Meeting the romanovs

Third doctor x F! reader

Please ignore any spelling mistakes thank you

This is my first real reader inserts i do not take requests for x readers but i do take requests for imagines

I really tried my best on this on it took 2 days to Wright 😅 But enjoy 😊

The doctor was bussy tinkering away with the TARDIS Dematerialisation circuit. When Jo came in "Doctor i got something for you Its from the brigadier its news about the last sightings of the master". "Thank you jo" awnserd the doctor not looking up from his expiriment. "Why are you tinkering with the circuit i thought it worked again?" asked jo while walking around the doctor's lab to pick some scattered papers that were laying around. "Wel you see jo" said the doctor "the circuit was a bit damaged not a lot but i wanted to see if i could repair it". "I see" nodded jo "Oh also have you seen y/n perhaps". "Yes i have seen her she is in the TARDIS cleaning the library and looking in the TARDIS wadarobe". "Oh alright Do you mind if i go looking for her?" Said jo with a smile on her face. "Not at all" awnserd the doctor "as long as nothing gets damaged" he said while smirking "I promis" said jo still smiling. She walked inside the TARDIS she still always wonders how its posible for it to be biger on the inside than out.

First she went to the library to look for Y/N, But she wasn't there then she remembered that the doctor told her that she also wanted to look in the TARDIS wadarobe. And there she found Y/N wearing a beautyfull white silken dress with gold and pearls (imagine the dress being longer) she also was wearing old heels looking to be around from the 1910s.

She did not notice jo until she opend her eyes to look in the mirror. "Oh jo" said y/n "i din't hear you come in". "I figured" said jo smiling while looking around. "Oh my i din't know that the TARDIS wadarobe had so many clothes". "amazing isn't it" y/n piked up her skirt and twirld around "what do you think jo?" "Oh you look wonderfull just like a real princess" "You know i found this book in the library"

"Oh wow"said jo as she looks at the cover of the book "wait isn't that about the family that was mudered in 1918?" . "Yes thats them and because we have a time machine i tought that i should ask the doctor that we could meet them perhaps in the year 1913 or 1914 because in 1915 they were helping in the war" said y/n while pacing around.

"You should ask the doctor mabey he has an idea about wich year is the best" .'"Oh alright jo i wil ask him" y/n grabed her book and made her way back to the TARDIS controle room and jo followed.

"Doctor?" . "Yes dear" said the doctor not taking his eyes of the Dematerialisation circuit.

"Um i was wondering if we parhaps could take a trip back in time". Finaly the doctor looked up and he asked "what are you wearing?" . "A dress i found it in the TARDIS"

"I see" said the doctor while putting his hand on his chin. "And what about the book?"

"I found it while cleaning the library and after i readed a part i thought that perhaps the TARDIS has something like the dress they wore in the 1914 formals"

Y/n said still smiling. "And i was wondering if we could go and meet the romanovs"

"Hmm" said the doctor while rubbing his chin. "Alright it sounds like a good idea then we also can take the TARDIS For a test drive, what about you jo do you want to come with us?"

"Oh yes" said jo smiling "but i don't think i can go like This".

"Don't worry i'll help you with that jo the doctor doesn't have to change that necessary" y/n said while grabing jo her arm and taking her in to the TARDIS.

After half an hour looking what would fit jo the best y/n found a beautyfull white silken dress that went to the floor it was Also decorated with gold some flowers and with butterfly wings on the bodice.

"What do you think about this jo?" Said y/n while she held up the dress. "Oh its wonderfull I found two pearl necklaces what do you think" . "Great now we only need to find a pair of shoes, oh look i think these would do just fine"

The TARDIS had landed and the doctor was waiting for the girls to come to the controle room, he had changed in someting from the time period to blend in more. As they made their way in the controle room he could not take his eyes of y/n she looked absolutly stunnig in the dress with her hair partly put up by a bow that she put in to her hair (i know they put up their hair when they became 16 and wore long dresses as wel) she really looked like a grand duchess herself.

"You look stuning my dear" said the doctor to y/n. "Thank you good sir you look amazing as wel" said y/n grinning. "Ready to go" the doctor asked both the girls while holding his arm out to y/n.

The TARDIS had landed in a garden at the winter palace it was wel hidden behind trees and plants, it is februari 1913 in the year of the romanov Tercentenary there would be a week of receptions and after that the Imperial family embarked on a tour following Mikhail I Romanov's route In may (please do excuse me if its not corect im trying my best)

Y/n and jo were looking their eyes out, the palace was absoluty beautyfull the walls were painted green, white and gold there is also a fence reached completly around the palace.

"Oh its so gorgeous" said y/n . jo was just staring at the masive structure and she said "i just don't hope we get lost" . "It be fine" said the doctor "i have a map of the winter palace in my pocket". "Oh good to know" said jo with a smile on her face. "Wel shall we go?" asked the doctor to both girls. "We shal" awnsered both y/n and jo.

They walked in to the palace it was even more beautyfull than in the book.

They came in the Jordan Staircase/Corridor and as you looked at the celing you could see a wonderfull painting the walls were painted gold y/n and jo wer just looking around mouth wide open while the doctor was grinning at them both.

They could here music playing from the ball room

When they got to the nicholas hall they saw a lot of people chatting away drinking wine and eating luxurious food people were sitting at long tables and a lot of them were dancing when y/n and jo steped in to the ball room some people turned to look at them

"Why are they starring at us?" Asked jo"I have no idea". "I think i know why they never have seen sutch beautyfull young ladies like you two". "Oh stop it doctor" said y/n while blushing. Jo was just smiling and looking at the doctor she knew that he has a crush on y/n and she was trying to set the doctor up with her.

Y/n was bussy looking around to see if she could spot the romanovs or any of the children. (Just imagine that maria, anastasia and alexei are there as wel) She only could see olga the oldest dancing around with her father. (This is not recoreded in history im just Making it up from this point on) The dance ended and nicholas (the father of OTMAA) went to sit next to his wife at the table of the romanovs y/n saw a servant standing behind the two royals he slipt something in their drinks out of a purple little vial and she knew that something wasn't right.

"Excuse me doctor but is it alright if i walk for a bit" . "Not at all dear" said the doctor smiling . "Jo do you want to dance with me?"

Y/n walked away to the table were nicholas and alexandra were sitting she saw the servant placing the two cups on the table, y/n started running to stop them from drinking the drinks.

"STOP!!!" screamed y/n. People looked at her in shock and bewildermend."don't drink that!" Nicholas and alexandra looked up in shock "what is this!" boomed nicholas 'Please your majesty what ever you do don't drink from that cup neiter must your wife." Said y/n.

"Papa!?" Y/n Turns around to see the five romanov children standing there in shock, maria had her hands over her mouth and anastasia looked like the was going to cry, olga was protecting tatiana and alexei.

The doctor was dancing with Jo when they heard a scream "STOP!" . "Was that y/n?" asked jo "It sounded like it" said the doctor while looking around. "Please your majesty what ever you do don't drink from that cup neiter must your wife." Came the voice of y/n again. "Yes that was y/n lets go and see what is going on" the doctor grabed jo her hand and ran to were the comotion was going on.

The doctor found y/n furiously pointing at a man behind nicholas "Y/n what is going on?" "Oh doctor while i was looking around i spoted that servant behind his majesty slipping something in his drink from a little vial" Nicholas heard what she said and ordered his guards "guards seize him!!" The guards looked in his coat and indeed found a purple little vial ."May i see it please asked the doctor to one of the guards" the doctor looked at the vial and smeld it "Arsenic" said the doctor while looking shoked. "Guards lock him up!" ordered nicholas alexandra was just sitting there in shock not saying a word and the children were scared as wel, jo walked up to them to ask if everything was alright.

"Y/n how did you see it from al the way there?" Asked the doctor ."I always had a good eyeside" she turned to nicholas and alexandra "im so sorry for all this your majesty's" said y/n while bowing. "No" said nicholas "thank you So mutch for warning us otherwise we might have been dead". Finaly alexandra said something "yes thank you is there anyway that we could repay you three?" Y/n looked at the doctor for a moment and he knew what she wanted he nodded. "Can we mabey stay for a few more days at the winter palace?" Asked y/n while bowing. "Yes of course" awnserd alexandra smiling.

Jo was still talking with the children trying to calm them down "Are you all alright?" Asked jo. "Yes for so far" awnserd olga while looking at her younger siblings "who are you?" She asked. "Im jo grant and that are the doctor and y/n l/n". Alexei walked away from olga up to y/n "Thank you So mutch for saving my papa and mama" said alexei while bowing to y/n. "The honour is all mine your imperial highness" said y/n back.

*Skip to the end of the ball*

"Maria, anastasia would you mind escorting our guests to their chambers" . "Of course mama" awnsered maria " please follow me" Anastasia started to walk next to y/n "do you have any hobbies?" Asked anastasia to y/n "yes i like *insert hobbies here*"

"Wow really?" Said anastasia "how about you anastasia?" smiles y/n. "Here we are" said maria to the three of them "this wil be your chamber miss grant and this is your chamber doctor and miss l/n we wish you three a good night". The doctor, Y/n and jo wished anastasia and maria a goodnight. Jo went to bed to her own room. Y/n was preparing herself for bed and so was the doctor. The doctor din't want to wait to ask her to be his girlfriend but he also din't want to go to fast. "Y/n?"asked the doctor "Yes?" Came the replie. "Um i want to ask you something" the doctor rubbed his neck While looking at the ground. "Go on" said y/n smiling. "Um how do i say this, y/n i like you, a lot actuly and i wanted to ask you to be my girlfriend" y/n looked at him in shock. "Really do you really mean that doctor"."yes i mean it with both my hearts" .of course I wana be your girlfriend" said y/n while hugging him she started crying of happyness.

"Let's go to bed dear" said the doctor "its late" y/n nodded and got in bed, the doctor layed down as wel and took y/n in his arms. "Sleep wel dear" the doctor kissed here forhead and y/n fell asleep with a smile on her face.
