Update!!!

I’m so happy with how this is turning out so far. It’s a bit hilly, but I kinda like it this way! And it’s fitting since the island was formed from a volcanic eruption ;) I’ll still edit the terrain a bit (thank God for the modifyNeighborhoodTerrain cheat!) and delete those trees 😭

It’s gonna take a lot of work (probably a year) before I can start playing this ‘hood, but this has been so exciting so far! 😍

the pink-haired grunts while keeping you in place, soaking the small towel once again. "stop moving, y/n" his tone serious. you look up at him with doe-like eyes, "you know," you bring up a hand to cup his face.

"you look hot" your words less slurry than before. he hums while wringing the towel, he faces you and lightly pats it on your forehead, adding the right amount of pressure, "yeah? i think so too" he replies with a smug smile.

you giggle and put your index finger in front of your lips, "don't tell my boyfriend though." he raises a brow, his ministration halting, "you shouldn't compliment other men if you have one then."

you shrug at him with your eyes closed, "nothing wrong with complimenting other men. what if it makes a big difference and brightens their day huh?" you say with a cute pout.

"well i can't argue with that but isn't it weird you're out here calling someone else hot?" he leans back, smirking while watching you go through all emotion in clear amusement.

"but!" you let out a exasperated sigh, "if i say your hot then that would make my boyfriend the hottest! compliments doesn't mean i'm attracted to you," you mumble your last sentence, slowly falling asleep due to your eyes being closed.

"what if i were take it as a green signal to hit on you?" he continues to distract you, wanting to at least sober you up. "well you're dumb," you say unfiltered as sukuna chuckles at your statement.

"i would kindly ask you to back off as i've already informed you i have a boyfriend, thank you very much" you politely say while gently bopping your head.

"don't move your head too much, brat" he mutters, holding you still by your jaw. "hey! he's the only one allowed to call me that!" you complain, huffing at his statement.

-nanami kento

kento sighs, “your a menace, you aware of that?” he mutters while replacing your outfit with a more comfortable one. you giggle and nod at his words, “you’re not the first to tell me.”

the statement makes him raise a brow, “oh? who might the other one be?” you look back at him before exaggeratedly making a shushing noise, “promise me you won’t tell anyone,” you whisper, leaning closer to him as if someone would hear.

you hold out your pinky finger at him, “promise first before i tell you,” you say with your eyes scrutinizing his every move. kento’s lips turns up to a fond smile, following your actions. locking his pinky finger with you, “there.”

you take a moment, scanning his face before proceeding, all of a sudden serious with the situation. you straighten up and clear your throat, “his name is nanami kento.”

kento hums, leaning to his palm, intrigued by what'll slip past your pretty lips next. “him? anything you can say about the guy?” you immediately nod your head to his question.

”he‘s this grumpy dude. if i didn’t know him better i would’ve mistaken him as an old man!” kento is about to put a stop in your hurtful description when he's cut off by your next words, “despite all that, i love him with all my heart.”

you sigh dreamingly and hug yourself while looking in a distance, “others may view him cold and distant but,” you look back at him, “he’s far different from those!”

kento hums letting you spill your feelings out. it’s one way to sober you totally not because it boosts his ego while offering water in between stories.

-gojo satoru

satoru is aware of how others are sure that being drunk is basically like injecting a truth serum. he takes advantage of it, asking you question after question, eager to know the questions he's been holding back.

he's cheeky and subtle with it, concealing it behind simple icebreaker questions. "how was the night out with your friends, baby?" you frown and look at him while holding a hand up, signing him a 'hold up'. "baby?" you repeat after him.

"oh, aha, my bad, slipped my mind," he nervously chuckles, cold sweat glistening against his forehead. he haven't started and he's already busted? "back off, i already have an annoying boyfriend."

satoru was about to complain when you continue your little speech, "my hands are already full with that man-child. i would appreciate it if you do back off," you say while standing on your own feet, wobbling in the process.

blue eyes scans your figure, watching both in amusement and in awe. you cross your arms over your chest and glare at him, "off with your hands," you slur out while pointing at satoru's hand around your waist.

satoru can't help but give in, a silly smile playing on his lips, "baby, i got you. you don't remember calling me to pick you up?" he informs you while reaching out for your hands.

you continue to glare at him, doubting every words he utters while he continues to ensure you that he is your boyfriend.

satoru may not have gotten to test this truth serum theory but he will definitely do the next time you decide to drink yourself silly again.

-zenin naoya

naoya is far from fond on taking care of someone. but seeing you helpless without him has some of his heartstring pulled.

"come on now, can't even handle a little alcohol?" naoya teases keeping a firm grip around your waist, fully supporting your weight. you snort and throw your head back, "pfft, t'was nothing. i'm perfectly fine!" you drag out your words while exaggeratedly doing hand gestures.

"yeah? sure 'bout that?" he asks, having fun on riling you up. "of course!" you reply with confidence. naoya smirks and lets you go, standing by the side with his arms on his hips, watching as your wobble around.

all of a sudden feeling your weight, you feel your legs become jelly as you desperately reach out to him for support. "aww look at you not being able to do anything without me," he coos.

"mean naoya, mean" you mutter under your breath while his hands comes back from where they were before, "you saying something, sweetheart?" you smile up to him and shake your head.

"nothing. just.. i love you," your voice that is full of sincerity catches him off-guard. he clears his throat and looks ahead, holding your close to his side.

naoya's arrogant nature faltering as he meekly replies to you, "i know."

first introductions

dear reader,

hello! i realized that i haven’t introduced myself in here, so here we go. i realize that i might just be speaking into the void here, but for all the travelers who have gone astray on this path, i bid you a warm hello, all the same!

my name is amihan, and i’m 19. i’m studying french (le fléau de mon existence 😩🤌) and spanish in college and i aspire to be a translator living in a cottage in the woods 😌 one of my greatest passions, however, has always been writing and i’ve been doing it since i was 13. i used to do both poetry and prose before i took a long three year break from writing after i gave the first draft of my first novel to someone who truly didn’t deserve it (a long story 😀).

but i’ve moved on from that.

at the moment, i’m stepping back into the swing of things and i really hope that this time, it sticks. i mainly write romance (to make up for the extreme lack of action in my life in that department) and magical realism. i’m not planning on writing anything to publish right now, but i am writing for my ships, in the meantime. my favorite books are the god of small things by arundhati roy and fahrenheit 451 by ray bradbury. i mostly read fanfiction though and my ships are (eternal) sterek, robinthorn, and (occasionally) destiel. i am a strong believer that transformative works are a truly valid genre of art, and if you don’t then you can gtfo 😌

狐火 (out of darkness, came the light)

Summary:

Following the events of the war, Hatori Chise has returned to her home in Elias' cottage. She believes she has found peace in the warmth of her new family and she believes that she can truly say that she is happy. However, the darkness of her past remains to be unsolved and threatens to overtake her newfound serenity. As such, she has decided to avoid it ever since she decided to sell herself in the auction. However, a dream and the consequent arrival of a certain fox, may force her to learn about her past and find a way to make it a part of her story, instead of detaching herself from it.

Elias, being her student on human things, learns a lot as a result.

In other words, Chise's past catches up to her and stirs things up.

In honor of MadaTobi Week 2018 (@madatobiweek), I’ve made a master list of all my favorite fanfics* for this ship! I’ll also be continuously updating this post even after the week is over. Full list under the read more, as this post gets extremely long. (Updated: July 29, 2018)

Some quick notes before y’all read:

This list is meant to serve as a guide for someone looking for Madara/Tobirama centric fics. However, it is heavily influenced by my own personal preferences (see general tags listed below) and what I find enjoyable might not be the same for everyone.

Tags applicable for the entire list in general, unless specified otherwise: Canon Divergent/AU, Canon-Level Violence, Enemies to Lovers, Comedy, Madara is a Dumbass, Fluffy/Light Fics with Minimal Angst, (or Angst with Happy Endings), OC-Friendly, Worldbuilding, Politics, Eventual Relationship. Dormant fics stand for work-in-progress (WIP) fics that haven’t updated in a year or longer.

Or, Senju Tobirama has come unstuck in time. He should really stop trying out his new experimental Jutsus on himself.

4. Slight Miscalculation by Nillegible

Summary:

It was the slightest miscalculation. Fractional to an absurdly small amount. Something that wouldn't have mattered at all in any other context, even to a perfectionist like Tobirama.

Tobirama misses his mark by one hour, four minutes, and forty-three seconds, give or take fifteen, and when you compare it to the time he's jumped back through, (twenty-two years, nearly) that seems like such an infinitesimal period of time. Surely the consequences of that mistake could not be life changing?

Yet Tobirama opens his eyes in the past, just in time to see his sword slide deep into Izuna's side. Sees the pain and hatred on the other man's face, and for the first time in nearly his whole life Tobirama panics. He triggers another seal, and vanishes with the Uchiha heir, to the horror of those around them.

5. You’ve Got The Wrong Man by Nanimok

Summary: Madara's attempt at courtship is awkward at best.

Summary:

Two years ago, Madara reached out to Hashirama when Izuna was mortally wounded. They met by the river where they once dreamed of peace with their little brothers in tow. Two years ago, Tobirama agreed to heal the wound he made at Hashirama's behest, and the beginnings of a treaty was born. One year ago, Konahagakure was founded on that treaty.

Madara's sight began to deteriorate long before that.

(Or Madara takes a calculated risk, and building a little bit of trust between former enemies goes a long way.)

8. you're not a good shot (but i'm worse) by BoyishStutter

Truth be told, I was highly considering adding DonKoogrr’s series All You're Giving Me is Fiction as part of my Top Ten, but...the first fic in the series is angsty enough to scare me. And I can’t in good conscience recommend a series that I haven’t completely read. I have read the rest of their work after it however, and enjoyed them a lot!

Elenathehun’s characterizations for Tobirama and Madara are some of the best I’ve read, and every chapter she writes leaves me eager for the next! Check out a thread that won't be cut, Blighted, and Chapter 06 of Shipping Drabbles for her stuff. Though heads up, the first two have been dormant for a while.

FoxCollector has some angstier fics that I’ve avoided (because ouch, even from the summaries alone) but here’s some of their lighter fics than I can definitely reccomend: A Ghost of A Chance, I Only Want Sympathy (in the form of you crawling into bed with me), and I hang my heart (I hang it over your heart)!

Hiruma_Musouka (@hiruma-musouka)

Coming Home is one of the few purely angst fics for this pair that I’ve braved through, simply because Hiruma_Musouka’s writing is just that good. Her MadaTobi fics are lengthy treasures, and I especially find myself constantly rereading the much lighter A Ridiculous Tale, Naruto Soulmate Stories and We're just winging it.

My all-time favorite MadaTobi writer! The fics are must reads!

My all time-favorite MadaTobi writer, as you can tell from The Unthinkable and You’ve Got the Wrong Man both being in my Top Ten! Nanimok hits that perfect blend of humor, fluff and slight angst that hits me every time, and I LOVE every one of their works. Special love goes to A Brief Outing Into Another Dimension, Hotpot of Drabbles, Putting the 'Pun' in Puncture Wounds.

Recommended reads from sanjuno is their series Truth In Hyperbole along with O-Bon Appetite and The Waters and the Wild. I also suggest that you go through their MadaTobi tag on tumblr, where they’ve got a bunch of great drabbles and fics that aren’t on AO3, along with neat headcanons and meta! They’re a joy to read.

theformerone (@the-formerone)

God I would die for theformerone’s fics, and you know what? Reading them makes you feel like you have. She’s one of my favorite fanfic authors in general, but specific favorites for this pair include the weather can make or break your day and more like a song (and less like it's math), and I absolutely adore her fic before you! It’s quite a heavy fic that has MitoSaku as the main pair (MadaTobi is secondary), but if you’re down for that I very much recommend that you read it!

Summary: The one where Tobirama goes off to rip holes in the Veil, and Madara deals. Poorly and in the most Extra Dramatic Uchiha Fashion he can Possibly Achieve.A fic primarily about pining and Madara doing it badly. After 5 years of dating. (And then the consequences thereof.)

It Takes A Village by copyninken (Mature, Multi-Chapter)

Summary: Founders era nonsense about building a village, the rise and fall of one fool named Madara Uchiha (falls in love - har har), and some lethargic writing about health insurance, unions, and cultural peculiarities.

A ruined nap by Sylencia (Mature, One Shot)

Summary: After a night out with his brothers and the Uchihas, all Tobirama wants is to rest and hope his hangover will pass. Of course, nothing goes according to the plan!

Blatant Displays of Emotionality by Yagura (Teens and Up, One Shot)

Summary: In which Tobirama catches half a clue. Madara catches the other half, and somehow it all works out.

Jealousy by SleepyxAsh (Teens and Up, One Shot)

Summary: Tobirama and Madara are working together on a diplomatic mission with a man from the Stone Village. The only problem is that Madara can't stand him because he likes looking at Tobirama's ass a bit too much. Tobirama is clueless, and insists that Madara is overreacting, and Hashirama is absolutely no help when he goes to him for advice. He doesn't even like the stupid white-haired freak, so why does he care at all? And what is with this incessant fluttering sensation in his stomach?

Summary: He couldn’t NOT inform Tobirama of [his survival]. The latest is he’ll inform him after two years, after he’s recovered and more or less adjusted […] The two of them in Temujin, anyone? But in the end it’s a losing battle for Madara once Tobirama ages.

Summary: "The origin of the Shodaime's necklace didn't start with him, nor was it ever really about him. Summary: Madara wakes up to his hair trying to kill him.

Summary: “Dammit Hashirama, I swear on the Fire God’s eternal flame that if you’ve pissed off your house again, I’m going to let it kill you with absolutely zero regrets.” Madara growls into the receiver of the phone, head still achy and throbbing from having to coax his aunt’s house all yesterday in order to let the masons come and fix the exterior without It trying to cause accidents. It’s too fucking early to deal with Hashirama’s drama queen of a house. Of fucking course his nearest and dearest would have houses that were persnickety and have difficult personalities that necessitated regular placation.MadaTobi AU where Madara has (slight) House magic, among other magic. (Or, I thought about Madara being able to speak to houses, then the Sumigakure prompt for Modern Magical happened. I regret nothing.)
