Every time I rewatch the first season of Merlin, Arthur and Morgana's romantic tension hits me like a fucking truck over and over again

#I always forget that was a thing #I have two theories: #1) writers hadn't decided to make Morgana Uther's illegitimate child yet (doubtful) #2) they wanted to throw the audience off the reveal bc if they showed a purely sibling bond that would've made it obvious #it has to be one or the other bc they did NOT commit to that plot point #after the reveal that they're half-siblings the writers dropped the crushes Arthur and Morgana had on each other like a hot potato #never to be addressed or mentioned again #any love they feel for each other is thereafter portrayed as fully fraternal. no veiled attraction here no sir that was never a thing- #bbc merlin
