hand brushed against Sigma's, and for a split second Sigma saw Harold's thoughts. His eyes widened microscopically, too small for anyone to notice. Did he really trust Harold this much to place his life in his hands?
"Surrender Dr. Wen, and I will let you continue to live your life in peace here." Her lips curled into a smirk. "I'll even let you have the bounty money. You'll be financially stable for the rest of your life, no need to interact with those insects we call people. You can pursue whatever research you want. You'll never have to suffer again."
Sigma turned to Harold, fear and shock stricken across his face. It was a crazy plan Harold had in mind. A stupid one. An insane one. And yet despite this, he trusted Harold.
After all, Harold was so willing to give up his life for Sigma. It was time to return the favour.
Now, Sigma mouthed.
The strings of gravity at everyone's feet began to glow golden, and suddenly a burst of power surged up, striking their bodies. A wave of indescribable pain shot up Sigma's body as he collapsed on the ground alongside everybody else. The voice of the spirits was fading. The world was spinning, getting darker by the second. And yet for a brief moment he saw Harold in perfect clarify, eyes wide open, lips agape as he rushed over to Sigma's side.
Harold fiddled with his robes until he found the vial, trying to open it with his shaky hands. Sigma wanted to protest, wanted Harold to leave him there to die, but he was too weak to speak. He was too close to Harold, physically and emotionally, and it was this very reason that he was now dying. Staring up at Harold, Sigma thought he wouldn't mind dying right then and there. Harold was holding his body so carefully, tears beading in his beautiful brown eyes, his touch screaming of love despite the horror and sadness. With the rest of Sigma's strength, he slowly moved his hand up to wipe the tears away from Harold's eyes, marvelling at how they glittered for him alone.
There was a pop, and then warm hands enclosed around Sigma's jaw, pulling his lips and mouth open. Liquid flowed down Sigma's lips to his throat, and it tasted absolutely vile, but Harold was massaging his throat, forcing him to swallow. His body protested, trying to cough the poison out, but he was too weak to even do that. Sigma felt a dreadful tiredness overcome his body, and he collapsed, faintly aware that Harold was holding onto his hand, confessing his love over and over like a prayer to the gods themselves.
At least he told Harold that he loved him, Sigma thought as he finally succumbed, falling into a dreamless sleep.

Hey doll hey!!!! Hope your having an extraordinary day. Today I’d like to review for you a full face of Pixi Beauty products. I will be following this post up with a second day wear test, so that I can try both the foundation and the beauty balm and I can try the concealer with and without corrector.
So let’s get started ….
BASE PRODUCTS:
Pixi by Petra Flawless Beauty Primer ($22 at Target and on their website): A++               You get 1.01 fluid ounces of product. A small amount of this primer is all you need …be careful because you can go from glowy to disco ball very easily.  This primer is a spot on dupe for the Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter ($45 at Sephora and on their website) in the color Dew You? …. the only difference is that the Pixi one leans a bit more pink where as the Marc Jacobs one leans a bit more gold. I used a bit too much and had to start my face over I looked like a vampire in the Twilight movies. The second try I went in with less product and it left my skin so glowy I love it. Once you layer foundation over it, the look is so dewy and so pretty.
Tumblr media
Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer on the left and Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter on the right.
foundation on the left concealer on the right
Pixi Flawless Beauty Fluid ($15 at Target and on their website): A-                                        In the picture above the foundation swatch is on the left and the concealer swatch is on the right…. You get 1.3 fluid ounces of product. The reason I chose to give this foundation an A- is because this foundation only comes in 3 shades and none of those shade even come close to being deep enough for our deeper skinned beauties. With that said this foundation is amazing. It’s not too thick, not too thin, and blends in seamlessly. The color was spot on for my skin tone. 2 Pumps was enough to cover my full face and neck and still have a bit left to cover over spots that needed more coverage. It’s billed as a barely-there miracle base that transforms skin, making it appear fresh & gorgeous as fine lines are blurred, skin tone is evened out, and blemishes are erased. I don’t know if it covers blemishes because I don’t currently have any, but it did blur my skin. It does not set down so you do need to set it with powder. This is a solid foundation that does not oxidize, lasts all day, and doesn’t break down over the T-zone. By the end of the night my pores were very visible, but that might be from the powder foundation that I used to set this foundation. I look forward to using this foundation some more and definitely will use it up and repurchase it again.
Pixi by Petra Pat Away Concealing Base ($16 at Target and on their website): A+++!!            You get .13 fluid ounces of product. It comes in 6 shades with 2 for deeper skin. I gotta say that the applicator on this one is odd. Their website says it’s a Unique applicator sized like your finger with extra flocking for added softness and ease in blending. This concealer is billed as being concentrated yet skin-like, elastic and long wearing, and buildable for full coverage. I think the applicator is gimmicky but the concealer is beautiful. It’s a medium coverage concealer that can be built up to full coverage without creasing. Today I did not use a color corrector to test the strength of this concealer and it preformed wonderfully! You couldn’t see my fine lines, until I set it with face powder … I will try it again tomorrow with my Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder instead of using the powder foundation to see how it goes…. but as of right now, I really like this concealer. I used just 1 swipe for each eye and didn’t have to go back into the product to cover both eyes. I will used up the rest and most definitely will repurchase this concealer.
Pixi by Petra Colour Correcting Powder Foundation ($20 at Target and on their website):A-                                                                                                                                         You get .28 ounce of product. This is a finely milled powder foundation that actually has great coverage. They bill it as a never cakey or heavy medium to full coverage powder. If you go in with a light hand this powder looks amazing, but the more you add the more it emphasizes imperfections. I chose to give it an A- for a few reasons… the first being that there are only 3 shades and, like the liquid foundation, it only comes in 3 shades … none of which are deep enough for anyone deeper skinned than me…. the second reason is that this is billed and being a flawless buildable powder foundation, but when you go in with more than just a light sweep of powder all the texture in your face is emphasized and it mattifies your skin way too dry. I like the coverage it gives with 1 pass of the brush but it doesn’t completely set the foundation underneath so I will use this as a touch up powder instead of a setting powder. I’ll use this one up but I don’t think I will repurchase because there are other powder foundations that I like at the drug store that are cheaper and that can be built up without making my skin look like the Sahara.
Pixi by Petra Beauty Bronzer ($18 at Target and on their website): A+                               This product came with a kabuki brush, I didn’t like the kabuki brush it was too soft and too flimsy. I would have preferred Pixi to include a  mirror or perhaps add more product rather then get this brush as part of the set. You get .36 ounces of product. It’s billed as being a silky, perfectly-pigmented bronzer that perks up skintone while looking natural. This is a satin finished bronzer so you get glowy skin, it in no way looks natural, although the tone of the bronzer is perfect. It’s a subtle pigmented bronzer so you do have to go into the product a couple of times to get a good color payout… but the look is so pretty. Now this is not a long wearing bronzer … by 6 pm all that was left was the shimmer of the bronzer which I was able to tone down with pressed powder…. but it’s still a really pretty bronzer. I’ll continue to use this one up but am not sure if I will repurchase it just yet …. I need more time to play with it to see if it will remain in my makeup rotation.
EYE PRODUCTS:
Pixi by Petra Hello Beautiful Face Case ($24 at Target and on their website): A+++!!!      You get .56 ounces of product. This is an all in one compact, it has 2 blushes, a highlighter, and 12 eye shadows. I was able to do a complete eye look, with the exception that there is no matte cream color to set your primer with, with as wonderful as these shadows are I did not mind having to pull a single shadow into the look at all. These eye shadows are finely milled and highly pigmented. It’s a great quality palette. There was some kickback in the pans but very little fallout on the under eye. The swatches are 1 pass of the finger, I didn’t have to build the colors up at all. The shadows blend well together and buff our so easily. I hope this is not a limited edition item because I definitely could see myself using this palette up and repurchasing it.
Tumblr media
Endless Silky Eye Pen in Black Caviar on the left and Extra Eye Bright Liner in Extra Bright on the right.
Pixi by Petra Endless Silky Eye Pen ($12 at Target and on their website): A++                  This pencil comes in 22 shades. You get .04 ounces of product. This pencil was so simple to use. It’s super creamy. There was no tugging at my lids. It didn’t transfer to my lower lash line, It did not fade or crack. I was able to get 1 continuous line on my lid without having to go over the line at all. I truly like this pencil…. I will use this pencil up and promptly repurchase it.
Pixi Extra Bright Liner ($14 at Target and on their website): F                                              You get .12 ounces of product. It’s billed as being an intensified version of their classic Eye Bright Liner and that it delivers a wide-awake look in moments. There was no brightness to this liner. It tugged at my sensitive waterline. Went on patchy and did not stick … it was gone in a 1/2 hour… today I had to reapply this at least 7 times… this is just a dud for me… a definite fail. I think I will purchase the Endless Silky Eye Pen in the color Matte Nude to use in my waterline instead of trying to use this pencil… I will be decluttering this pencil first thing tomorrow.
Pixi by Petra Endless Brow Gel Pencil ($11 at Target and on their website): A-                 You get .04 ounces of product. It comes in 3 shades, light…medium…and deep. This pencil was so easy to use. It made my brows a bit harsher than I normally like but it still went on effortlessly. It does fade a bit as the hours roll by, but nothing to harsh that it left me looking crazy or anything. I think if I had the medium shade my brows wouldn’t be as harsh looking…. I am going to purchase the medium pencil and see if the color difference will do the trick. It was a good pencil and I will most definitely be using it again. This pencil surprised me because I though it’s a wooden pencil and would be stiff and hard to apply… this was the furthest thing from the truth … it was creamy and smooth and easy to block out my brows and then fill them in.
Pixi by Petra Brow Tamer ($10 at Target and on their website): A+++!                                You get .15 ounces of product. This gel works better than the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow gel does. It held my brows all day, did not lift up the brow product underneath, was gloppy, and did not make my brows crunchy. I will be repurchasing this brow gel once I run out.
Tumblr media
Pixi by Petra Lash Booster Mascara ($15 at Target and on their website): A+++!!!!           You get .25 ounces of product. It’s billed as a mascara that curls, defines, lengthens and thickens with a glossy, waterproof finish. It’s not a glossy formula, it dries down matte but with that said …. this mascara just gave my beloved Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black a run for it’s money!!! I used 2 coats of this mascara and my lashes did not clump, did not droop, did not get crunchy, and did not transfer to my lids or under eyes. I didn’t even need to use a lash primer with this mascara. Oh boy, I think I have a new love. The only thing that is a problem with this one is, it gets a bit messy around the stopper, but that’s not a deal breaker for me… I really love this mascara… I’m so ordering a back up.
CHEEK and LIP PRODUCTS:
Pixi by Petra Hello Beautiful Face Case($24 at Target and on their website):A+++!!!       The blushes in this palette are so pretty. You get a subtle peachy tan and a deeper peachy tan blush and 1 highlight or blush topper. The formula is a bit chalky but once you buff it into the cheeks it looks better. The blush lasted all day long with no patchy or faded spots.  I didn’t pick another blush because they all seemed to be shimmer shades and I like a matte blush… however they just dropped 2 new quads that are matte if they are anything like the blushes in this palette I will be purchasing them too.
Pixi Matteluster Lipstick ($12 at Target and on their website): C-                                         You get .13 ounces of product in this bullet. It comes in 11 shades. It’s billed as being full-coverage, with an adjustable-finish  for long lasting, vivid lip colour with a plumping effect. First of all this lipstick tastes awful! I don’t make it a habit of eating my lipstick, but whatever is in this lip product transfers to the mouth …. the taste is very hard to get around. The color is beautiful and lasts a decent time… but so does the taste…. and this lipstick did not plump my lips at all. The taste of this product is so bad that I will be decluttering this lipstick tomorrow. A definite hard pass for me.
Pixi The Layers Highlighting Palette ($24 at Target and on their website):A+++!!!! You get .81 ounces total of product. The smaller squares are .09 ounces each and the 2 bigger squares are .27 ounces each. This is a collaboration palette with Rachel Loves from youtube… I purchased it because I absolutely love Rachel Loves videos and just had to try her highlighters out. This is a unique palette because it’s designed so that you can mix the smaller squares in with the bigger squares to get a deeper , brighter, or paler highlight as you wish to mix. These highlighters are so beautiful. There is no glitter in them. They buff into the skin beautifully. This formula of highlighter does not emphasize texture in your skin, and it seems to melt into the skin when you apple setting spray… it’s not that it’s a powdery formula, it just seems to go seamless on the skin once you introduce a setting spray. I so love this palette, I highly recommend this palette to anyone how is a lover of highlighter. Out of all the products I purchased and tried this is my favorite Pixi find.
Tumblr media
Excuse the hair … It’s time for a new Olaplex treatment.
Final Thoughts:
As a whole Pixi Beauty gets a solid A++ from me. They have high quality products and a drug store price. They are a bit higher on the drug store price tag but so worth the splurge. When I first purchased these products I went in thinking, this company is going to let me down… there is no way that they are any good, hardly anyone talks about them anymore… well boy was I wrong. I truly had a blast trying out these products, so much so that I will be purchasing more products from them soon…. there is a setting spray of theirs that I would like to try and I need to get more eye shadow palettes from their line. I also want to try other lipstick formulas to see if they are better than the one I tried today. With as good as the other products were I am willing to take the chance and try out other lip products.
Well that’s all for now dolls…. remember save a spoon for a bit of makeup.
XOXO

Statuario
#BHANDARIMARBLEWORLD
May 27th is celebrated the world over as the international day of design. This year’s theme, “Interior Design for Generations”, explores the concept of time and its impact on the philosophies and visions of the various generations. We at Bhandari Marble World celebrating this day with our exclusive product “WHITE STATUARIO” which is the trend of today’s generation. As we check and analyzed the market requirement for marble, we found that Statuario is the most expensive and classic material nowadays and interior designers found it more luxurious stone.
At Bhandari Marble World we regularly importing exclusive blocks from Italy and other countries after that we analyzed them and process them with the deep knowledge of excellent workers. Today we will show you the whole process from Statuario marble block purchasing to process in slabs to our stockyard.
EXTRACTION OF MARBLE
Mining of Statuario Marble
Our orders start with selecting the perfect block, either from our partner’s stockyards or directly from the quarry. Statuario marble is the tone of nature that come in nature’s shape and color for thousands of years. This is unique and we can say rare material, each and every time it comes in different color shade and patterns. Mostly composed of calcium carbonate, marble has been and continues to be used as a construction and decorative material, due to its beauty and resistance.
How to Classified Blocks
Once each block is extracted from the quarry, these are classified based on certain quality criteria, such as:
Block size
Tones
A number of streaks: the lower the number of streaks, the higher quality, and better classification.
Cleanliness: clean materials are those with no stains
Cracks
Arrival and Unloading of Marble Blocks
Our team of qualified members who knows about the marble pros and cons also have the knowledge of the quality of marble blocks what size will be perfect as per market how much it should be crack free and clean what kind of texture clients loved they checked each and everything and as per they went to the market of Italy and other countries and then select the particular blocks and finalized. They marked the blocks and process them to ship them our way. Company-paid the particular company and then we get the selected blocks at our factory. Once the blocks have been extracted from the quarry, these are transported by HGV lorries to the manufacturers for processing. At each production center, the blocks are unloaded and classified in the block’s yard prior to being sawed. Due to their large dimensions and heavyweight, the blocks need to be moved and handled with cranes and specific machines, both during loading/ unloading and during processing.
Processing Marble Blocks in Slabs
Now, the third step is processing purchased blocks into slabs. Depending on the dimensions of marble blocks they may be cut as per different methods. The most important of all this process is that how we get the best quality and quantity with less waste. Blocks also cut as per clientele requirement in we check the size, thickness, quality, and other things will be measured. Most, probably the blocks cut into slabs but sometimes as per special requirement we cut them in tiles also, in the size of that tile will be like:
30*30
30*60
60*60
60*90
90*90 and so on.
With the most careful attention and criteria, we decide whether to consolidate our blocks with a patented vacuum resin, penetrating all the natural imperfections that might eventually create problems.
Processing Polishing and Strengthen in Marble Slabs
Slabs are taken to the production line for further processing. As a first step, the material is strengthened by attaching a mesh for further resistance. Following, the marble is subject to an abrasion process in order to change its appearance and to produce different finishes:
Polishing: in this case, we enhance the marble’s shine and color by leaving a smooth, glossy surface. Polishing time will vary depending on the block dimensions. It can usually take between 45 and 60 minutes.
Honing: consists of achieving a matt, shine-free surface. Its main difference with raw marble is that this finish removes all cutting marks.
Ageing: this finish provides natural stonework with a rugged, shine-free aspect resembling natural wear and tear.
Bush hammering: produces a coarser finish providing additional grip, which makes it ideal for outdoor areas.
Sanding: This finish achieves a much less coarse surface than the bush hammering process.
Split face: this is the most rustic finish, which can achieve a very rugged surface.
Slabs at Stock Yard of Bhandari Marble World
Once the corresponding finish has been applied, the slabs will be ready for display or will go directly to packaging ready for shipment. If the marble slabs are being shipped abroad, a series of wooden bundles will be prepared in order to introduce them into containers. While if your slabs are being shipped within Spain, these are transported using iron a frame to hold them in place. Tiles, on the other hand, are packed in wooden boxes for transportation.
STATUARIO MARBLE COLLECTION
Statuario Marble
Statuario is a classic and famous Italian marble with a pure white background and elegant gray veins that run across the stone. This is a perfect option when a whiter visual want to be achieved. Statuario is a timeless choice that can enhance any space and design style. From the Washington Monument to the Taj Mahal, marble has been used to create some of architecture and design’s most impressive structures. Formed from limestone that was subjected to pressure and heat, marble’s characteristic color swirls are what adds to its striking appearance. Add luxury and sophistication with a variety of earthy, neutral colors from this impressive collection.
The Statuario White marble of the Carrara region is one of the most precious marbles in the world. Very few materials, in fact, can compete with its transparent sheen and incredibly compact structure. The main types of this material are the White Statuario Venatino Marble, which has veins in shades of grey of various sizes, and the White Statuario Extra Marble.
Statuario Marble has always been the first preference when it comes to flooring. People prefer it for its elegant look as well as its strength and durability as it lasts longer than other kinds of flooring. However, installing natural marble stone has its own challenges. It is very hard to install and takes a lot of time, they need to be regularly maintained which means you have to keep spending money on it even after installation, and cleaning them could be a task in itself as they are not immune to spillage.

Sephora Spring Savings Event
Over the weekend, I had lots of requests come in asking for me to share my picks from the Sephora sale. For those who don’t know, they just launched their Spring Savings Event – they only do this type of sale twice a year so it’s a great time to pick up those items you use regularly for less.

There are so many products on their site that it can feel a little overwhelming, especially if you’re wanting to try something new.  I always recommend reading through the reviews before purchasing – and even if you buy something that you test out & don’t love, they have a generous return policy even for used products.  I’m sharing my tried-and-true favorites with you below – these are all things I use on a regular basis and love so I feel confident recommending them.  I’ll be repurchasing lots of these as back-ups for when I run out of what I’m using now.
Farmacy Brightening Eye Cream I’m quickly becoming a big fan of this brand – I have yet to try a product of theirs that I don’t absolutely love, so you’ll see quite a few of them here!  This was my most recent purchase from them & I’ve been using it since mid-February (first mentioned here).  I love that this is a heavier eye cream so it’s really hydrating, which helps with that crepey-looking texture around the eyes (note: I wait a good 10 minutes after applying before putting on my makeup).  And I do think that I’ve seen a slight improvement in my dark circles – a lot of my issue is hereditary, so I’ll never be rid of them completely, but this has definitely helped!
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer I’ve been using Tarte Shape Tape as my go-to undereye concealer for over a year, but I just started having issues recently with it creasing on me (I blame it on my aging skin).  So, when I received a sample of this with my last Sephora order, I gave it a try and now I’ll never go back.  Concealers are so tricky because everyone’s skin tone and texture is different, but I really like the texture and staying power of this one.  I recommend getting the mini size to start – a little goes a long way with this product, so even the smaller version will last you a while (I use the shade Vanilla).
Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask This is the most expensive item in my collage, but it’s worth including because the results are that good.  This is the best mask I’ve ever tried for minimizing pores & softening skin.  The smell isn’t my favorite, but I think that’s due to the fact that it’s 100% natural, which I really appreciate.  I’ve only been using it once a week to make it last longer – but, if it wasn’t so pricey, I would definitely use it more often!  Another option would be to purchase this skincare set, which comes with a cleanser & a smaller jar of this mask (about $20 cheaper than the full-size jar on its own).
Kiehl’s Overnight Lip Repair Treatment This has truly saved my lips this winter – anytime my jar gets low, I immediately order more.  It has a thick & creamy consistency with the most heavenly smell.  I apply it every night before bed and wake up with soft smooth lips each morning.
Nails Inc. Polish Duo This base coat + polish combo is a great buy – sometimes I just wear the base coat on its own for an American manicure look.  One of my biggest pet peeves with a lot of red nail polishes is that they aren’t opaque enough, but this one gives such good coverage that you can get away with just applying one coat.  This formula has great staying power & dries quickly (note: this shade is more of a warmer brick red vs. a bright cherry red).
Olly Lustrous Hair Gummies Anytime I can take my supplements in gummy form, I’m all for it because I hate swallowing pills.  I haven’t been taking these long enough to report my results yet, but I love the flavor of them + they get amazing reviews.  We are big fans of this brand in our house – we all take their multivitamins and my daughter swears that these stress gummies help with her anxiety levels throughout the day.  I plan to keep taking these & report back in a few more months – fingers crossed!
Urban Decay Setting Spray I blame my daughter for getting me hooked on this because I never even thought to use a setting spray before.  Someone brought this in for the cast of her musical to use on their stage makeup & I was blown away by how well it worked – her makeup was still flawless after multiple performances, costume changes & sweating under the stage lights.  I only used it for photo shoots or date nights in the winter, but will be using daily once summer rolls around – highly recommend trying out the mini size if you live somewhere that is hot and/or humid.
Farmacy AHA Resurfacing Night Serum If you have aging skin (in your 30’s or older), this serum is amazing for treating dark spots, evening out skin tone and getting rid of dullness.  There is a little tingling when you first apply it, but it’s nothing too severe – it also has a nice scent to it that I love.  Nothing beats the glow I wake up with in the morning when I use this the night before!
Farmacy Hydrating Sheet Mask I’ve tried a lot of sheet masks over the years and this one remains my favorite.  The first time I used it, I couldn’t get over how glowy & soft my skin was.  The ingredients are clean, it fits well (doesn’t slide off your face like some masks) & is the perfect extra moisturizing step for skin that’s become dry through the winter.
It Cosmetics Primer When I first put this on, the formula felt so light, I thought I was going to hate it – but I was amazed by how much better my makeup wore throughout the day than the primer I was previously using.  That being said, if you have dry skin, I would recommend this Smashbox primer instead because it’s more hydrating.
Tan Luxe The Face Drops These were a quarantine purchase for me just a few weeks ago and, so far, I’m loving the results.  I had to experiment a little with the amount – I started with 3 drops and it was a little darker than I wanted so I’m now using 2 drops per application, which gives me a natural looking tan.  I use the Light/Medium shade & just mix it in with my evening moisturizer).  Note: be sure to wash your hands immediately after applying!
Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector This is basically an at-home mask treatment – you put it on damp hair, leave on for 10 minutes before rinsing out & then shampoo & condition as usual.  My stylist recommended using the Olaplex shampoo & conditioner once a week to help repair my strands and this treatment takes it even one step further.  My hair has never looked shinier or healthier – will definitely be repurchasing!
Hourglass Translucent Setting Powder This is my favorite powder for setting my makeup – it has a silky finish & doesn’t settle into fine lines.  This does give a more matte finish to the skin, so I use it sparingly.  This also comes in a mini size if you want to try it out before buying the full size version.
Becca Hydra-Mist Setting Powder I wanted to include this powder in my round-up too because it’s cheaper than the Hourglass powder and it might be better for those looking for something with lighter coverage and/or a more dewy finish.  I took the mini size of this powder with me on my India trip & loved applying it because it has a cooling effect on the skin that feels amazing when it’s hot outside.
Living Proof Dry Shampoo I buy this stuff in bulk and have been using it even more now that we’re in quarantine.  I buy a mix of the full-size bottles and the mini size (great for travel) – if you’ve never tried this or if you’re looking for a good dry shampoo, I can’t say enough good things about this!
Charlotte Tilbury Blush My favorite blush was discontinued this year so I began the search for a replacement & this one has become my new favorite.  I know it’s expensive for blush, but I don’t use a lot of it so I know it will last me for a while + I haven’t found anything else that blends or stays put as well as this does.  I use the Pillow Talk Intense shade (a mauvey rose hue)  but I’m thinking about ordering in Ecstasy (a peachy pink) for the summer months.
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter This is one of my top 5 holy grail beauty products – it works like magic to blur imperfections and give you a luminous glow without the need for makeup.  I apply this after my primer & before my CC cream to create a lit-from-within effect (I use the Light shade).  But, on days when I’m not wearing foundation, I’ll put my sunscreen on with this on top & it’s the perfect amount of light coverage.  You can also use it over your foundation just on cheekbones & down the bridge of your nose as a highlighter.
It Cosmetics CC+ Cream This is the best full-coverage foundation, in my opinion.  It blends well, doesn’t look heavy & has a natural-looking finish.  I have recommended this to so many of you since I started using it and you’ve all told me how much you love it!  They’ve come out with so many different versions (see them all here), but I still prefer the original formula.  I use the Light shade in the winter/spring and switch to Light Medium in the summer/fall.  It has SPF50 built-in, along with hyaluronic acid, peptides & collagen for anti-aging benefits.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Hands down, the best brow pencil on the market.  Anytime this goes on sale, I order extra because I’m so scared of running out!  I was using Soft Brown before, but once I started adding more highlights to my hair, I switched & now use Taupe, which looks softer & more natural with my lighter strands.
Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides I’ve been using this powdered collagen for years and swear by it for a healthy gut – I also attribute it to making my nails so strong.  I stir one scoop into my coffee each morning – it’s flavorless & dissolves completely so you don’t even know you’re drinking it (you can also add it to smoothies, oatmeal, etc.).  I usually buy the largest size tub, but the individual serving packets are great for travel or on the go.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer I bought the mini size of this bronzer to try out and I’ve been amazed by how long it’s lasted me.  I use the Radiant Finish and it gives my skin the perfect sunkissed glow.  So many bronzers I’ve tried look too orange or ruddy, but this one has a realistic warmth that’s really flattering.
Supergoop Glowscreen Sunscreen I mentioned this last month after I used it for the first time & I can’t recommend it enough!  It provides you with SPF40 & has the most lightweight feel of any sunscreen I’ve used.  Plus, it has a slight tint to it & it gives you the prettiest glow – perfect for no makeup days!
Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Volumizing Mousse I still try other volumizing products from time to time, but I always seem to come back to this mousse.  It actually makes my hair look thicker and doesn’t have a sticky residue + I love how lightweight it feels.

Considering that Makeup is my forte, I want to share my favorite Makeup Artist tips that I use every time I do a clients Makeup. When working with clients before weddings, photoshoots or on set there are many hacks that I have created or learned along the way in the 12 years that I have been doing Makeup. Most of these hacks I like to pass along to my clients while I am working on them, or when I am teaching aspiring Makeup Artists the tricks of the trade. Who wouldn’t love to have multiple different hacks to use when they are preparing their skin or doing their makeup. I know that these Makeup Artist tips have made my makeup applications go much smoother and save your life when your in a crisis and on a time crunch. These simple but sometimes weird hacks are what makes my job a bit easier every time.
Exfoliating Skin
While preparing the skin, it is best to always start off with a clear canvas, the easiest and simplest way to do that to give the most effect and best for all skin types is to use an aloe vera based enzyme peel. I use Aloette’s Aloe Vera Enzyme Peel, which takes 60 seconds to do, with no mess at all. It is super safe for the skin types and aloe vera is perfect for everyone. This enzyme peel works like a charm and removes all that dead skin in no time. Aloette’s products are all aloe vera based and are honestly simply amazing for you skin. You can find the enzyme peel here www.aloette.com/kfowler
Moisturizing Skin
Once you are done with your peel and your skin is exfoliated, I always apply micellar water, which is water with an oil base and this can be used for just about anything. I use it as a makeup remover, skin cleanser, toner, moisturizer and to clean and fix up any mistakes you make while applying makeup. Micellar water is a miracle water and I have been using it for many years on my own skin. I suffer from rosacea and acne, so my skin is ultra sensitive and this is what I use to clear it all up and to maintain it from coming back. So, micellar water is perfect for every skin type and just about anything that you need to clean or correct.
Oily Skin
Using oil is something that can also be used for multiple things, you might not believe this but oil is a perfect moisturizer for any skin type. Especially if you have oily skin or acne, using oil on your face will counterbalance the natural oils in your skin. After about a week of putting it on your face at bedtime you will begin to see a decrease in the natural oils on your face and eventually your skin will not be oily any more. I love using it on my clients because it really helps to get rid of any unwanted dry skin before putting makeup on. But, if you are going to put it on before you apply makeup, make sure to remove it with micellar water or setting spray before putting your makeup on. We don’t want to see any oil residue through your makeup. The best oil for your face would be coconut oil, rosehip seed oil or jojoba oil.
Primer
Always use primer underneath all your makeup, by not applying primer you are wasting all your hard work on your makeup application. I always start off with an exfoliated and smooth canvas, moisturized of course and then spray with setting spray. Then apply your primer all over your face and be careful not to rub it in, but rather dab it in with your dampened beauty blender. Once it is dry you will spray it again with your setting spray before beginning to apply the makeup. I also will use 2 types of primers and mix it together so that you can create more benefits for the skin. Using the correct primer for the exact skin type, for aging skin you can use an anti aging primer along with a silicone primer to set it in all the fine lines and pores. For much younger skin, you could use a dewy primer mixed with a silicone primer to give it the dewy effect but also having the full coverage primer that will cover all the large pores and keep away the shine. There are many types of primers and being a makeup artist you will want to carry one of each type that is needed, liquid for all skin types, oil based for very dry skin which contains more shine, cream based for dry skin, water based with a transparent cover for all skin types especially acne prone and blemished skin, mineral based suitable for all skin types even sensitive. The texture of the primers fall into these categories, matte designed for oily to combination skin that will provide satin results with no shine and shiny with shimmering particles added to the formula for a pearl and radiant complexion. Then the primers have specific coverage which included, invisible which is suitable for brighter skin, which included toning moisturiser with water based tinting which can included some sunscreens that will provide a natural and flawless look of your skin, Average coverage which cover 60% of uneven skin, try avoiding water based formulas so that you can be provided with the best results for even skin. My variety of primers include anti aging, dewy/radiance, matte, silicone, minerals  and color correcting. They also come in multiple formulas cream, liquid, oil, spray, lotion and balm. Sensitive skin and rosacea can use aloe vera gel as a primer and it is great to carry in your kit. You can decided on the variety of primers to carry on you but as it is with every makeup product that there is in my kit there is always a large variety of each product so that I am prepared for any skin type that I am working with.
Fixing Foundations
Also, using oil on your beauty blender to dampen it before putting on your foundation will make the application much smoother and the more oil you apply the sheerer the foundation will become. This works best with full coverage foundation or cream foundation and cream makeup products. You can also apply the oil straight to the cream foundation or any cream base makeup to create a smoother consistency makeup coverage. You can work with a variety of face oils or coconut oil to create a flawless makeup coverage. This technique also works well with any cream based face paints.
Cream Makeup Products
Always apply any liquid products or cream underneath the foundation and setting powder. By not doing so and applying everything on top of your set makeup the cream will not be able to blend in properly and it will cake over. Anything like liquid highlighters, cream blush, color correctors, cream contour or any face products that come in a cream or liquid form that are not a foundation or concealer need to always go underneath the foundation to achieve the best results. I do apply my concealer before the foundation as well, then putting a foundation or tinted bb cream over top and if you still have imperfections that are not covered as well you can apply a bit of the liquid concealer over top then setting it with the translucent setting powder, then with a small eye shadow brush take the setting powder and dab it on top of your imperfection and let it sit as you would bake your face. Always use yellow concealer to color correct all redness, acne and scars, use it to brighten up all problem areas.  Remembering that if your foundation is to thick you can always apply a few drops of oil to it to make it more sheer. Then continue applying all powder contours and highlighters before setting your makeup.
Powdered Eyeliner
When applying eyeliner, use black eyeshadow or brow shadow with a thin angled brush. Always wet the brush with water or setting spray before dipping it into the shadow, then apply the desired amount to the upper lash line. By wetting your brush before hand, it allows the eyeshadow to stick to the brush, there will be no fall off and it will apply on the eyelid smoothly and more pigmented. By using the eyeshadow this allows anyone who is new to makeup to apply it in an easier fashion and if you make a mistake it is super easy to wipe off and start again. I would suggest using q tips with some micellar water on it to remove any mistakes. To prevent mistakes from happening, you can use a scotch tape just under where you want your winged liner to be and when you are finished, you just remove it. There is such thing as eyeliner shadow now and Aloette does carry it on their website, I absolutely love this product because when it dries it actually looks like you used a liquid eye liner. I am sure there are other makeup companies that carry the same type of product as well.
Liquid Eyeliner
For more experienced artists who do use a liquid, gel or pencil eyeliner well, to create amazing winged eyeliner effects. When applying the eyeliner always apply a powder eyeshadow over top to seal it in, applying it with an angled brush directly over the existing eyeliner. Always remember to start your eye makeup off with a primer, and eyeshadow primer or a full coverage concealer will do the trick, I set it with powder so that nothing will crease and your makeup will be very pigmented and stay in place. Most of the time when you don’t apply anything over the liquid eyeliner, it tends to start to run later in the day when sweat and humidity are involved. Remember to always set your makeup with setting spray at the end and this will give that extra lock in for your eye makeup. The last thing you want is for the makeup to run and for your look to be ruined half way throughout the day, especially when you are doing makeup on a client and they are at their wedding or event. You want to do everything to prevent any makeup or eye makeup to ever run, so you need to take every step you can to prevent this from happening.
False Eye Lashes
There are multiple ways to enhance your clients eyelashes, you can use false lashes, single or cluster lashes, there is now magnetic lashes, they can opt to just use fiber lashes or use nothing. If they choose to use the fiber lashes, which most people that find false lashes uncomfortable, to prep you need to cover underneath the eyes with some eye patches or use the cotton pads and cut them in half and you can tap them or wet them with an eye cream or serum, then as you can start with using a spooly to separate the lashes, curl them with an eyelash curler, apply some regular mascara, then begin to use the fiber mascara, applying alternating coats of the lash primer, followed by the fibers and put it on repeat until you have the desired lashes, always using a spooly to keep everything separate and seal it all in with some regular mascara. Instead of using a fiber mascara or false lashes, use mascara and setting powder to build up your lashes. If your client prefers to use false lashes there is certain steps to attain to get your clients false lashes to a comfortable wearing position. First you figure out what eye size they have and weather to use full lashes or thinner lashes, maybe even using the singles or clusters, then you will size them to their eyes and cut the lashes if required always cut from the outer lash. Then you will separate the lashes with spooly, curl them with an eyelash curler, coat them with mascara, then take the lashes and apply white or clear glue by squirting the glue on a paper towel and using a toothpick to apply the glue to the lashes, then let the glue set until it is sticky not by blowing on them directly you can get a small fan or a usb fan that plugs into your phone to fan the lashes and using tweezers apply the lashes to the upper lash line just above the natural lashes and leave it sit, then take a new toothpick and use it to apply light pressure to the middle first then the inner lash and then the outer lash and hold it there for a few seconds, followed by the tweezer pushing the false lashes gently at the end, then repeat on the other eye, once they are dried you can begin to spooly the lashes together and using coats of mascara to lift the natural lashes to the false lashes. Always reminding the client that the heaviness of the lashes will soon disappear as they dry and they will become more comfortable that they won’t even notice them.
Lips
Your lips will be the one of the last steps that you do before spraying your face, to being with your lips you need to first apply concealer or an eye primer to your entire lips, you can then set it with setting powder. Followed by lining your lips with a lip liner, you can also use a nude colored liner to line your lips much larger or you can use a clear no color running liner. Another great and useful idea is to use a clear eyebrow stick pomade to line your lips and it will stop the lipstick from running as well. Once you have lined your lips then you can apply your lipstick or multiple lipsticks to create any color that you wish. I use a small flat lip brush to apply lipsticks and I always apply a darker color around the outside of the lips and in the center you can apply the lighter colors. Then when your first layer of lipstick is on you can use a face blotting paper to remove any access oils, then apply your liquid lipsticks over top. Once you have your desired color, can set it with a setting powder or you can also use toilet paper placed over the lips and apply the setting powder with a large powder brush. I always top it off with some powder highlighter in the center of the lips and some gloss on top and spray it with setting spray and your ready to go with lips that will not smudge or move throughout the night. Any bride that you have will be amazed at how a few simple tricks can hold your regular lipstick into place like that. To carry all my lipsticks that I desire in my kit without having bags full of lipsticks, I have a empty deep palette or if you can’t find one go to the dollar store and get a weekly pill container and melt all of your lipsticks with a candle and a spoon, and store them in your palette or homeaid pallette. Put them in a color coordinated pattern starting with all the nudes and beige colors, to pinks, to reds, to purples, to browns and blacks. Always using it by scooping a bit out and smearing it on your palette to mix the colors and applying them with your small flat lipstick brush.
These are my 10 makeup commandments that I swear by and I follows these each and every time I apply makeup to a client or even myself. These Makeup Artist tips save you and your clients from having to touch up their makeup throughout the night and they will be so impressed with the quality of makeup application and how you applied it that they will become a regular client for you and your makeup artistry business and they will definitely spread the word about how amazing of a job you did. Always keep these Makeup Artist tips in your back pocket and in your Makeup tool kit. Trust me as you continue to grow as an artist you will have your own set of Makeup Artist tips that you will always use and pass on to your clients and students. I hope these tips will help you as you go along in your journey as a Makeup Artist.
