I swear every now and then I'm like "hmmm I mean maybe I'm not really that non binary. I don't really mind that much stuff with gender and am kinda cis passing" and then I talk to a cis woman for 5 minutes about womanhood and immediately remember that our experiences of gender are very much not the same.

#oh i don't like makeup #i know this sounds very pick me im not like other girls but im not talking about like #i mean stuff cis women talk about saying is a universal experience of womanhood in femanist spaces #they might be right but if they are i sure as hell am not a woman #idk genders hard #i just want to look like i was in a band in the 80s is that too much to ask? #idk do a lot of afab nb people find feminism really alienating and isolating at points #like they make these broad statements about womanhood that are often based on oppression and trauma #and oppression and trauma that ive experienced but the experience still feels so alienating #like even with stuff like makeup #i think a lot of it is basing everything about womenhood on either suffering or sisterhood #and sisterhood has universally treated me like shit historically and i don't feel like femmenity is suffering #i dont like all of it #theres a ton of it i dont like #but the stuff i do like I like because it makes me happy? #non binary #nb #lgbt
