OK, Elena is the MC I made for the parent path. She's gonna be the MC for the Barlow, Wyatt or other parent routes (ex w/ adoption???). My other MC (J.J) will be taking on the sibling + Fiffer and Monroe routes.

She has things together, but things always seem to go wrong when Barlow is involved.

The death of their father hit them hard ... they're still grieving the loss (often catching themselves wanting to text him about something cute 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞 did ... then just sitting there once they remember he's dead & that isn't possible anymore ... 😭)

When 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝟷ˢᵗ started transitioning their dad helped them pick their name; they had top surgery ≈ 𝟸 years after 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞 was born (once he stopped breastfeeding) 🏳️‍⚧️

𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞'𝐬 middle name (“𝐎𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫”) was his Grandpa's 𝟷ˢᵗ name 😢

𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐧'𝐬 fave sport is baseball; their bat is actually from their varsity baseball days ⚾ (so R.I.P. to anyone they strike with it)

𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞 is the result of artificial insemination, they decided they didn't NEED to wait for a partner just to have a child 🤱🏽 (+ from the beginning their dad was very involved & super supportive of them & his future grandbaby... the 𝟹 of them lived together until he passed away)

𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐧 snorts when they laugh 🤣 (they find it VERY embarrassing)

Once they're “fully settled” (i.e. they have more free time) they plan to start some veggie/fruit/herb gardens 👩🏽‍🌾

During 𝟷 of their days off, 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐧 took 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞 to a farm auction; they bought matching 𝘤𝘰𝘸𝘣𝘰𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘴, a 𝘣𝘢𝘳𝘯, & some animals 🐖🐐🐤

They anonymously donated $𝟻𝟶𝟶𝟶 to 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐢'𝐬 health fund ... they know how troubling medical bills can be, because of their father 🏥 (+ they're financially sound enough to “pay it forward”)

So I was talking with a friend recently, and got the age-old “how are you doing” question. My response was that I was alright, just going through “ups and downs and lemons.” Lemons has now officially made it into my ever-expanding vocabulary of food-related words I use in non-food related topics.

the thing that I love the most about when life give you lemons is the relationship you can have with your kid. If you decide to be a good parent is so cute to read the way your kid talks about you 😭 as someone who does not want kids irl but loves to have one in fiction this game really checks all the boxes, can't wait for it to come out!
