Me months ago to my partner: Yeah I feel pretty good about our air change per hour rates with the two big air purifiers (and a corsi rosenthal box, now semi defunct and a small Levoit purifier)

Me today: I NEED ANOTHER BIG AIR PURIFIER

#I'm $250 poorer but I'm about to have a third big ass air purifier that's supposed to be both quiet and efficient #who wants meeeee #sainteself

#photo record #face tag #i bought weather sealing stuff to seal up my door frame a little better to mixed results. #overestimated the size of the gaps & once i put all the foam on i couldn’t close the door. LMAO!!!! #so i peeled a bunch back off & now it’s MESSY but it closes & the worst of the gaps are fixed now 👍 #so now i can be a little less insane about ~bad air~ getting into my room #and they didn’t have the kind of air purifier i wanted (i want to upgrade mine) so i ordered a new one while i was there too #so hopefully i will have as close to a little safe zone as i can manage #with the new air purifier it’ll change out air in here like every six minutes!!! crazy #i’ll have to go again & see if i can find thinner foam. now that i actually know what i need #struck down by hubris once again (not double checking before i left in the first place) #ok anyway now i’m gonna make frozen pizza 👍

#i’m suffering y’all #people at work were talking about what they do for allergies #one was like ‘i take a a zyrtec a day and never have allergies anymore’ #another was like ‘i run the air purifier every morning!’ #meanwhile i’m on 2 rx allergy meds #run 2 air purifiers 24/7 #and barely go outside when the pollen is bad #and i still end up having to put ice packs on my face #because it’s so swollen and itchy #allergy season #allergies #doctors

#i love this place i love volunteering there. they have air purifiers around the center and tell people in no other words that if they’re #feeling unwell in the slightest they shouldn’t come in. they’re offering free tests to anyone exposed. they’re doing so much more than so #many other places and a lot of times it’s a place im able to relax a bit #but im just. exhausted. a week from tomorrow will be the three year anniversary of my dad dying from covid so im already in a bad place #plus covid in general is a trigger for me because. yknow. i watched it slowly strangle the life from my father until he was a grey #breathless husk who couldn’t walk three steps or say three words without panting. and that was when we made him go to the hospital #and then the next time he came home it was just his ashes in a bag #but it’s been four years. five if you count the early cases that popped up in 2019. and we’re still dealing with this shit #im just tired of it. im too exhausted to have a full sobbing shaking breakdown so ive gone to the other end of the spectrum and just feel #heavy and hollow. i should probably have a big cry but i don’t have the tears or energy #vent tw #im just hoping my n95 and the air purifiers were enough to keep me from contracting it at all. the worry is the n95 could’ve been loose and #sometimes the metal on the nose loosens slightly but the mask was pretty new overall so im hoping it worked to its full capacity and kept #out any covid molecules so that i didn’t contract any #only time will tell i suppose. in the mean time #im just praying a lot bc that’s the only control i have. i will be saying the shema whenever i get too stressed about it

bro we had this issue all of last winter where the smell of cigarette smoke would be in our bathroom and house but it went away in the summer. but its BACK!!!! DIE!!!!
