i  think  ren  deserves  to  infodump  about  weapons  more  often.  it's  one  of  the  few  unambiguously  POSITIVE  subjects  that  can  actually  get  him  talking  in  full  paragraphs.  he  tries  to  act  like's  above  it  all,  like  he's  beyond  the  very  concept  of  such  childish  bouts  of  genuine  enthusiasm  —  but  he  isn't. swords are very cool, actually. ( all weapons are; pick a type, any type — watch him go with a little COAXING. ) speedrun forcing him to remember what experiencing dopamine feels like. it's not simple self-indulgence if he tricks himself into thinking he's educating someone else.

in  a  similar  vein ...  due  to  its  mechanical  nature,  i  feel  it's  likely  he  had  minimal  influence  over  designing  his  (  parasitic  )  fatui  catalyst.  he  always held a bit of a grudge over  that  —  enough  so  that  he  doesn't  really  CARE  what  became  of  it  because  he  never  formed  an  attachment.  a  weapon  for  a  weapon.  useful  at  the  time,  but  much  like  himself,  easily  discarded  when  its  utility  ran  its  course.

he prefers his current catalyst anyway. ( he's very methodical about keeping it polished. )

Real Name: Mahakanta (abandoned)

Faceclaim: Maalo (Sacrificial Princess)

Nicknames: Tullah

Age: 600+

Race: Beastfolk (armadillo), Weapon Personification.

Affiliation: Healer/Priest (former), Sumeru, Wanderer (preferably just mine unless its a-ok)

Personality: do not let her stature and cute looks fool you, this armadillo-like entity has quite the attitude.

She may be small but one should watch themselves around this beastfolk, she did not lived throught the chaotic times the desert faced in the olden days, to be underestimated.

But despite her overall personality being quite a handful, she is taught wisdom like all priests were in the past.

Abilities:

Sturdy Shell/Rolling attacks/Speed Digging, etc

Healing hands.

Oustanding control over Anemo

Astral Projection

HCs:

While she highly doubt about being the last beastfolk alive, she is the last priest of yore, still standing to this day, in a way.

Whatever the bell-like Catalyst has done, Mahakanta is now merged with this weapon, eventually abandoning her real name and simply going by Tulaytullah, if to honor this fallen city.

The weapon was to be a form of tribute but it had other plan for this armadillo.

All priests, in order to fight corruption or simply tend to the injuried, are taught Healing Hands and it was no different for her.

Given she is technically a weapon and not that much of a human, nothing of what has been erased, has been forgotten by Mahakanta. Despite that, she intend to follow with the changes.

Each Beastfolk has an unique ability to themselves and hers is astral projection.
