i interacted with some parrots today i actually have not had so much fun in a while they were so nice

1. WHAT IS YOUR NAME? “José Carioca!”

2. WHAT IS YOUR REAL NAME? “...What? I just told you. José Carioca. Do you mean the nicknames? Joe or Zé is what others call me!”

3. DO YOU KNOW WHY YOU’RE CALLED THAT? “Oh! It is so much pride for me! I am named after the wonderful man who gives me my voice! He inspired so much of how I am! His name is José Oliveira! I am hoping that his spirit will always live on in me! Though I am not as great as he was! And my surname, Carioca, it is a word that means I live in Rio de Janeiro.”

4. ARE YOU SINGLE OR TAKEN? “I am in a long lasting committed monogamous relationship with Donald! Incredible! There are other people who will tell you other things. What I say is the truth.”

5. WHAT ARE YOUR POWERS AND ABILITIES? “I can always find new ways to disappoint the people who love me!”

6. WHAT COLOR ARE YOUR EYES? “Usually red or blue! I can change them when I wish! Or sometimes the color changes on it’s own.”

7. HAVE YOU EVER DYED YOUR HAIR? “Hair I do not have. But I have dyed my feathers.”

8. DO YOU HAVE ANY FAMILY MEMBERS? “Zico and Zeca are my nephews! There is a common naming tradition in my family you will notice. Zé Paulista, Zé Jandaia, Zé Pampeiro, Zé Queijinho and Zé Baiano are all cousins. Zé Goiano and Zé do Engenho are uncles. Tio Pororoca is another uncle who escapes the name Zé. Their names are like mine, the surname describes where they live usually. I have been with Donald long enough that he is like family and his family is like family to me. I mean, if they wish to think of me as family! No obligation! Walt is absolutely my father and he will always be. I am grateful that I have not been designed a cartoon father because it would feel strange to me. How could he live up to Walt? Also, Jorge Kato was much like a father to me. He was there for me during difficult times and he helped me in ways that cannot be measured. Oh, I cannot describe how much Jorge did for me. Most anyone who is Disney is like family in my mind. And I have many friends who feel like family to me.”

9. DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS? “It i always short-lived and never a sincere relationship. I do not think I word that right but hopefully you understand. I just mean I have been sometimes been given pets, but it does not seem to work out. I am not so good with taking care of others. I try, but... You know! Irresponsible in many ways!”

10. TELL ME ABOUT SOMETHING YOU DON’T LIKE. “I am in a good mood so I have a hard time thinking of anything. I suppose I will say that cultural difference. It is usually a good thing! But sometimes it is hard to adapt in some situations. Like in Brazil, my rule-breaking nature is a good thing. We in Brazil know that people are often... systemically oppressed I think is the way you say it. So many rules are made to keep you in a bad spot. But in other cultures, my cheating and my lying and my sneaky ways to make money make me a bad guy. So many cultures like to pretend that the law is right.”

11. DO YOU HAVE ANY HOBBIES OR ACTIVITIES YOU DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME? “I sleep and I sleep and I sleep. I like to paint, but my motivation is nothing and so I do not do it much. I am also very much for parties of all kinds”

12. HAVE YOU EVER HURT ANYONE BEFORE? “Hasn’t everyone hurt someone before? I think any one who would say no to this is a liar.”

13. HAVE YOU EVER… KILLED ANYONE? “I am familiar enough with your American laws to say that I have the right to remain silent... This is a joke. I am a cute cartoon parrot. I don’t kill.”

14. WHAT KIND OF ANIMAL ARE YOU? “I am a jitterbird. We jitterbirds have this name for a reason. Do you know the quaker parrot? Quaker parrot has this name because it does a quaking motion when it is happy. Jitterbirds are similar. But I am old and do not jitter like I used to, so do not expect to see it from me”

15. NAME YOUR WORST HABITS. “HA. We don’t have time for that! I will not force you to sit here for many hours while I name all of them!”

16. DO YOU LOOK UP TO ANYONE? ”I admire so many and so deeply that it is ridiculous. There is almost always something that I am deeply respectful of in almost every person I meet.”

17. GAY, STRAIGHT, OR BISEXUAL? ”I am bisexual absolutely. The boss is always very insisting I pretend to like women only. I cannot tell you how much it annoys me.”

18. DO YOU GO TO SCHOOL? “No. I am glad to have skipped it. I was made already having knowledge. But if I was in school I would have had fun making trouble.”

19. DO YOU EVER WANT TO MARRY AND HAVE KIDS SOMEDAY? ”No to the first question. Already have kids. I am trying to keep it so that we do not adopt even more. We do not need a collection.”

20. DO YOU HAVE ANY FANS? "YES. I cannot tell you how much I adore each and every one of them! There are so many of them who do not know much about me, they miss all of that happens in Brazil! But their love is so deep and sincere! My fans are a reason I continue to live!”

21. WHAT ARE YOU MOST AFRAID OF? "Something bad happening to Zeca or Zico. They do not have as many people looking out for them as some other kids do. It is stressful to me. I envy those who have an endless list of people who will protect their kids.”

22. WHAT DO YOU USUALLY WEAR? ”I am either excessively well dressed or excessively casual. It is not hard to see what my typical outfits are.”

23. DO YOU LOVE SOMEONE? "I have so much love in my heart for so many. I hope they know that I love them. I hope I tell them and express it enough!”

24. WHAT CLASS ARE YOU? ”I would say I am in the top class of cartoons! Those who would not agree have poor taste.”

25. HOW MANY FRIENDS DO YOU HAVE? ”I want to say that I have thousands of friends! I could not say for certain what the number is, but it is so high!”

26. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON PIE? “Are you going to give me one? If you mention pie you had better be giving me one.”

27. FAVORITE DRINK? ”Put alcohol in it and I am good! I do not like an alcohol content that is too high. It begins to taste poor.”

29. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE? “My home, Rio. But if I had to stay there always, I would maybe become stir crazy. Travel is important to me... Oh, I love Rio so much though. If I was cursed to never leave, I would be alright, I think.”

30. ARE YOU INTERESTED IN SOMEONE? ”I think that everyone is interesting! Everyone has a story!”

31. WHAT’S YOUR DICK SIZE? “Do you mean dick as in rude personality? That is HUGE with me! But if you mean the other kind, I do not actually have one of those. It is not necessary.”

32. WOULD YOU RATHER SWIM IN THE LAKE OR THE OCEAN? “The ocean. The Atlantic is what I swim in the most. When you swim in the ocean, lakes just feel like so much less.”

33. WHAT’S YOUR ‘TYPE’? ”I think I could adore all types of people, but there is a certain type I am very drawn to in a sense of romantic loving. Energetic! Feisty! Caring deeply! It feels like I want someone who is my opposite.”

34. ANY FETISHES? “HA! Another question I could talk on for a long time! Do you want to be my hostage? Do you want me to talk forever or would you like this interview to end? I will say yes and leave it at that so that you may go home sometime.”

35. TOP OR BOTTOM? DOMINANT OR SUBMISSIVE? “I’ll be anything you want, Donald! Please!!! Please touch me!!!”

36. CAMPING, OR INDOORS? ”The indoors is what I prefer. I am not so good with camping. Donald’s nephews seem to enjoy it. I should maybe try to learn to like camping. But I do not want to.”
