🍓; how did you get into writing fanfiction?

I was probably, idk, 11 or 12 or something and really into kingdom hearts ii at the time. back then, I was friends with a lot of people from forums (which, in hindsight, was wild that I was doing that bc quite a few of those "friends" were def groomers 💀) and one of them actually sort of told me about the existence of fanfiction and that she liked writing House fanfic w/ the main guy and his sidekick or whoever he is.

I was already writing little short stories by that point, thought it'd be cool to write self-insert fic of me kicking ass alongside sora and xenmas being utterly, obsessively in love with me (11/12y/o cort had zero chill). from there, I went into writing ffvii fanfic where both sephiroth and cloud were world-endingly devoted to me.

so, like, I was already pussy deep in that self-insert/reader-inserts life from the get-go. I think I only ever wrote in third-person, like, a handful of times bc I fucking hated it then and I hate it now 👍🏻

thank you, random 15/16y/o forum girl I was friends with who told me how much of her innermost world involved two dudes from a tv show gettin' it on. truly, had she never told me about fanfic, I'd probably never have started writing it lmao

coming off of a very bittersweet divorce from my original blog that I had had for over 12+ years bc I really needed to... separate myself from that old identity and just restart from the ground up, I wanted a username that was not attached to that old identity in any way, shape, or form. so, I threw together 2kmps which is actually shortened from "two kilometers per second". why? idk lmao

i fucking LOVE akusai and i wish we had many more scenes w them together (hopefully we'll get more in the future) but i'm also happy with what we already have ESPECIALLY saix's death when the two of them are talking and lea says "i didn't forget you" and isa says "i know.. you wouldn't do that" because he just KNOWS lea that well and knows he would never forget anyone important to him even after everything that went down. he knew axel would never forget the isa he grew up with the isa who was always there for him. even if he found himself in front of saix, a ruthless member of organization xiii and xenmas' loyal soldier, the isa he knew would live forever in his memories. they both knew axel would never forget those memories even if he was a nobody, even if they are now just a distant memory. and i fucking love them so much because regardless of everything that happened to the both of them they still understood each other in the end.

another line i fucking love is lea screaming "YOU LET THEM REDUCE YOU TO THIS??" especially the way the va said it its perfect and i love it and it fucking shatters my heart. i swear to god these twochanged something in my brain and i hate it. and i hate that saix is such a fuckin deep and interesting character but at the same time hes all over the place.

we know everything starts bc lea and isa wanna save the girl they saw in ansem's castle. okay, cool. we know they become nobodies and try to make saix an important member of org xiii also bc of this. but then what, we know isa grows jealous of axel's new friends and starts to act on that jealousy and they slowly drift apart. but then we see saix in kh2 get defeated and desperately asking kingdom hearts where did his heart go. and he always says how nobodies shouldn't feel and all that shit and just. is it because he started having negative thoughts only after becoming a nobody? was it to convince himself that he wasn't feeling anything towards lea? was he because he was ashamed of himself for losing his original plan? because he forgot about the girl and only worries about axel leaving?

and also the scar on his face. WHY SQUARE ENIX WHY DID YOU CREATE SUCH A GOOD CHARACTER BUT ALSO GAVE US NOTHING???? YOU BETTER BRING HIM BACK HIS STORY IS NOT OVER UNTIL I SAY IT IS
