oh speaking of etymology the word hippopotamus from the ancient greek ippos (horse) and potamos (river) so hippos are River Horses. similarly the name phillip (phillippos in greek) comes from the words philo (friend (of)) and ippos (horse) so it means Friend Of Horses.

The Void

Since I was feeling overwhelmed by it I wanted to sublimate it trough writing, and here I am.

Trough various meditations and dreams I got many gnosis about the Void and much more entailed in its semantic area.

Similar to the Apophatic approach for theology, a soul's greatest achievement is surely reaching a state of Vacuity. Only Silence prevails in such state and it also gets to a whole new meaning, beyond what we're normally used to. The individual gets completely dissolved in all of its obstruction and illusions just to reach the apotheosis in Nothing, only pure Darkness in Silence. Back at the beginning of my path I acknowledge a State of existence beyond any dimensionality, such are its core principles.

Alogos; As the Silence being the only (Non-) thing that matters, the manifestation of the unmanifested, from the Sea of Nothingness, this is the Logos of Silence, The Word of the Aeon of the Aeons.

Azothos - Sothoza; Paradoxical duality reunified, Life and Entropy in Silence, the Azoth. Vitality of Not, Infinite Pleasure in Absence of Desire, Eternal Dream of a Non-Life. Totality and Point-Individuality coexisting harmoniously.

Achronos; Eternal Present as a Dream, Aeons and Instants have no differences.

In what I call the Land of Silence, a state of existence and (A)dimensionality, the Perfected occultist abodes freely of everything but themselves, in a dead and dreamlike state, beyond dimensionality and time, in extreme ecstasy. Catholic Comfort

So, after waking up this morning I was browsing YT shorts - no, I don't have TikTok, I don't want TT, I have a rule in life that the most important thing you can do for yourself is 'know yourself'. I know myself well enough to know that while I struggle to create the habits and routines I *want*, I almost immediately set in stone the ones I had zero will or intention to make, and that would almost without doubt apply to TT. So I simply don't allow access to it lol. Anyway, a video about two sisters came up on my feed, one had taken her Vows and became a Catholic Nun. It was talking about the judgements people often make about a life within a Covenant. The sister who is not a Nun was speaking about what she observed her sisters life to be, within the order etc.

I was a little confused, I don't engage much with religion so I wasn't sure how the alogo-overlords connected me to this particular video. Clicking on the channel, I saw the young woman is something of a religious trad-wife.

For me the whole point of 'feminism' is not 'to only promote working mothers who are independent, high earners' but more that 'every person regardless of their gender, age, and socioeconomic, race, or other characteristic should have a choice on the life that they want and be supported in order to pursue and achieve that choice. If someone wants to be a stay at home parent, they should be able to do that. But equally if they wish to work, they should have support for that too. Additionally, and this is a much broader, nuanced conversation that I am not trying to get into in its entirety right now, I feel like life sometimes takes an unexpected turn. Whether a person in this moment believes that they currently want and will always want to be the stay and home spouse, this does not preclude the individual from falling victim to unexpected changes and them themselves changing their minds. I believe strongly it is wise to ensure all are educated in academic and life skills to a point where they can live independently and know how to enter the work force. If the working spouse suddenly passes away, the stay-at-home spouse may suddenly find themselves not only grieving, a single parent, but also having never been in the work force with no clue how to take that step. That's an overwhelming prospect to figure out while coming to terms with such a monumental loss. But, so anyway, all of this is to say that I don't understand why people make fun of Trad-Wives. Surely the point is CHOICE?

I got a little off my main point there, sorry - So, one of the YT shorts was talking about Catholicism being alive and well - which, I wasn't aware anyone was questioning, but okay. Suddenly, and super unexpectedly, I'm crying.

What. The. .... I dunno man.

I wasn't diagnosed as neurodivergent until my late twenties. But in hindsight, there's a lot of 'performance' in catholic worship, and I don't mean that in a negative, diminishing or insulting way. I recall my time at church with warmth, fondness, safety and community.

But for a kid who struggled with social nuance and interactions, going to a place every Sunday where the people were 'safe', there were 'costumes' (Sunday church clothes), 'actors' (our Father stood outside greeted us, and said goodbye to each of us at the end, while there were variations, it was a relatively known interaction. A stage (the alter, and where the Father spoke from, with a microphone.) with musicians (the band for the songs), with songs and scripts (hymns, and responses that were expected. Like 'The Lord be with you' and we respond 'and with your spirit' or 'and also with you'

I found comfort in that, while I had questions about higher powers and organised religion itself, I think maybe that's why I cried but I'm not sure and I would really love anyone else's thoughts here honestly.

Another language thing in Greek is that the technical term for horse is ippos, usually written as hippos in English (always adding H's). And you may be thinking "oh like hippopotamus:)" correct! Exactly like that. "Potamus" (Potami) means "river," so hippopotamus means River Horse. Because it lives in rivers and might vaguely resemble a fat horse if you squint. It's also in the name Phillipus. "Phil" coming from "Philo/philia" which means friend. So Philipus (or Philip) is a name that means Friend Of Horses.

Almost none of this information will do you much good in casual conversation though, because the word we ACTUALLY use for horses is... "Alogo." Which literally means "one without logic." That's right, much like babies, we decided horses are dumb pieces of shit and we should call them idiots instead of horses

My goal for 2023 was to scribble something every day...

That did not happen

My goal for 2024 is the same but I'm lowering the bar to 15min scribble.

This is to 1. Keep me motivated through burnout/fatigue/stress/anxiety that it's just a little bit of time (time is such a precious resource). And 2. To make sure I take breaks and actually analyse what I've done to help spot mistakes early. Worst thing is spending an hour on something to only notice the mistake at the end because of bad groundwork.

I find taking pictures and posting helps me find mistakes as I'm looking at my scribble from another perspective. This means I hope to post incremental 15 min progress doodles ect daily. This is SM suicide for artists but like I can't fight alogoes with a disability in my hand/arm; a 10 hour work day, and actually having to take care of myself anyway so may as well.

Tldr if you don't want to see my spam then blacklist tag theonlil wips.

Μπράβο σε όλους! 6 μήνες περιφέρεται το άλογο παστουρωμένο στο Τάρτι Λέσβου!

ΛΕΣΒΟΣ: Στις 4 Αυγούστου 2023 σας ενημερώσαμε για ένα άλογο στο Τάρτι Λέσβου το οποίο βρισκόταν με δεμένα τα πόδια στη μέση του δρόμου μέσα στη νύχτα (1η φωτογραφία). Για το περιστατικό είχε ενημερωθεί το 100.Και ενώ νομίζαμε ότι κάτι θα είχε γίνει αφου ενημερώθηκαν οι αρχές, σήμερα (14 Αυγούστου) ερχεται μια νέα καταγγελία. Το άλογο συνεχίζει να βρίσκεται στη… θέση του, παστουρωμένο και στη μέση του δρόμου ! Μάλιστα η σημερινή καταγγέλλουσα, μεταξύ 10 και 14 Αυγούστου επικοινώνησε διαδοχικά με το ΑΤ Μυτιλήνης, με την Αστυνομική Διεύθυνση Λέσβου και με το ΑΤ Γέρας, από όπου εν τέλει έλαβε και την εξής καταπληκτική απάντηση: «γνωρίζουμε το περιστατικό από το Φεβρουάριο [2023] και έχουμε στείλει ενημέρωση πριν από 2 μήνες [Ιούνιος 2023] στην Περιφέρεια και στον Δήμο για τις ενέργειές τους». Επίσης η αστυνομία δήλωσε ότι «δεν κατέστη δυνατόν να εντοπιστεί ο ιδιοκτήτης του αλόγου», αλλά ούτε και να κόψουν την «παστούρα» του γιατί δεν πλησιάζεται. Να σημειώσουμε εδώ ότι υπεύθυνες για την περισυλλο��ή των ανεπιτήρητων ιπποειδών είναι από τον Οκτώβριο 2022 οι Περιφέρειες της χώρας. Η ΚΙΒΩΤΟΣ Μυτιλήνης έχει στείλει επιστολή από 27/6/2023 ζητώντας να μάθουμε τι μέτρα έχουν ληφθεί για να εφαρμοστεί ο νόμος….και περιμένουμε απάντηση. Επειδή όμως η κοροϊδία μπορεί να μην έχει όρια, αλλά η υπομονή έχει, η ΚΙΒΩΤΟΣ Μυτιλήνης θα καταθέσει όλο το σχετικό υλικό στην Εισαγγελία Μυτιλήνης ζητώντας τη δική της παρέμβαση. Υπενθυμίζουμε ότι από τον Οκτώβριο 2022 είναι ΥΠΟΧΡΕΩΤΙΚΗ η ηλεκτρονική σήμανση («τσιπάρισμα») των ιπποειδών ώστε να αποφεύγονται αυτές οι εγκαταλείψεις. Μέχρι στιγμής μόνο 117 άλογα έχουν τσιπαριστεί σε ΟΛΟΚΛΗΡΗ τη Λέσβο. Και αν δεν αρχίσουν ΑΜΕΣΑ επιτόπιοι έλεγχοι από τις αρμόδιες κτηνιατρικές υπηρεσίες -ξεκινώντας μάλιστα από τα γραφικά πανηγύρια μας όπου βλέπουμε δεκάδες άλογα να συμμετέχουν- περιστατικά όπως αυτό θα συνεχίσουν να είναι ο λυπηρός κανόνας.
